The first step to becoming a deity is to gain followers, hence why Maneki took this opportunity to hunt cultists down, all-over in Magnolia City. At least, that was what he was told when the cathedral asked him to do so, but they chose the right person – Maneki was merciful enough to accept. While hunting the dark cult down, Maneki thought that it was best to delve into a camouflage that would help him blend in. He wore a black coat that's larger than him, the one used for rainy days, and a trendy metallic cross that's large enough for Maneki to wear properly, so it was just kind of drooping down. "I look great!" he'd say upon checking himself out through the mirror, before heading out of the guild to do the task that was assigned to him. It was a bright sunny day in Magnolia City, and the sunlight would shine down on the Nekomata that wore a black rainy coat in the streets, catching everyone's attention with its' most obvious camouflage ever, and the accessory jingling as it droops down from Maneki's neck. The next step to becoming a known, worshipped deity is to catch their attention using flashes and trends, anyway.

Aly had waiting for this moment, as he read the letter addressed to the guild from Father Jerad. Having already helped claim the South Gate Park and the Bathhouse, he knew it would only be a matter of time before the Fairy Tail mage was sent to help out the church and gain the favour of Kardia Cathedral. It was, without giving it too much gravitas, quite an honour in fact, to be given the opportunity to assist both the guild and the church in such a huge way, especially given there were definitely other, stronger mages in the guild that would be better suited. Perhaps Aly's potential was being tested. Perhaps it wasn't just his.

He was following Maneki through the streets, sticking close but far enough away that no one knew they were together. The Neko was disguising himself as a cultist to help root out the dark cult that was plaguing the church in Magnolia. It didn't take long before he was approached, and Aly would be sure to back him up as their mission truly began. Aly would start the conversation, asking the cult about their motives and who they worshipped. It turned out they weren't actually well funded, or that impressively organised, meaning that Maneki would likely be able to follow up and convince them to simply stop. Perhaps they'd find a new god today. Either way, they would complete their task and the Kardia Cathedral would fall under Fairy Tail's jurisdiction, completing Magnolia City for the guild.

Maneki clapped his hands, as well as to pop his cheeks, when the cultists have arrived to charge Maneki for whatever reason. The Nekomata found this opportunity, so he had held a hand out the moment they have approached a fitting distance, only to have this opportunity taken by someone else! "Oh, it's you...!" he was about to call the elf's name, knowing that they were familiar but... not so familiar; he was in the same guild as Maneki's, that's what he's sure of. Then, they started talking about funds, and about organizations, all sorts of things Maneki couldn't understand too well. Now, Maneki had to take his hood off to see the cultists properly, considering that the hood was blocking Maneki's vision as it drooped; right after their did this, the cultists were in amazement to see his cat ears pop up! "W-What're you people looking at?!"

Looks like Alyssandra had already done most of the talking, and that he left after finishing the job. Maneki watched the elf go, inaudibly begging that he wouldn't leave the cat on that situation. "What, you people have never seen a Nekomata b-before?!" that was the case, actually. These cultists wanted to know more about what this "Nekomata" is, and what they eat and what they drink. They'll be following Maneki from this day on.
