"Don't wander too far, Winter. We haven't been here before and I don't intend on either of us getting lost." Rinni warned, but despite her stern tone she couldn't help but smile at her adorable friend. Rinni proceeded to take a stroll along the edge of the forest. It was peaceful, quiet (aside from the occasional owl) and Rinni took this time to isolate herself from humanity.
A lot had happened in the past month or so. She had done so many requests and had grown so much stronger as a result. She had even defeated two werewolves and had the scars to prove it. Her shoulder still burned from that last one. She had also made a friend and gained a companion. She hoped to see her friend again someday, to thank him for all he'd done for her. He gave her more than a free ride to some shelter, he had increased her self confidence that day.
She was still a bit shy and awkward around strangers, but where the change affected most was her personal level of self-esteem. She was less scared of failure because all failure meant was getting up and trying again. She could do that. It was easy to learn from mistakes. The real challenge came from succeeding in a task that you were ill-prepared for.
