Faris was always an open minded type, he wanted to learn so many things from so many places. When he arrived in Myras as he started to learn and gather information about the place. He learned what the Lower District was like and about. He would go there first.

Was there some kind risk? as always there was in what was considered lower areas. But Faris was use to these kind of places if he remember right maybe it was kind of like some of the places in Seven.

Faris wanted to find the interesting, Wanted to find the odd things that not a lot people would expect, these are things are what made life for Faris, Then again Faris was a simple lad to make happy so he is not hard to understand.

In his various interest being at it's peek Faris finally entered when he just started at the beginning if the market of various goods. That is also just might be Faris being a super curious man about this land he was just learning about.

Faris was the type to find the good in everything, even in the lowest of area, The people working upon the market place here was a sign of people making the best of the situation, To Faris this was beautiful to see.

Now he had to wonder what was around here of interest for him, Faris wanted to make sure he bought a few things here to support the lower district people. Because he wanted to be sure some money he could spend here would go to some kind of use. The weather was nice, the market seemed quiet and nice everything was in place for Faris to have a fairly nice day with his first visit to Myras entirely, He was hoping it would stay that way.

Masami
Masami, upon entering the city, wasn't exactly able to visit the safer places of Myras. Even the middle district could successfully intimidate him, and the gap between the differences of the middle and lower districts are huge. When he strolled around the streets of the said district, he found it awfully dissimilar, but similar, to his hometown back then in Joya. People were easily found working, but it was inevitable to be gazed upon. These people seemed to suspect almost everyone, and Masami was one of them.

Based on the previous townsmen Masami had encountered, he was told that thieves, smugglers, or even killers, may commonly dwell in the lower district. Masami couldn't exactly understand such logic; in Joya, poor or not, they worked hard. They had high morals and ideals which lead the shinobi (or assassins in general) into complete shade else beheaded if caught. No one seemed to dare break laws, but it seemed to be different here...?

Still wearing the traditional clothes (albeit feminine), obviously the clothes people do not see often. Compared to the people here in the lower district, Masami wasn't able to camouflage; the way he clothed himself made him appear rich, despite not having much in his pockets. If anyone tried touching these hand-woven, silky gifts, they'd most likely get their hands burned. However, because the ratio between Masami and the number of people who could bring him chaos is about... 1:15(?), Masami learned to suspect anyone and brought him to finding ways to stay safe. He felt as if he was being followed, and quite was. He has seen the same faces lurked behind him, even if he had crossed many sides and corners/ Although the lower district is, well, lower, it seemed to be a big place, and everything could almost making him go crazy.

There'd be a man, obviously a foreigner, a red-head like that of the boy's guild master, whom he had just spotted. If not a foreigner, perhaps he was someone from the Silver or at least the Middle district because of the way he was clothed. Simply (and immediately), Masami lightly tugged himself onward the man while gently tugging his cloth. 'Yikes, so tall!' Masami, being aware of looking like some pupper begging for food, intimidated himself. He was trying to get as near as possible, even tip-toeing, because he'd like to whisper something. He seemed to be unable to, however.

"S-Sir... would," he was struggling to speak, his tip-toeing body kept losing posture, "t-the bad guys... I think the bad guys are on me, so I'm asking for some assistance." In Masami's logic, there was no way this person was malevolent. Was there a reason for rich Myras people to continue smuggling? Or at least, it was more like a wish rather than an assumption.

Tomoe Tanaka
Confidence breeds ignorance

That was a quote Tomoe had heard at one point in his life, from a person he couldn't remember, in a location that he couldn't recall. While he didn't disagree, he found that a lack of confidence was even worse than any kind of ignorance. Despite this, as any other day passed by in the lower district of Myras, he couldn't help but find himself sighing at the forsaken among the poor and working class living here. There was nothing to indicate that any of them would have futures outside of the stalls and shops that littered the roads, and the confidence and optimism that some of them showed brought a tinge of disgust and an unsatisfied frown upon Tomoe's features. He sighed as he moved along the markets, knowing that he could've very easily settled for a life as a working class merchant being stomped out on the heel of the nobility above them.

He was better than that - he had grown to be above that, he even thought. He'd taken what he knew of the ways of the scoundrels of the world and adapted those ways to things more ambitious in nature.

It was in the middle of this thought process that out of the corner of his eye, Tomoe saw a familiar face moving about.

That's...

The Joyan moved towards Masami, one of the new members of the guild, with a wave in greeting. He seemed to be talking to someone else who was an unfamiliar face, but that wasn't enough to stop the crimson cutthroat from barging in anyway.

"Hey! Masami! What's goin' on, man? How's it been?", Tomoe called out while approaching at a casual pace towards his fellow guild member.

Did poor Faris not realize what situation he might be in now, Well he did not actually Faris thought he was just shopping or spying/eyeing up futures dates to ask out almost slightly typical given what guild he was in. So far really no one really knew that is how Faris was. But he did look at what was tagging on some part of his outfit, Faris would look over and in his normal way of acting and even in his normal Seven accent he would greet who was tagging on his shirt."Oh Hello, What is wrong?"Faris did pick up that something might be off with this person.

Faris kind of heard what was said to him then looked around confused."What bad guys?"Faris had to asked while he did. Internally thinking to himself about how some kind of casual day he had started just started going down hill, Why did he have to happen to go to the area that would go down hill, He just wanted to go shopping and maybe at least try to make one new friend. Maybe this person could be a new friend then, did not seem like a bad idea to consider.

Faris had to wonder how he could help if he had really no idea for what he had to fight or deal with."No seriously what bad guys?!"Faris had to ask, surely he would help if it actually was something he could see, He did not want to seem blind nor insane. Even now some one mentioned who was attached to Faris so to say, his name was Masami that was one thing cleared out of the way, Where were these bad guys, who was this other red haired man and did he just get stuck in something he did not expect.

Masami
The tone of the man's voice, respectively, based on Masami's perception, had been forcing the boy to answer immediately. Because of this, Masami's eyes started to feel like straining, that distinctive painful feeling humans get before tearing up. Adolescents are way too fluid – Masami was honestly just fine, but feeling like it wasn't taught him the feeling of not being fine at all. He ended up sniffling upon the man's words while simply shaking his head left and right. With a round of applause embedded in the boy's inner dialogues, the awfully familiar voice he heard from behind him caught his attention.

Slowly turning his head against him, the apple of the eye catching his vision, Masami felt gracefully relieved that it was someone familiar. "M-Master!" Masami was so relieved that he spoke in Joyan language on impulse, not even sure whether anyone could ever understand what he meant. Seeing Tomoe, the guild's master, felt like the satisfaction you get from finally opening a stuck jar lid. If only Tomoe was Masami's sibling and not someone else, he would've already wrapped himself upon him like a child hugging a tree. Upon this, he had stopped tip-toeing, but still holding the foreign man's cloth, but then Masami had to wipe the crocodile tears off of his eyes before it ruins his face.

He could've almost forgotten what was going on, embarrassing. With the three of them finally together nearby, "I was being followed, I'm sure of it!" he stated this with assurance, "I've been told that there are many thieves in this district... considering that I'm obviously not from here, they've probably gotten an eye out for me!" Let's be honest, Masami wasn't completely sure. He was sure, however, at the first few ten minutes, but not anymore. The suddenly airy feeling of safety embraced him to the point of forgetting what being vaguely threatened by future misfortune felt like; knowing Tomoe, if something happens, he'd just kick their asses off like a cool guy he's supposed to be! Not to mention the embarrassment that ought to come, Masami immediately distanced himself from the foreigner and bowed.

"I'm very sorry for the inconvenience!" just like a soldier, he pronounced each word with stress. Right after the strong bow, he stood up straight and raised the left hand up, "I meant no harm, so please shake this hand to prove each others' innocence!" In the back of his mind, Masami had noticed that both of these guys are redheads. 'Not the right time to think about that now.' he answered himself, however, making a straight, stiff stance, trying hard to prove that Masami was innocent.

#6Tenshi †

Learning What Lurks Below.(open) Empty Mon Jun 01, 2020 11:28 pm

Tenshi †

What did it mean to be right?

There were as many answers as there were people. Those who could come up with their own answer were often in a position in which they could be considered strong. Often, one could not respond to the question unless they were capable of supporting their answer. Those who argued against the norm had to be ready to defend their views, and in a world of might and magic, that often meant with violence. As society had evolved, the answers slowly began coalescing into a singular response. With the rule of the royals, the cunning of the nobles, and the might of the guilds, there were few who could offer up their own answer.

Luckily, Tenshi was one of the few.

Those who were right were those who were powerful. When one had struck down all the opposing answers before them, then they were truly right. He had experienced such a battle before, fighting for his way of life and his ideal of what was right. That was in another world, in another time. One could argue that he fought in vain, and had he not been revived in this strange offshoot reality, he may have even agreed with them.

Yet now here he was, full of his old memories from his old life. He felt it akin to winning a lottery, as all his lessons learned were now dancing around his brain. He had not acted in vain; he had learned, he had grown, and now he was ready to put that knowledge into action.

Before that, though, he needed to ensure that he had properly adjusted to this body. In his past, he was a warrior who fought with a vast array of magics, and a vast array of elements. That past knowledge, fabricated or not, was enough that he could well enough remember the fighting styles that evolved around mana. This body, however, seemed void of magic. Though he had mana, quite the reserve of it, it seemed whoever the previous owner was fought with only their physical abilities, and their equipment. He had trained relentlessly since gaining this new form, and he had tested his body against some small fry.

And he was about to do so again.

Footsteps closing in, it was likely that the three who were caught in their own world hadn't even noticed that the streets had gone silent. They were all close together, no more than a meter apart from one another, but they would certainly be knocked out of their stupor when one of them noticed the fourth man who had arrived. Stepping out of an alley that was just off to the side of them, his sword already in his hands and before him vertically, Tenshi was seven meters away from the closest individual- A blond nervous man who seemed convinced he had been followed. What a coincidence it was that he'd been right.

"Hello," he said to the three men who would only just become aware of his presence, still in their starting spots. None of them had yet casted magic, likely due to Tenshi's arrival being near when the blond individual had finished speaking. His introduction had come literally on the last syllable that he'd uttered, and right when he'd have become visible to them. There had simply been no time for them to act yet. This was going to be fun.

Tomoe Tanaka
It wasn't very long after he had heard Masami and the unnamed redhead bickering about "bad guys" that Tomoe had assumed something to be wrong. It was the lower district, after all. Being someone who grew up among such squalor himself, the Joyan took to scanning with his eyes and ears while allowing the conversation of the other two to continue in the background. Was it Odin again? Was it the cultist assassins coming for the heads of him and those he associated with, like he had been thinking recently? Knights having come to find him for his past deeds and questioning his allies? In either case, it wasn't the sort of thing that had him at ease.

With quiet streets, it wasn't very difficult at all to discern the sounds of clanking metal and rattling bones working in unison to a tempo reminiscent of walking and growing louder as the sound got closer. Being a quiet area in the first place before Tomoe had even arrived, and now with fewer people around to speak at all, it wasn't much to find its source. Having looked towards the source quickly on the assumption that it was Aegis with that same and similar sound of metal pressing against bone, Tomoe was met with an unfamiliar face; already wielding a sword and approaching them.

Seeing a random nutjob approach from an alley with a sword in hand, armor with bones adorning it and a sharpened glare, Tomoe acted on instinct as he always had. Before the man could even introduce himself, the Joyan had summoned his blades and drawn his sword at the same time. In his right hand was a regular sword, finely polished. In his left hand was a conjured blade like the others that had appeared from thin air. And above his head were seven more magically conjured swords, three of which immediately moved to be half a meter in front of Tomoe and facing vertically with half a meter of distance between each sword. The remaining four levitating blades would point themselves while stationary and in midair at the strange man, aim trained on him by the time he had said "hello". The crimson cutthroat's eyes had never left sight of the new arrival since he first appeared on the scene.

"State your business here, bud, or move along.", Tomoe stated, eyes fixed on the man and blades ready to be fired off at a moment's notice, even willing to interrupt his own words to react to an attack if he would be cut off mid-sentence; it wouldn't be the first time that had happened to him, after all, and he was more than willing to forgo words if his potential opponent had no interest in them.

If this was the "bad guy" that was being shouted about, things needed to be settled here before they got worse.

Well Faris had come to the reality the person whom was holding on to him, Was not paranoid at all. Faris would start backing this blonde manaway as the man who casually already pulled out his own sword  towards this scared small tiny man. This was not really exactly what Faris had in mind. Nervously Faris would just say."Good day to you fine sir."Faris was far too polite of a person, his accent from being from Seven was more apparent since he was slightly nervous or then again more then slightly."I don't assume we could just put our weapons away, Not try to fight or harm one another and go on our merry way?"Faris had a feeling him saying this was entirely pointless, But he was using it to continue built space between since there was a meter away, Faris was just gonna try to delay it more with his talking while walking backwards, Either the meter would close quickly or it would be maintained.

This seemed to be going other ways fast, more weapons? Did Faris really come to the wrong side of town, Maybe he needed to consider finding some one of his guild to try and ease the situation."Maybe we can just get some drinks and avoid this problem huh?" Faris had a feeling still this entire situation would not work, He still wanted to try anyway, Just being a bit casual and hopefully some what sneaky about it.

It was the only thing to think to do while slowly edging whom was holding on to him more behind him so that way there was still some one in front of the sword who was not the intended target. one of the other men here seemed to already be ready for combat, which was wonderful to realize as Faris was here entirely with nothing ready at all. Was rushing actions going to be needed here, Was Faris doing the right thing? he had so many questions internally that he did not have answers for.

Masami
'Has it always been this quiet...?'

The scenario was nothing that of Masami expected. These are the types of moments where, back in the theater, he had to work off-script due to certain scenarios – such as another actor forgetting their lines or stating the wrong dialogues, or a character entering at the incorrect timing. At first, he didn't turn to check the fourth person, assuming that they'd be an acquaintance of one of the three and that there'd be nothing to worry about, supposedly. However, the other red-head, the person Masami wasn't acquainted with in the first place, had a look on his face that convinced Masami to glance at the same direction – then almost held his breath after taking it in.

Primarily, Masami only looked at Tomoe. The blond's eyes focused only unto him, the guild master he'd never think would appear with such seriousness. Everything felt like a theatrical play – props floating in mid-air, except these were all real. It was nothing like Masami had seen before, slightly convincing himself to believe that none of these were real at all, trying to convince himself not to inspect the fourth person, who is the cause of these responses. However, it was as if the blond's eyes automatically scanned him; the fourth person did not appear to have any sort of malevolence, but the 'feeling' was definitely there. If it meant to be illogical intuition, then so be it. Masami, although being taught to be prepared in season and out of season, was not prepared at all.

Impulsively, he held unto the clothing of the tall man that he approached earlier, later noticing that he, himself, was already behind that stranger. Although aware of his youth, Masami felt younger in a way that made him feel so timid about himself –  despite his body not shaking nor trembling or any sort, he peeked instead of directly looking. His eyes wide open, however, and taking small deep breaths to gape through what was happening as his heartbeat continues to beat louder. Masami almost couldn't hear anything else.

"Tomoe?"

It seemed the stand still needed to be broken, So Faris would break it himself. With Masami still clinging on to him Faris made up with a quick plan to get out of there, As well as Masami. Faris would for the most part remain quiet while he continued his backing up, until he stopped for a moment. He had an idea that he could do that felt like it had a small chance of working.

"See, no one has to get hurt."Faris mentioned still trying to be a bit collective about it, Faris then would lean down slightly pick up Masami to piggy back carry him and starting jogging his way out of the situation. Saying to Masami."Sorry but I am getting you out of here."Faris mentioned when he did and took off in his jog, Because he did not mention it to Masami and it was rather sudden so there in some manner was some shock to be expected, Faris kept all of this in mind because he was looking to get some one out of a dangerous situation, So unexpected things where most likely going to happen. Faris would keep his pacing doing until he felt it was safe enough distance away Or he was out of energy.

Faris had ran until he did not see Tomoe or the strange man that pointed a weapon at him and whom he was carrying. Feeling winded enough from running Faris finally stopped. Leaning low enough to allow Masami to get off all he would say is."You should be fine now, I do not know where else you go from here." Faris seemed a bit tired and would mention."It is better you get away now, Just in case we're followed."Hopefully Masami would chose then to leave, Because when that would happen Faris would leave the Lower district himself, A bit slower because he was a bit exhausted from what he just did.

The boy had to leave a quiet "Tomoe..." as he continued to peer from the back of the taller acquaintance. Everything would've went smoothly if only these sudden things did not happen, but then the Joyan continued to slightly blame himself for not being stronger, being willing to learn from this lesson and always be ready. He was being submissive enough to let the red-headed man carry Masami, somehow trusting in him even if the blond was aware that they have just met. There was something strange about the fourth person's eyes that made Masami forget how to breathe whenever he looks at them, thus finally breathing in when the stranger started to jog away, Masami still looking behind to slowly watch the figure of Tomoe and the fourth man slowly fade away into the background, until Masami could no longer see them as the red-headed acquaintance, whose name was not mentioned to Masami before, had seemed to successfully hid the boy when they were finally in a distance where both Tomoe and the fourth man could no longer be seen. "Thank you, kind sir." almost tearing up, Masami wasn't even able to look at the tall man in the eyes, looking down as he shoveled his fingers upon the overcoat's fabrics.

He nodded over the man's last statements, not waiting for him to leave first before Masami could run away as well with the intention to completely leave the Lower District, but not in the same direction as where the red-head was walking slower this time, compared to Masami who still had the energy. He hoped that his guild master would be fine, but then he hoped more that nothing else would happen after this. Just in case there would be sounds of destruction from a distance, Masami would run faster and perhaps ask for help. Perhaps Myras' guards won't allow that sort of disturbance in their city.

"Later, weirdo.", Tomoe blurted out after the others had left, ensuring that the strange man wouldn't pursue them and intending to intercept with his blades if he did.

After they were out of sight and out of mind, Tomoe would sigh and begin the process of walking away. He walked down the street until he was clear of sight from the man, magic dispersed and just wanting to be out of view of the shady piss-alley that the man had rolled out of. Was he a bum? Probably. Some bum that crawled out of the trash or something after a nice nap. Must be nice to sleep so soundly no matter one's circumstances. What an awful place, Myras was.

After turning the corner onto another street where the man wouldn't be able to see him, glances occasionally being drawn over his shoulder, Tomoe would put a finger to his mouth to activate one of his spells. At the same instant as he put a finger to his mouth, he dug his heels into the ground. He would turn completely invisible and also make no noise, a perfectly undetected being. At the same time as turning invisible he would also lunge forth twice to gain distance between him and the creepy piss-alley weirdo from around the corner. After lunging twice, he would break out into a sprint away from the lower district while still invisible. With his speed there was no doubt that he'd make it to the middle district before long. Even if he didn't, he was among other civilians by this time and whatever sparse guards littered the lower districts of Myras. Anybody wishing violence at this point would need to deal with the repercussions of their actions in full.

"Well that was a fuckin' thing.", Tomoe muttered after escaping the lower district.

That was all he could think to say to describe it. A thing. There was nothing else to it than that.
