The light mage was far away from the guild and didn't feel it was necessary to travel all the way back. Instead, he sent word to the guild that he was leaving it all behind.
He stood at the station for a moment. Thinking back about the only person in the guild that he had really met. Her kindness would stay with him and hopefully, they would have the chance to meet again one day. He slipped the message into train compartment bound for Magnolia. A place he had never really called home.
If being in Marigold had taught him anything it was that he needed to find his focus again. He slung the glaive over his shoulder. It was lighter than he remembered.
He had spent some time in the wilds. The glaive in his hand and magic at the ready. He trained through the days and into the nights with his weapon and his magic until the weight became lighter and his spells became more precise. That training left him able to hold onto the weapon with more ease. He had already improved himself and finally decided that being a Fairy Tail mage was not for him. Maybe it was the wrong time for it.
After he sent the letter, his heart felt a disconnect with the place. The tattoo on his hand vanished and once again he was a wanderer trying to find his way in the world.
He strolled back into town and headed for the bar he had been working out. At least for now he could make a small living there and peddle some charms until he rode out on his own once more.
Before he turned to leave the train station with the letter mailed he overheard a conversation.
"Hey did you hear about that guild really making its presence known."
"Yeah, I think there is an article about it in a recent paper." The two men jabbered back and forth.
Jin turned to see a rack of magazines and papers. On the cover of one of them was an article about the current state of some of the guilds. Well as current as these articles could be. One name caught his attention more than the others. A guild with an avian symbol. "Hmm, maybe it is time for something new."
