He stood up with the crystal orb in his palms, big enough to be held by both. Once extracted, the cure with be done in a bottle, then Masami can send it off to Joya for his mother to consume; apparently, with faith and instinct, Masami trusted that this method will work. All he has to do is complete the production then send the parcel to Joya, but how will he accomplish it when he is surrounded by nothing but burning wood and fire? Before Masami could even look at the rest of his surroundings, he was pulled by a man by the back of his collar. "What are you doing, boy?! Evacuate quickly!" they said, dragging Masami out of the half-constructed structure he was in, and the boy was light enough to be lifted off of the ground. A while ago, this was Zeami's home: the furnished, Joyan space with a cherry blossom tree that seeped from the outside. However, now, it's nothing more than a burnt house, whose roof is no longer to be seen. This allowed Masami to see the alignment of the stars, and of course, see how the rest of the buildings were being burnt. He was dropped back down once both the man and Masami were away from Zeami's now-burnt house, then the boy watched as the older man panicked his gaze from left to right, scanning the area for any more people to evacuate before he'd run to another direction for a finished save. It was only now that Masami realized how loud the women's wailings were, as they could not help but mourn for the loss of their albeit alive, injured children.

"Oya? It's nice being in the surface once in a while," to Masami, the voice felt dangerous, and the presence had dug itself from the ground up. He was a demon—specifically, an oni who took form of a human being, and surely he had the appearance of a prince, as well. A grin stretched from ear to ear and although Masami did not know who he was, he thought: Kidomaru... everyone knew that he was a demon capable of utter destruction and if Masami doesn't leave his spot now, surely, he'll be that oni's meal.

Even if that was the case, and it was the case that Masami understood, he was unable to move from his spot. He gave Kidomaru enough time for his eyes to gaze from the sky down to the orb Masami held. As if he understood what it was, he approached Masami in great speed, almost as if the wind brought him. "Hey, kid, where'd you get that from?" indeed, Masami won't admit that it came from the spirit realm, otherwise he'd drop dead. Instead, his foot backed out, wanting Masami to avoid the demon at all costs.

Slender arms embraced Masami's back, attempting to reach for the orb. "That's mine!" they said, and startled Masami enough for him to fall down, his hand touching the grounds; from that on, he had released a ring of fire, a burning circle, and it immediately engaged from within Masami to the outside world. It was enough to knock Kidomaru and the second entity away, and it gave Masami enough time to raise a hand, calling forth a gigantic hand that swept him off of his feet. From then on, he was finally soaring through the skies; from afar, he then realized that the "second entity" was the rumored Nekomata: two-tailed humanoid cats, and this one was blatantly malevolent.

He held the orb close, I need to find Zeami, he thought despite the countless convictions presented in his mind. As he soared through the night sky, away from the burning earths, Masami's eyes could not help but search for a man he wasn't sure whether is present or not. It definitely won't take long before all of Hosenka burns into crumbs—Hinoki Theater is still standing upright from a distance, and so as Sultry Heights, but it's different in Sakura Alley and in Starlight Parade. People ran away and were as tiny as ants in this distance. Other than the normal bystanders and citizens, magic circles glowed from the staffs and the spells casted by what seemed to be shamans... or monks? Whatever they were, they did not stop their attempt in sealing the demons back in their realm. While Masami was focusing on his senses, a sound snarled and grew nearer each second: "NYAAAAAAAAAAA!"

When a sense could not help but get their attention attracted, they'd instinctively face the source of it. Thus, Masami was quick enough to turn their gaze to the Nekomata who had launched themselves from the ground high up to Masami's distance. "Give me that orb!" they said with energy, reaching out for Masami with their claws erected from their fingers, and they had enough strength to reach for Masami, clawing themselves to the palm which Masami sat on, pulling the platform over. Masami clapped to summon magic circles over his head, keeping him in-place so that he may not fall off of the platform... only to exchange the orb which now fell over, and was caught by one of the Nekomata's hands. "Wowee, thanks! Nyahaha!" they snarled, confusing Masami whether to feel ticked off or to be afraid because he is, in fact, facing a true demon, who is also blatantly annoying. There was still a chance, however, as long as this Nekomata doesn't fall off or drop the orb.

Hopefully, they don't try letting go.

"Well, I'm off to home. Bye~!" right after they said that, Masami felt their fingers release themselves from the gigantic palm, one-by-one, while the Nekomata's opposite hand closely held unto the orb. "Stupid cat...!" shouted Masami, realizing only now that his mask was placed correctly in front of his face, and instead releasing a steaming hot burst of flame that directed itself to the Nekomata's body. When it hit them, they flailed backwards, releasing the orb—the most important thing to Masami as of the moment—and now he has to speed up to catch it. As quickly as needed, he detached himself from the palm when it disappeared into flame, and then into dust, so that he may fall from the sky. Masami stretched his arm out to fall headfirst, the orb touching the tip of his finger, only to get snatched by the tail of a... snake?

Now, both Masami and the orb was held by two individual snakes, or dragons? Unfortunately, the way Masami was constricted wasn't so comfortable, and he was having a hard time breathing in each second that passes while he was in this state. "Ohh... I think I know who you are," the voice said, drawing Masami closer to their presence, "yes, yes. I've been waiting for this moment."

"Ugh... can't breathe... the orb..." even though he was in a bind, Masami kept forcing himself to reach for the orb, in which was now in the hands of another demon. A humanoid demon with long hair and sharp eyes—he was a snake... a dragon? Once in control of eight heads, growing from the ground, each snarling at the surface they have now entered. "Give it to me, I need it..." now, he was slightly begging, even if he was in the state of uneasiness and the inability to breathe properly. His whole body was constricted by a snake's body high up in the sky, and Masami's feet no longer touching the ground—surely, it was such an uncomfortable moment. Although he begged, Orochi's eyes didn't seem convicted to let the boy go. "Don't you know what this orb is?" he asked, and Masami is sure that he will never admit that truly, he did not know what the orb was, apart form the fact that once extracted, will turn into the cure that he needed to send back to Joya. "This orb has the ability to break curses... to turn anyone into God themselves," thus, Orochi faced Masami, leaving no gap to waste. He taunted the boy by raising the orb up in the air while the other hand held the boy's chin up, his sharp nails digging into the flesh underneath his jaw. "You don't seem to know who you are, either? You reek of Minamoto," once again, the unfamiliar name was called and Orochi, who had been giving a taunting glare ever since the start, now seemed to have been angered.

"Damn, what is he? Minamoto's kid?" Kidomaru appeared from below, brushing the back of his neck. "That explains that attack from a while ago, it really was ticking me off." He spread his arms in accordance to his words, glaring right at Masami, the boy who understood that with all his efforts, he didn't know how much his identity mattered. He was just a Joyan performer who left Joya due to "certain circumstances" and although he was close to accomplishing his tasks, he cannot go home that easily. "Why are you so silent? You want this orb, don't you?" once again, he taunted Masami by bringing the orb close to his eyes, forcing him to see how much the orb glowed like the moon—in fact, it was almost as if the orb was the moon itself. Right in time, Tsuchigumo's spikes attacked Orochi, in sync with her words, "I'll take that home with me, too,"

"This spider-woman, get a hold of yourself, got it? We're having a 'formal' discussion here, excuse you," unfortunately, as much as Kidomaru wanted to, he was unable to use magic at this point. Masami's attacked had caused the premature Kidomaru to get his magic sealed, and now he was similar to a normal human unless he goes back to the demon realm to reclaim it. "We don't have to attack the kid," said the rumored "spider-woman" Tsuchigumo, "If you'd rather, since we're the first ones here, we can split the orb." Kidomaru didn't seem to be pleased with the idea, and neither was Orochi whom despite was attacked just now, still held unto the orb. "You mean to 'split' the orb into what, three pieces? No fxxxing way."

"Make it four, please!" Nekomata's clothing was burnt into crisps, but they didn't seem to completely mind their appearance. Nekomata has arrived at their "formal discussion" and came licking her paws. She was too careless to understand anything but "playtime" thus she didn't understand how important it was to keep the orb intact. "Not you. I've always hated cats," Kidomaru could have sent the cat back to hell if he wanted to—rather, if he "could". "I swear, this Minamoto-kid is dead to me once I come back to the demon realm," unfortunately, he was also in no place to attack Masami, who was still constricted by one of Orochi's snakes, and has been keeping his mouth shut ever since Tsuchigumo's appearance. He doesn't seem to consider the spider-woman's proposal, and seemed to focus on something else. "We are not yet sure whether he truly is related to Minamoto," he said, keeping the boy close to him, "not unless this child wills it, the orb comes to no effect. His soul is embedded in, the orb only listens to him."

Yamata no Orochi's words weren't good news to others' ears except the Nekomata who did not take anything seriously. She believed that she had to "win" this "game" and the only way to win it is to grasp the orb, although she understood that she was no way in similar circumstances as the other three, nor did she have power that matched them. Tsuchigumo, on the other hand, understood that she was not allowed to harm the child since the first place while Kidomaru was unable to do anything harmful because of what "that child" caused him. "He's definitely related to that damned Minamoto! Look at that poor kid, he shares a resemble aura with Minamoto!" his energetic character pointed at Masami, who wasn't in the position to do anything. In fact, he was starting to lose consciousness, enough to keep him slightly asleep. Thus, the orb no longer glowed as much as it was from a while ago, and everyone noticed this. "Hey, you're killing him... hey!"

Despite Kidomaru's warning, Orochi didn't seem to stop the tension.

Yamata no Orochi's relationship with Minamoto Reikou was quite keen; rumors say that the "hero" has slain many of demons, and perhaps he have done something to Orochi to cause such wrath. Thus, Orochi understood that Masami had something inside him that even the child himself did not know, and Orochi's values only understood how to rip the boy apart to solve it. Instead, when the winds clashed, the snake that constricted Masami into what he is now had been cut into two?—hundreds?—thousands?—millions of pieces. Masami fell from the sky and Zeami was there to catch him in the perfect moment, so the rest understood that they have to be weary. "Wake up, Masami," he called out, shaking his arms to keep Masami conscious, "we'll get your orb back." When Masami opened his eyes, he was met by a masked Zeami, whose body resembled a child more than a grown man. More Noh masks scattered in a diameter, and Masami could feel the ground shake when Zeami was casting the spell. The boy was tired from the recent bind and had only enough energy to force his eyes to look at certain distances—the demons except Orochi started to move backwards, afraid of what they may become sooner, but Orochi stood there as if he wasn't afraid. "Ah, Zeami," he said, "you really are the bondservant."

Then, all of the masks struck each of Orochi's snakes, including himself. When this spell completed itself, a blue magic circle covered all of Hosenka, then dropped down from the sky. "Once I'm back, I'll definitely... definitely... bring that boy to our realm!" Orochi's last words echoed before he was sent back to the abyss, and Masami could feel the impact of the winds even if he was held safely by Zeami. He had enough energy to gaze at the appearance of the Zeami who was now younger and more... inhumane? With a horn on his head and his hair short enough to reveal the markings on his nape, but he was wearing a mask so Masami was unable to describe even his facial features. All the demons were sent back under Earthland, leaving only what was now the Hosenka whose fire continued to seep through windows and panels. It was only now that Masami understood who Zeami was, and that ever since, they were familiar with each other—even before Masami left Joya.

"That means I have to go back to the realm, too," said Zeami, releasing Masami so that he may stand on his toes. The boy staggered a little but Zeami assisted him enough so that he may not trip, "you can go back to Hinoki Theater alone, right?" Zeami held the orb to Masami, forcing it into his palms, "Sorry for taking long, I won't take too long underground. We'll meet again after you take care of that demon, yeah?" Even his voice was like that of a child's, and he floated in the air likewise. Masami didn't have enough time to thank the spirit and it disappeared before Masami could even completely understand everything. He was left with the orb that glowed at its' finest now that it was being held by Masami. "My mask..." the mask—Momijigari—was no longer placed at the side of Masami's face. Now, he understood that he had to defeat it, and it will be his final task. Masami turned to the direction of where his theater is supposed to be and at the right time, people started to run away from that direction. They were shouting many different names, those which supposedly meant the demon's name, but Masami understood that it was only called the "Momijigari," and that like what Zeami did, he had to exterminate it.

"After this, I can go home," Masami told himself, then ran to the opposite direction of where the people where running from. Not unless he completes this task, the Momijigari will continue its' wrath, and will eventually dissolve into a parade of a thousand demons.
