Personally, he felt you were basically asking for trouble if you attempted something like that. And then they actually acted surprised when things started happening; ghosts and ghouls making the catacombs their homes, wreaking general havoc and causing chaos. It was beyond ludicrous in his opinion. But he wouldn’t argue with taking the job, it was easy money after all. But more to the point, he didn’t really have much else to do.
The letter he received said the creatures causing chaos were slightly different then the ones he had dealt with in the previous catacombs, though. They weren’t exactly sure what the apparitions were; be they ghost, ghoul, or any other number of sinister creatures. All they knew was that these beasts were fairly strong and durable. Any attempt they’ve made so far has failed utterly to rid them of these beasts. Not even holy water was working. He laughed thoroughly at that statement. Clearly these fools were under the deluded impression that their books and scrolls passed down through the generations were the be-all-end-all for these matters.
