Pirates were the bane of the travelling merchants, and this time they had gone too far. They had pushed past mere piracy when they took the lives of the people that were just trying to do honest work. Aegis' local contact from the city hall in Marigold informed him that there was a group that was going around attacking local trade ships leaving Port from Hargeon. They had always been a nuisance, as pirates have been all over in history, but recently due to the rebuilding efforts, supplies were needed all the more.
They didn't have much to go on to start, but they did know the general location where the ships are being attacked, and were also  willing to offer passage on one of their free ships to the location. Aegis however already had his own way of transportation via his personal airship, so he respectfully declined, and after finalizing all the information that they had, would begin his search over the next day. Taking the Airship from Marigold over to the port city did not take very long at all, but the scan of the sea was going to take much longer. Aegis did not take the little one with him, for he thought this was going to be too dangerous the trip. Especially for one so young depending on how the interaction with the Pirates went. As far as a mode of transportation goes, Aegis was definitely glad that the he had this at his disposal. It wasn't necessarily the fastest means of transportation, but it was definitely one of the handiest, because it didn't have very many limitations on flight paths or travel obstacles.

Who's very early on in the morning when he started his search, the winds were decently clear, and the temperature was low, but mild. It was very odd to be able to see and smell the sea that he enjoyed so much while not having many of the facial features to do so. It's been awhile since he was able to relax like this, even though he was on the job, and was prepared for the encounter, heaphelps a little bit of ease seat over him compared to the last few years.

From what the people in town had said about Pirates, it was hard to figure out if they were organized well or not. Some of them had said that they were strict enough and well organized to imply militaristic leadership, while others thought they were just Mindless goons packing fire and cannons on unsuspecting ships across by accident. Regardless, aegis was going to find out one way or the other. Several hours went by before anything was really seeing, and the only thing that was found even at the end of that time was debris floating around of the ocean. There were here only three people left, but it seems like they've been there for hours. Upon taking them on board the ship, they had informed him that it was indeed part so that act their ship. They were a civilian ship transporting food, and the Pirates took what they wanted before causing multiple explosions in their ship to cause it to sink in a myriad of pieces. After the freeing the refugees on board and getting them secured below deck, which took some convincing given the appearance of him, he took the coordinates and the direction that the ship was last seen Sailing by them and was able to gauge a general course to where they were heading. There was a alcove of small islands in the general direction where they just thought it was probably smart to assume that they were using it either as a layaway station or a base if they were that bold. Luckily it was only a few hours away from here, but by the time this is all come to pass, starting to get late in the sun was setting. They just decided to head back to port in order to drop off the civilian survivors before taking on the Pirates the next day. Accompany in a feeling that they should be home safe as a priority, and also having to consider that they may be more of a liability against the Pirates, came to that conclusion.

Given his newfound sight, Aegis had decided to make his way back to the encampment during the night, hoping that if there were any information leaks, they would not expect him until the day after. The flight back to not take nearly as long, has he now had a direct route and a specific destination to head towards. It didn't take too long on the Airship for the islands in question to come into view. From what he'd seen, apparently this was not a bass at all, but merely a staging ground they had set up. There was a few tents and a very shoddy log cabin crafted on the shoreline of one of the islands, with a large fire going in the background covered in darkness from the night sky. It seems like most of the Pirates were unaware of the presence of either Aegis or the airship at the time, so his plan revolved and formulated around that. He took a short period of time to look around at the people and the ship ancored further offshore. From what he's seeing from scouting there were not any sentries placed upon the ship itself, does he was assuming that this was not a very well maintained operation. What's the plants seem to be very self-contained as most of them are still on the upper deck of the ship. He was unsure if the Pirates were trying to unload them, never properly put them below deck take care of them. Very cautious quietly, the airship, with all lights off and in full dark no, pulled up and lowered itself beside the pirate ship. He's slowly through multiple trips brought all of the Food Supplies back on board the airship, and by the end of it leaving nothing for the Scoundrels that had stolen it.

As the last of the food and other supplies were put on his ship, he made sure they were secured and locked down below deck. Something the Pirates should have done if they had any clue what they were doing. There was too many along the shoreline for him to want to engage them directly himself, because he had no information on the abilities of the Pirates themselves and that was the cause of some concern. A few he could probably handle easily, but not more than a crew of Shipmates. Jumping One Last Time back onto the pirate ship, he went below deck picture and search for any of the explosives that they had used for powder or making flame. He was in luck, as there was quite a bit stored Underground, at least they had the decency and common sense to keep that hidden. Although he couldn't fight them all at the same time without planning, he did think of a way of evening the odds. After rigging the powder to blow up along the farthest outside of the ship from him where the loading would occur for the Pirates coming back to the ship, he waited. As soon as they had come on board the ship, Theo give him a speed increase, as he detonated the flammables around the Pirates. Several of them. Back into the water from the explosion, some were flat-out nocta just from the concussion wave or the particles of wood flying about. There are several left that were still standing however, to which aegis one shot them with almost in human speed, and a blurred image as his clothes and clothing meshed way too well with the night. The only thing you put its could really see is the blue glow of eyes as his weapon met each of them swiftly.

He did not enjoy ending people, but this was there due that they were owed for their behaviour and actions as it could not be pardoned. People were trying to rebuild and recreate the lives that they lost in those of their loved ones that had past, there was no room for this currently in any form. Upon making it back to the city, which took a much longer amount of time as he had time and what was left of the pirate vessel to his Airship and towed it all the way, the townsfolk were very receptive to have their supplies returned. Most of them were still a little skeptical as of what he was, but they seem to view him in a bit of a higher regard.After turning in the cargo, he went to the local portmaster, and turned in what was left the pirate ship for supplies and scrap. He couldn't really use them much himself, maybe they would be able to use at least some of the supplies to put towards making new ships that were lost due to the actions of these recently deceased individuals.
