Another task for the doctor. Considering how well he had done for the man, the doctor was happy to employ Mikajia’s aid, but still spoke very little, only telling him exactly what he needed to know and nothing more. This time wouldn’t really be any different than the previous time he had tested out some experimental hexes for the doctor, only that he had done some tinkering with the one hex that hadn’t worked properly, so hopefully it would succeed this time. He had been ushered out the door quickly enough with the papers in hand and left to his own devices.

Mikajia decided not to waste any time and started down the sidewalk, looking around him for a proper test subject. A few moments later he settled on a middle-aged man walking down the sidewalk across the street from him. There was no particular reason he had settled on this man, Mikajia mostly got tired of trying to decide who would be best to use the hex on, before finally saying screw it. He focused intently on the man, making sure to thoroughly visualize him in his head before he spoke the word, “Decrepify”. And unlike last time, it worked perfectly. As soon as he finished the word, he watched as the man’s legs gave out beneath him. The doctor would be happy to know there were no complications this time.

With the first hex successful, he now just needed to find his next target for the second. Mikajia figured it would probably be best to walk for a while before picking someone else, considering there was a crowd developing around the man he had just hexed, trying to help him and figure out what happened. He walked for roughly ten minutes, after which he settled on the next target, another man but this one was in probably his late twenties. He was roughly one hundred feet ahead of him on the same sidewalk and walking towards Mikajia.

He made sure to take in the man’s entire appearance, insuring to completely visualize him before saying the word, “Magna”. This hex was designed to completely steal the strength from a person’s body, rendering them weak and feeble. However, it didn’t quite go as expected. Mikajia became a bit concerned when at first he didn’t see any reaction out of the man; quickly growing when he started to feel something seeping into his own body, feeling like every inch of him was surging with energy.

He stopped walking and started staring down at his own body. It felt amazing, like every muscle in his body was overflowing with adrenaline. Clearly the doc’s hex didn’t quite work as expected. However, he figured the man wouldn’t be as upset with this outcome. Plenty of potential. So with that, he folded the papers up and turned around, heading back to the doctor’s business. The man seemed very intrigued by what Mikajia told him regarding the odd effects of the second hex. Even more so when they both realized more than an hour had passed and yet he was still feeling the effects of the magic.

With the job done, and the doctor’s curiosity both sated and piqued once more, Mikajia took his pay and headed out the doors.
