In the distance of the small amount of wood lines a sound could be heard that didn't quite sound like chopping wood. It seemed too wet, and a small noise outside of that could be heard as well but it seemed to be too distance to make out what it was. If anyone was nearby to hear it and decided to investigate they would start moving deeper into the forest, well out of sight of the road and nearly a mile inwards before they came across a clearing and the horror that was in the clearing could bring most people to their knees from vomiting.

The ground was slick with a crimson wet substance, the smell of copper and metal was thick enough in the air it could almost be tasted. It appeared to be a campsite for what looked to be three, what appeared to have the body of teenager or adult wood elves if it was not for the fact that they were covered in this crimson smelly substance and another major feature was the fact that their heads were missing from their bodies, the red liquid leaving the stumps of their necks even though their hearts did not pump anymore. Their bodies were strewn around, in various places around a circle of a campfire.

Standing next to the campfire was a monster of a man, or it might not have been a man at all. Its armor was slick with the same substance as the former elves, though the gauntlets seemed to be the slickest with the liquid. Its armor was also the same color of the blood but with what appeared to be rusty brass highlights at various areas of the shoulders and chest. The being word a large, what appeared to be bearskin cloak over the back of it, spikes coming from the armor holding it in place and at its side was a massive double-headed battle-ax. It appeared to be finely made, though not mastercrafted or even something you could not easily find at any store in any major city but it did have an odd symbol on it. It was a triangle with a skull on the top of the said triangle, with two large bars coming out to either side of the skull but ending at the same point width-wise as the triangle below it. On top of the skulls came two bars, at a fifteen-degree angle before going parallel with the bars coming out the side and ending at the same length as the others.

The worst part of all of this was most likely that if the girl looked at the hand of this monster, it had something bright white in its hand, holding it in its upturned open palm. It was a bleached white skull of a Wood Elf. The monster seemed to be looking at the skulls, before leaning down and putting the skulls into a bag, which held two other skulls that looked very similar to the one he just held.

The monster would then start to get up, grabbing its ax in a single hand before preparing to leave with's it haul of new skulls.

The smell of blood drew in the shadowy figure of Fujaku, He had been sleeping in the nearby area and upon smelling the coppery substance, his scarred and ruined eyes opened wide. He had made his way toward the spot, his arms having been replaced by the man who had saved him nearly a year ago, but his body no longer felt his own. He had been asleep for nearly a year when he had awoken to an entirely new world. No nervas Order, No demons to fight. However, He hadnt grown quiet in that time. He quickly got himself back to healthy operation. however, given how stubborn his own mindset was, it wouldnt be hard for him top wind back up like he had been.

Fujaku had only his clothing, no weapons of any kind. Yet he still found himself drawn to the bloody smell as if by instinct. He came out of the shadowed area looking at the large suit of armor infront of him. The blood didnt disturb the man, who looked at the armored Figure in silence. He wouldnt waste his words on this man, no...this beast. It was taking trophies like a monster could only do. Fujakus body was ruined by battle scars, he removed the top of his clothing exposing his battle destroyed skin. He look down at the man despite his height.

Ragnar had his bag of skulls next to him, and as he put the last one in the bag he heard the sound of something that surprised him. Running towards him. This couldn't be reinforcements from the Wood Elves, they would not be running that loudly Ragnar assumed. As he reached down to grab his ax, he was surprised when he saw a man run out into the clearing in front of him.

The man was human and was wearing a set of what appeared to be priest robes but they were tattered and seemed to not be recently washed. His cloak and pants were black in color but his shirt was white in color. Ragnar took a second to realize that he was unarmed, but this was a world of Mages, so he most likely still had magic to deal with as he knew that he had to stop this man quickly before he became a problem or got in the way of his bounty ending up at the shrine to his god.

Standing at his full height how, and taking the ax in both hands, his left hand at the base of the ax and the right towards the head of it, resting just under where the head of the double-headed ax reached the wood. Ragnar started to walk forward, he had no idea who this man was or what he was capable of but he had to see if he could close the distance quickly.

Ragnar ran straight at him, his armor not slowing him down as he attempted to lunge straight at him, he knew the man could most likely not lunge backward to get out of the way and Ragnar could cover the distance between them very quickly. Ragnar luckily had a range advantage over the man, as his ax was nearly 5 feet long, before adding Ragnar's arm length of 3 feet. This gave Ragnar an 8-foot reach when the ax was fully swung which would allow the man even less time to react as he closed the distance.

Once he was within that 8-foot reach, much farther then what Ragnar assumed an unarmed fighter like him would be used to deal with, he began to swing the ax, taking his right hand and sliding it down towards his left as he tried to get as much rotation and power behind the hit as he could in a single swing while taking a step forward to add even more power. This swing would be aimed for the man's guts, meaning that if the man wanted to move down to dodge it he would most likely get hit in the head, or if he tried to jump it, it would likely hit the bottom of his legs.

Another reason why Ragnar took that step forward as to bring the ax blade so that it would strike the man in the center of the ax blade, and with Ragnar's ax being 40 centimeters long (15 inches) the ax head being in the center means that the man would have to move over 7 inches towards Ragnar or away from him in order to dodge the blow fully. This would most likely be hard for a man that while he might have expected a fight, most likely did expect a fight from someone nearly as fast as he is.

Fujaku Nijiiro
Fujaku sprung into a sprint toward the monsterous man, he wasnt trying to avoid the bodies. He got to the first body as the giant of a man began to raise his weapon. He pulled the Rusty Dagger from the wood elfs corpse and Stepped back quickly to avoid the mans axe head. it took a few strands of Joshuas Long hair, but it would miss him otherwise given how he moved back. he held the dagger read, the other ready to act if it needed to. Fujaku was more familiar with the katana of his homeland, but a dagger would cut just as nicely against such a large foe.

His eyes werent a normal color, the damage done to them by Konstatins rouge lightning strike had changed them into an electric blue. He was within the mans axe range, but he stood his ground as he watched the giant. The man wore skulls on his armor, and he even carried a bag of skulls, which Fujaku could see on his hip. He smiled brightly, it wasnt a smile of sanity or craziness. But of pure determination. He didnt speak again as he ran toward the giant man. And should he try to attack him with that axe, or with his body Fujaku would throw himself into a slide over the bloody wet dirt and between the mans legs, letting the momentum carry him to the other side where he would slash at the mans ankle and groin. He wasnt familiar with this armor itself, but he knew from the Samurai he had seen that those areas provided the least protection given they needed to be mobile.

If he allowed him to get close, Fujaku would fake him out by throwing the knife at the ground between the mans legs, and launch himself into a full strength kick to the mans face. From there he would try to recover the knife and continue with a flurry of slashes and stabs. He knew he wasnt strong enough to kill the man with one hit, but he would strike as quickly as he could at the mans vital areas. his groin, armpits, waist, neck, and eyes were all targets for Fujaku to attack and force the man into a defensive style, hopefully.

As Ragnar watched his axe swing through the air, he wanted to see if the man would dodge him somehow or if he would take the hit and then most likely go down. He didn't seem like he could take a full-blown hit from Ragnar's ax but he could be very surprised and has seen some men take shots that he could not. Ragnar watched as the man took a dive, grabbing something off the ground near the elves he had slaughtered before bouncing up and taking a set back. He could see that the ax missed the man by inches, as he saw parts of his hair come off and fall slowly to the ground.

Hmmm. So, this one can at least dodge. We would have to see how well he could fight in close combat then. Ragnar had made the first move and he was willing to see what the man would do next. As he stood up he saw a look in the man's eyes that he had seen all too many times before from people who's heads are now on the Throne of his Lord. Ragnar smiled under his helmet as he thought to himself that this skull would be put into the bag with the others soon enough. As he looked to see what the man would do, he was surprised when he saw him running straight towards him with what appeared to be a small knife, that must be what he picked up from that elf body. Ragnar moved his ax into a defensive pose, which was basically the exact same as if he was going to swing it, with his left hand on the bottom of the ax and his right hand right below the ax head as he waited.

His eyes followed the dagger for a moment, before realizing, slightly too late that it was a feint. As his eyes came up he managed to see the foot raising through the air and heading towards his face. Ragnar then did the one thing he knew how to do. Move forward. Ragnar took one massive step forward, getting now well within the man's fighting circle. The kick due to him stepping forward towards him, would now hit him in the shoulder of his armor instead of his head, which his armor took without an issue but now his opponent had a bigger problem. Ragnar was now standing between him and the knife, and he still had his ax leveled against the man's now open chest.

With the step forward, Ragnar made no attempt to block the kick as he then shoved both of his hands forward, ax still in hand as he jacked the entire weight of the ax across the Fujaku's chest and arms. This would be very difficult to dodge due to how close Ragnar was to Fujaku, and the fact that his leg used to kick him was still coming down from the hit on his shoulder.

Fujaku tried to move out of the way. But he wasnt quick enough as he found his arms badly bruised by the flat of the axe. He had blocked and been thrown back to the tree line. He groaned in pain and then laughed, he laughed long and loudly. "This is what I wanted! To feel this close to heaven again." He smiles and stands up before stepping back from the fight and into the tree. "I'll give you this one, you can have this fight and I'll live to see another day. But mark my words monster," he smiled and pointed his good arm at the man "you will live and keep on living, never finding s proper fight to fill your soul. That's  my curse for you, a curse of never satifsction!"

He turned and ran his arms nearly broken. He would be in for a lengthy recovery before his next fight. Bit he was sure hed get to have another one.  He made his way deeper into  the forests and soon left the farm land entirely. He  hoped the threat of curse alone would rattle the man, Fujaku couldnt hell but laugh at the idea.

But he had seen the mans true strength. His raw potential tail was far from unlocked. Fujaku couldnt wait to see what the world would like with a man like that on that on the loose. He wouldn't be able to fight him. But he could thrive off of the chaos the man would cause. Perhaps he could even use it to his advantage one day.

As Ragnar thrust his arms forward into the man, he felt his ax hilt hit home and he could almost feel the bones in the man's arm start to give way, but it wasn't quite enough. With a growl in anger, Ragnar saw the man get thrown into the tree line. Ragnar was already starting to stalk his opponent, being slow as he didn't think he was going to make a run for it and he would stay and fight. Ragnar stopped for a moment as his opponent yelled his curse at him, stunning the man for a moment as he had heard of curses before done by mages on people but this didn't have any of the signs of it. As he looked at the feet of the man to see if a magic circle had appeared he looked up in time to see him making a run for it.

Even more, enraged now by the trick, Ragnar lifted his ax above his head in two hands, both hands at the bottom of the ax's aft as he then chucked the ax as hard as he could at the fleeing enemy. Ragnar was not trained in this and this came out of just a moment of pure rage and wanting his enemy to stop running. It did manage to embed itself into a tree, deep enough that it hides half the blade of his ax in it. Realizing that he would have to get his weapon out of the tree, Ragnar went up to the tree and attempted to pull the ax out of it. Much to his surprise the ax did not come out on the first pull, and it took Ragnar several seconds to pull the ax out of the tree. By the time he looked back to see where his enemy had gone, they were long gone.

Roaring in anger into the wood, his roar echoing off the woods around him, he slammed his two-headed ax into the tree he hit earlier, felling it in a single stroke as he realized his prey had gotten away. This was the first real fight he had in these new lands and it ended without a man's skull in his hands. Ragnar looked down at this bag of bleached white skulls as his rage lessened. He still got skulls for his Lord, that should please him at the very least even if one of them got away.

Ragnar then turned and started to go back in the direction he needed to go to.
