Raquin Storvarg
Any body of water was always coming to her. It was some calling. Raquin stood on top of that lighthouse with the round balcony. It was old but well maintained by the lighthouse keeper. It was made of metal and sturdy. She leaned against the ruling staring at the body of water before her. A few weeks ago, Nessie was out cold and nearly dead. Ludwig was able to help her escape. Ever since, he has kept a iron fist on her to keep her safe. She hated the newly placed restrictions, but what could she do? He was her mentor after all. Concord yawned and laid his head down falling into a afternoon nap. Usually, she would be worried about being caught but barely anyone comes up here. The lighthouse keeper took pity on her and her story about her family. He let her up here sometimes to get soem fresh air and take in the view.

This time Nessie was with them. She was officially recruited back into their party like old times. Nessie was in a human form to blend in with the crowd as a pleasing young woman with blue and green eyes with a elegant dress on. It was one of her forms she loved to take on the most. She had years of practice of luring men and blending in with human dominate society. She sat on top of crate looking through Raquin's notes taken on her journey around Fiore and notes about the wildlife. "My dear, you sure have a keen eye for rare species and documentation. I have seen this plant once before could only be found on a certain island, but now it must of spread" she commented. Raquin stood up straight and let out a huff.

"Humans. They think its pretty but them come to find out its an invasive species. Now its considered a weed in some parts. Thrives in tropical and warm climates... she added. The redhead stared at the water thinking about her grandfather in Baska right now.

It had been some time since Manzo had visited the hargeon lighthouse. It used to be one of his favorite places. But duty always took him away from his beloved light house. But today, he would visit his little home away from home. Hopefully it was just as he remembered it. It was generally a well taken care of place so it should be perfectly pristine. Given it was one of the cities landmarks. Other than his guild hall, which was fun. Feeling as though you lived in an attraction. What a beautiful thought. Though the thought of finally getting to the light house was far more prevalent in his mind.

As he walked upon the grounds he took a deep breath and his mind was filled with memories of younger days. It was a beautiful thing, to be lost in the river of time, just lazing around in it.

Concord snoozed in the warm sunlight covering his reptilian skin in heat. Nessie sat beside him, continuing to examine Raquin's notes. She has aquianted with another hunter, but of a different kind. She couldn't quite explain. Ludwig never told her what kind of hunter he was. The redhead continued to think about the job that rested on her shoulder as her family's only successor. Her grandfather deemed her one of a kind, but was only a face to her. Nessie took more the family role as of recently. She hated how her family only thought of her as a tool, a weapon. Nothing more, but she didn't like how something just wiped them out like yesterday's trash.

Whatever that creature was, nothing dared say its name or even speak of it. It was all "hush hush". Ludwig was too freaked out to answer her. Nessie could only explain that it was a "creature of hate". Nessie? Do you think that creature that killed my parents and village is some spirit?" Nessie's warm eyes turned ice cold in a flash. Quickly, she closed the book with a loud noise and placed it in her lap. "I wish I could answer that, child. Though, even a being as old as me has no answer. No one can explain. I don't even know the name, but I know of the description by what you have explained to me the other day. I have only seen it once back in the old lands. It was white as the snow and cold as the country of Iceberg. It was only for a split second before it was gone" she explained. Raquin huffed in frustration. Her boots clopped on the metal floor beneath them, giving an echo to anyone below. "That's more than anyone has ever dared to give me. Thanks, Nessie. What would I do without you? Oh, have you heard of a type of hunter called a witcher?" she asked.

Nessie placed the book back into it's slot and closed the messanger bag. She had to think about this for a while, but came with an answer eventually. "A witcher is a type of hunter that is rare. They know just as must as your family, but don't associate to any affinite that I know of. I do know some of them have mutations much like you. Unlike a witcher, you're classified as a Conservation Hunter due to your lack in strength and having an affinity with the hunter's association or your family at the very least. I don't even know if your are
registered so you could qualify for a witcher, but personally, you're really not."
Raquin was only asking for a definition not a classification. "I was more asking for a definition rather than a classification of what I am. I am just a simple hunter that protects rare creatures" she added. Concord yawned and got up hearing noises beneath him.

Upon taking in the smells, the man dressed in all black with yellow eyes began to make his way up the stairs of the light house. Taking a cigar out of his pocket and putting it to his lips, lightning it with a snap of his fingers. There was one thing that never changed no matter how many times his face would change. He would never lose the love of the taste that a cigar gave him. Such things were never going to be lost on him, hopefully that would be true. Mainly because he enjoyed it and never truly wanted to tire of it.

But not the real point, he made his way up the steps, his raven black hair covering half of his face, so you could only truly make out the one eye. This eye was his main eye, it was one with the stronger magic in it. The left eye with the weaker magic. No real reason for such. Just how the magic manifested itself.

Concord started sniffing smoke. It was not the smoking he would think of danger, but the kind someone smoked from. His long tail stood up in the air as she sniffed the area for the source. Raquin and Nessie were too busy talking about new information and questions about anything that came to their minds. They had been away for a good several years and a ton to catch up on. It comforted Raquin a lot to have her here now. Concord was already out of sight. He opened the hatch and descened down the stairs. He was too focused on the smell to notice where he was going.

He eventually found the source. His instincts didn't tell him danger, but curious. He could smell the smoke but a slight familair scent. The warin knew he was spotted anyways and sat there with a tilted head. Raquin finally noticed Concord was gone already. "For the love of Odin and everything holy..." she sighed in her native language. She made a whistle in a high pitch noise calling for Concord. "Concord get your ass up here now! I will cut back on your salmon if you don't obey" she yelled, agitated. Salmon were his favorite treats of all time. There were abudant back home.

The young dragon made his way up to the top of the light house. His yellow right eye shifted to a purple hue with rings centering his pupil in a bulls eye formation. Scanning the area around him for threats, as he usually did. It did not ping anything so he made his way to the top. Minding his own business and paying no attention to the two women that were also present. Not at all trying to impose on someone else's good time. His left eye shifted to red with three symbols circling the pupil. This combination made up the all seeing eye combo he was known for.

It was something that just happened to him from time to time. He became so comfortable that his eye magic just turned itself on. Collecting all the information of where he was, who was around, and cataloging it for later use.

He took a drag from his cigar and exhaled smoke through his nostrils.

"Concord? Oh for fuck sake, Nessie what am I going to do with that damn warin?" She sighed sitting down on the crate, burying her head into her hands. Nessie sighed. She noticed another person besides themselves on the lighthouse top, but didn't say anything. Concord came up slowly. The creature must of mistake someone else for shadows. Instead, Concord bothered the person smoking the cigar. Raquin turned around agitated and pointed to him then to the spot next to her quietly. Concord never disobeyed her at all. Which made her upset a little. He was a well trained killing machine that had the ability to reason like a human being.

"Raquin, I think he's not going to come be command. He's too memorized by that man over there" commented Nessie. She moved her aqua hair back and smiled at Concord. Raquin let him be since she didn't have the heart to drag him away like a dog. He wasn't a dog. Though, he did act like one sometimes. Concord whined a little wanting to get his attention.

Little did any of them know, his eyes allowed him 360 degree vision. He could see and hear everything around him. He took his cigar from his mouth and flicked it off the top of the light house. "Forgive me reptilian, but I wish to just take in the scenery at the moment. Though it seems like your master wants you." He said as he closed his eyes and took in another deep breath , truly soaking in the salt on the air.

It was a smothering feeling, but it was one that he loved. Wanting to just float about the river of memories in peace at this moment. Recharge his batteries almost. It was something he had truly missed. Which was odd for him because he didn't have any real sentimental attachments to anything really. Perhaps it was some personal growth he was going through, he would allow it for now.

Concord sighed. He stayed right where he was waiting for attention. The Warin was not moving an inch. Raquin was too busy remnising on her own problems. Nessie picked up Raquin by the waist to take her to the railing again. The sea air really did calm her down a bit. She was getting too riled up about old thoughts. "Seriously, why are you acting weird?" Nessie was very confused as to why Raquin would get riled up about Concord not listening. The hunter just stood there frozen as a little broken in spirit by Concord, but there was a lot more on her mind like that demon creature thing and what to do next to find answers. A long, heavy sigh came from her lips.

She caved in and just slumped on the railing looking at the ocean. "I don't know? Maybe its because I have a lot on my mind, Nessie" she spoke. She looked back and stared at Concord who was STILL there.

"Concord, that's enough. Go back to Quin." He said in a commanding tone. He hadn't wished to reveal his identity as of yet, but he could feel that Quin was feeling down in the dumps due to the fact that he refused to listen to her. Which was not acceptable for him.

He turned around and gazed into the eyes of the reptilian, his magic eyes turning back into his piercing yellow ones. He'd be sure to recognize him, due to his eyes and do what it is that he said. His eyes were something that not many would be able to forget.

Then he turned his attention over to Quin. "Oh Quin, what on earth is going on in your head now." He said softly as he began to walk over to where she was located. Hopefully seeing him again would revive her spirits.

Concord felt a little uncomfortable and made his way over to Raquin. She was already clouded with thoughts about that creature and her family. Regardless of how she felt about them, that creature always haunted her mind. Though, she never liked talking about it. Concord made some chattering noises as if he was trying to tell her something. "Raquin, I think its him. That guy that tried to arrest you for saving Nessie. His scent is familiar." Raquin sighed and shrugged at Concord.

Petting him a little, she scratched his bony structure. The redhead looked back at the man walked towards her. "How do you know my name?"

Of course with the letting the cat out of the bag she had questions for him. But how would he go about informing her of just who he was. Maybe it would just be easier to show her. He walked toward her, placing a finger upon her mind. His eyes going purple with a bulls eye pattern.

Showing her the history of the two. The arrest, the hunt of the silver hand. Hopefully now it would begin to make sense to her. Because it was indeed the best way to go about showing her exactly who he was.

The only thing he did not show her, was that he had changed magic due to the fact of the lacrima being in his chest now. Though if he had done so, it would probably intrigue her, but that was not a bit of info he was trying to have known in the world just yet.

He placed a finger on her forehead, revealing his identity. It was all clear to her now. She cracked a smile. "Manzo, I see. You have changed a whole lot since we last met" she commented. His eyes were different and his hair as well. She had forgotten how long since they last seen each other. Probably since earlier this year at the least? Concord was on the nose about who it was. That's probably the reason why he didn't listen to her. Nessie on the other hand, was wary of the stranger, given she was not told about this man before hand. She had only her bits and pieces about him, but never was fully given the details.

Nessie approached the two of them. Her teal eye gazing with caution, but not hostile. "Before we go on, Raquin how do you know him? You sure it's the right guy?" Raquin nodded without a word. Nessie waited for a verbal answer from her then eyed Manzo. He seemed different from the rest of the human folk, much like Raquin herself. Her old yet young eyes gazed shifted to Raquin once more. "We've met a few times before hand. Don't worry, you can trust him" she replied. Nessie knew it was one thing with Concord, but it was another being around Raquin, her only think connected to family.

Manzo also flashed a smile at her in response to her own. Which was nice, she had a magic smile, in his opinion. One that just made you want to smile as well. Such moments should not be taken for granted.
His smile shifted to the woman who accompanied her. Of course his true sight saw through her disguise. Such camouflage was very impressive.

"That little trick is pretty impressive. So that's how you've eluded capture by hunters for so long." He said before pulling another cigar out of his pocket.

He would shed his coat and let it hang over his shoulders, much like a cape. Revealing his upper body, one full of scars, specifically one going straight down the middle of his chest. Of course he had a shirt on under neath, but it was a simple sleeveless and low cut one. So his guild mark and scars were on full display.

"Been a long time Quin, too long." He said with a smirk as he put the cigar to his lips, lighting it with a snap of his fingers as he is known to do. Of course she knew him to always be smoking something or other.

Nessie nodded. Camoflauge was the only way to escape. Reason why so many spirit and rare creatures have been able to escape a captured fate. it was the ability to adapt and evolve within habits. "Yes, the appearance can change at will too. Each look is never the same as the last. There is a reason why I am considered a spirit" she spoke. She was an impressive creature, reason why Raquin was so protective of her. Many hunter have tried to capture the beast, but none cease to finish the task.

Raquin rarely ever smiled nowadays, only when she was around Concord. Laughs were never heard from her lips. Her smile faded into her normal look of blankness. She saw him smoke once again. She would say something, but it was best to let people be. Afterall, thats how he wanted to be treated in her opinion. "I would agree. Its nice to talk to someone other than rare creatures. Right Concord?" The warin stuck out his tongue a little and gabbered in gibbers nonsense. "I thought no one was allowed up here besides me. Surprising. Anyways, what have you been up to? From what I see, you have been busy" she asked.
