As she thought whilst she played the fool, Weirdlock sprung upon her bait idiotically and went full in with gusto about how this proved that Yomu was behind this activity. Only a child or someone with brain damage would buy such a case and this upset Jolyne profusely, the Lich was appalled that the Detective would try to deceive such a person in the first place. She was far more offended by that then being perceived as dumb, though that too irked her to no end. Knowing what she did it was difficult for her to operate in her normal acting, but years of experience allowed her to not show off her actual thoughts and feelings through her body motions, face and the rest. The detective desired her to drug the boss for a confession, which involved sneaking into the base and poisoning his tea, while dealing with his underlings. The Lich was less than excited with this prospect but noted the rage inside of her that was building to a boiling point did need an outlet and this was a good opportunity for such a thing. It was time to buck this corrupt system and transform the land into a beautiful butterfly rather than let it continue to rot as this dying caterpillar but first she would need to be a puppet for the law a little longer. While she did not delight in the idea of poisoning someone if they did not deserve it, she was certain that the boss of this gang would recover though she could not rule out the possibility of Weirdlock killing the man. It did seem she was being set up to be an assassin after all, but despite that the Lich had no choice but to undertake the quest and hope the Detective slipped up more.

Walking back once more the following day to the Gambling Den the woman would be given ample time alone with her thoughts over the case at hand. While she had most of it figured out she was uncertain of how to act upon her knowledge of the Detective's involvement of crime and blame shifting, it was important to her that his schemes were set to rest and the area free of his influence. It was not a good thing to have such a vile and idiotic individual in such a position showcasing even further that the King's justice was some false and rotten charade of a thing. While it was expected to have crime such as that peddled by the Black Dragons, the activities Weirdlock got up to were above and beyond her level of ignoring. Jolyne Atreides would not abide evil trying to masquerade as good in this world and she would drag it kicking and screaming into the light if the need arose. For now however the Plant Mage would focus on the task at hand, at least the boss was predictable enough to give them the avenue of poisoning their tea. While Jolyne was certain it would be difficult she did like her chances of success in the endeavor though she was uncertain of what to expect after and wondered if she should just slip out of the building completely afterwards. Entering the den she would scan the Den and ensure nothing was amiss before blending into the group. While a few hours passed with entertainment provided along with many members striking up conversation the opportunity arose a bit after midday. As the call for tea was made Jolyne sprung to her feet and demanded a chance to deliver the tea to increase her worth in the guild.

Taking the tray into her hand Jolyne was a bit distressed at the fact that the signal had not yet been sent by Weirdlock despite the copious amount of time allotted to him. This indicated to her that she might just in fact being set up to assassinate someone to remove them from the Detective's way, a fact that made the Lich despise this horrid affair all the more. Compounding onto the complexity of the issue Yomu would block her path with his immense bulk, the man was now insisting he deliver the tea. While he had not seen her add the poison to it, no doubt after his boss suddenly passed out she would take the blame for this. It became a sticky situation far quicker than she would like, adding upon this she had to wait for Weirdlock to arrive or her to be found out. Whichever happened first and at this point it seemed to add up to her being discovered before the corrupt detective would make his way in, if he ever planned to. With Yomu taking the tea to the Black Dragons boss with whatever the man had given her to put into the tea Jolyne Atreides knew it was only a matter of time before she was uncovered to be the culprit behind the act. If she delivered it herself there would be a sliver of deniability and would at least delay their accusations from becoming violent but as it was she would have to expect a fight soon. Luckily she had donned her armor suit that day, and luckier still she saw the detective finally slip into the building and disappear after she had returned to the main room. At the very least it seemed like she may be able to make her way outside without hassle yet.

Screams rang out and soon Jolyne Atreides was made quite aware to the fact that she was not going to be able to slip out unnoticed, the voice belonged to Yomu and he spoke about her killing the boss. It was an assassination set up as she had thought, no doubt Weirdlock would concoct some fashion of lie for her to eat about how he had not done such a thing but it was far too obvious for the Lich to dismiss from her mind. While she would play dumb if she got out of this situation, first, she would have to elude over fifty members and a drunk Yomu who would no doubt arrive to the main room if she engaged in any sort of a fight with the other people around her. Luckily there were only four men between her and the exit. "The boooosss, the boss is dead guys, I am super serial. This is the wooorst" the lisp would ring out in a loud brovado announcing her time to leave the stage, though four players were in her way. It would be a challenge but the Lich stepped up to the plate with a hand motion from her left arm that swept upwards and knocked two of the men out of the fight immediately as the other two closed in with three more closing the gap behind her. The doors were only ten meters away from her, but with her armor on she could not outrun any of the unarmored men there. Instead she would have to methodically make her way to the exit before Yomu arrived or before they overwhelmed her with their vastly superior numbers. Either case would spell a quick game over for Jolyne and she did not desire to waste time reforming her avatar now.

It was naught but a single blow that was required from her body to render a man low thanks to her armor, still in the time it took her to subdue the two in front of her the three closest others caught up to her. More were on the way so she donkey kicked the first man and used the force to twist her away from her objective but also from the crowd. Sprinting her fastest she barreled through the double doors busting them open as she spilled out onto the street pursued by a handful of gang members hot for her lack of blood. As she ran and lost her trackers Jolyne Atreides began to wonder just what excuse the Detective would concoct for her to consume in ignorance, it riled her up a bit as she made her way back to her office. So upset was she that she did not even check to see if she could be trailed, though all of them had luckily already lost the Lich. Of course as she arrived to the office she was fed a bed of lies about how Weirdlock had somehow saw Yumo kill the boss instead of it being the poison he had given her. Still keeping up her act the Detective stated that he would keep in touch as he planned out their next move, something that was not surprising to Jolyne as he was probably flying by the seat of his pants. He was probably plotting out his next move to take out the rest of the gang while killing what remained of the White Stars, regardless Jolyne Atreides would collect her pay and then the Lich would leave to go home for the night. Despite not sleeping she certainly needed a break after this day.
