Tempris

It was a beautiful day outside. Birds were singing. Flowers were blooming. A woman as screaming for help bounding in a thick coating a rope as she was dragged along the ground by the young Herald of Rapture. Tempris Ashflare was said girl a regular now outside the church. While no one has ever saw her enter the building, they knew her as an extremely devotee who had been serving as one of the key members in the battle for the throne. Under Brunhild's banner, Tempris has worked hard cleansing the land of those corrupted by heretical influences. This woman was just another piece for her record. Tempris found the woman cursing Illumin's name and sought to bring her to the church. After a tussle, Tempris had the woman bounded and was now bringing her to the church for judgement. Tempris wore a white veil with a gold cloth over her forehead. She had on a simple white dress with symbol of Illumin. on her chest. She wore brown boots with white stockings and had a golden hook on her back to carry her sword. Her plague mask hanged around her neck and she had all her equipment equipped.

The sun shone with a blinding radiance that was unusually unmatched today as Seika stepped foot into the Boscosi town that Brunhild the Divine had deemed as her headquarters. The devout woman had no doubt deemed it necessary to purge the city of it's various heretical factions and while to Seika the idea that Illumin was the one true divine was borderline heretical itself, he could appreciate the goal to purge those who would spit on the glory of the sun itself. With this mindset, he had left Hildegard behind, the young Lord was too focused on protecting those close to her. It was equally as admirable as it was a waste of his time and efforts. He wasn't a gardener, nor was he a scout, nor a diplomat. He was a devout warrior of Sol. A man blessed with the light and flame of the Sun itself. His time was not to be wasted with such trifles as keeping caravans of supplies going so that heretics could breed more heretics. With a sigh and a wave of his hand, he washed away his anger with a small gout of flame that arced out behind him.

With this release, his ears picked up the sound of struggle. An almost comical sight met him as he watched a small girl drag along a woman who was clearly kicking and screaming in anger and desperation. Clearly the woman had done something wrong in the churches eye as the small child was dragging her in the direction of the offending building. He had half a mind to save the girl the trouble and the trip by setting the woman on fire, but stayed his hand because that would be stealing a kill, and he wasn't one to do that sort of thing.

Tempris reached the stairs with the woman full blown crying now. It was too late though as a crowd of priest surround the woman with one taking the rope. The priest thanked the girl for her work before whispering something in her ear. Tempris's eyes darted to the left, loosing color in her face after seeing a stranger. The girl fumbled through her words in attempt to protest, but the priest was already behind her and pushing her towards him. Tempris lowered her head and continued to man who was standing before. She puffed out her cheeks once she reached the man while keeping her head down. She did not want to do this, but she had no choice. The representative wanted this so it was what she had to do.

Tempris exhaled and looked up at the man doing her best to smile.
"Greetings Mister~ I was told that you recently joined us. Thank you for your... service." She clasped her though they trembled with irritation, "Let us go out and spread the word of the divine... together." She closed her eyes to focus more energy on keeping up her smile. The last thing she needed was to give the man the impression she did not want to be here.

His show continued on as the woman was once again dragged all the way to the foot of the church. A small frown crossed his face as he looked at the heretical building laid out in front of him. Another rogue twitch crossed his frame as he just barely contained himself from essentially setting the entire stone building on fire and burning it straight to the foundation. His attention was pulled from his minor mental raging as a priest approached the small child, his attention pulled to the design of the church laid across his lapels as well as the girls dress. Leaning down, the priest seemed to whisper a few lines to the girl that had her stiffen and turn in his direction, no doubt he had alerted her to his appearance and his willingness to aid the church in their crusade in Bosco. He continued to keep his ire in check as the young girl turned towards him and actually approached him. She clearly didn't want to actually interact with him, and honestly the feeling was mutual. He had no idea with the child could bring to the table in terms of conversation, but at least she seemed devout enough to her own cause to drag a grown woman down the street kicking and screaming, that earned at least a few points in his book. Those points were almost immediately lost however as she opened her mouth and honeyed words of cooperation fell out of them. This was going to be a long day indeed. Recomposing himself with a long inhale, Seika would respond in kind while turning his head in a direction away from the heretical church, "Mmm yes, lets go spread the glorious word. Great Sol could always use more believers".

Tempris

Tempris would see the man was not too impressed with her. Breaking her smile prepare to sigh herself but the man would say something most interest... if not possibly heretical.
"Great Soul... like a spirit? What is this soul you speak of?"
Tempris put her finger over her lips before stepping back. It did not seem that this man was right in the head. Why would Brunhild, the divine herself, want to worship anything other than Illumin. She wanted to speak out against the man... no, send him to Illumin herself on a baptism of fire... but they were too close to the church. Also, the priest would get upset if she took out any possible assistance. They weren't as popular as the beast master after all.

"Nevermind... lets just go find heretics or something easy. You don't look like you are from here anyway. I could show you there many places in Bosco." Then the man could report her success and she would be free from ever having to babysit some werido ever again. It was the perfect plan.
"Yes.. lets go uhhh... I suppose I should introduce myself Mister~. I'm Tempris." She would wait for the man to give his name before walking off.

The muscles of his left arm flexed almost instinctively, a sudden increase in heat and pressure the only real sign of magical pressure emanating from the young man from the spike of anger that appeared at her words. He couldn't quite tell what had prompted such an involuntary response from himself. Was it the words themselves, or the mocking inquisitive tone in which she deliver them. In either case he was almost tempted to sear her heretical mongrel tongue to the top of her insufferable mouth if only to keep her from spouting such nonsense in the future. The only thing that stilled his hand and likely saved his life was the understanding that looks could be deceiving and ones as small as herself were not helpless. No, if anything the sight earlier was proof that this young one was far more dangerous than her rather unimpressive and unassuming form made it out to be. If anything, it made her the perfect test subject for his task of converting heathens such as herself from the heretical grasp of Illumin to the wonderous grasp of Sol. All should bask in its wonderful gaze.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, his voice seemed to not change or waver in the slightest, once again giving no tell that he had even been tweaked at her comment aside from the involuntary action that had taken place just a few seconds earlier. "Sol is no spirit. Sol is the one true deity, one which all gods take reverence of, including that imposter posing as a God Illumin. But I understand if one such as yourself does not know the truth, lies are always paved with a kernel of truth". He would acknowledge the fact that she had given him her name with a small nod before responding in kind, "Seika. His impassioned words would come as he turned in the direction she began to point to. Maybe he could exact his anger out on these 'heretics' or he could enlighten them. Either way they would be meeting Sol just a bit earlier than his deity had planned.

Tempris

The blaspheme this man spoke. Tempris opened her eyes if only to ensure she was not in a nightmare. In front of the church, the man was legit insulting their lord and savior by calling him an imposter. It was so ridiculous. Like even the cultist had enough brains to simmer down around her. Still she just smiled. She could not piss off the priest now. She worked too hard on building trust despite their concerns about her being slightly younger than the others and her desire not to enter the church. Still, she could not let the man get away with it. So she comprise.

One quick flick of her foot into the man's shin, a parting shot, flagged the start of their little tour. "Seika... Watch thy tongue cretin. I cant do my job, if you don't come back." Tempris then giggled and walked off. She did not kick him too hard, she hoped but she did hoped it hurt... a lot. The pain would remind him of his place in this world. Once they were in the streets, Tempris started explaining the area.

"So most of the heretics seem to hid in groups in plan site. Normally with 2 large bulky people standing in front of a building. This area was suppose to have a smaller group of them... so maybe it wont be so.... obvious to fine."

With his attention away from her, the little gremlins sly shot at him landed about as true as one of her short stature could get away with. A stinging pain lanced up his leg from the impact as he grimaced and looked down at the cherubic youngster with a hint of annoyance and a faint look for anger. Thankfully likely for himself however, he kept said emotion in check as he proceeded after the girl instead of setting her entire insufferable persona on fire. Now would not be the time to test his patience, ones such as her merely were incapable of understanding the truth, that is all. In due time he would be able to show her the truth. The true light that shone lovingly over all. With an exhale, he released his tension and fell into step behind the young woman, his lips sealed for now unless the cherubic demon decided to pipe up once more about her ridiculous nonsense. Instead he was treated to a brief description of what the church expected of them. Apparently the heretics, well, the other heretics, had begun to hide themselves amongst the crowds of normal civilians. Using the common mass as a disguise to ensure that they would not be caught and punished for their crimes against Sol. This meant that they would likely have to root the non-believers out through a small inquisition.

"If you know what to look for, why not burn out their hideouts instead of bothering with the common mass. Even we of the Sect know that the best way to root out a heretic is to burn them out. Surely you lot know how to do that". His words flowed from his mouth like honeyed vinegar, with a sound that would have been matched with a sneer if his face ever made such an expression. Instead his face remained as impassive as ever as his eyes scanned the crowds around them for any signs of such falsehoods. Maybe he would get lucky and they would oust themselves for him.

"Because. We are here to bring salvation, purge sin from the world, and rally support for the Divine." Tempris turned to man and sneer, "Barbaric raiding and hurting followers of Brunhild would not further raise support. It would only make people hate us... despite how nice we are to send them to Illumin." Clearly the man lacked a strategic mind... probably due to brain rot of worshiping some random entity that didn't exist. She giggled as her first point was finished, feeling superior to the man. However, that was really just a throwaway answer the real reason was much simpler.

"But I did try that before... and Bruhild's representatives expressed their displeasure in such tactics. Its why I did not strike you down where you stood now. We are out numbered by the Beast Master's forces. So we need all the help we can get when it comes to gaining support." Tempris turned away from the man and started walking forward. Despite all of this, they actually did not need such tactic. Tempris reached into her pocket and pulled at paper which had the target locations of the cultist marked. "But follow me... I'm sure we can find some places where you can let loose your savagery." She grinned at the idea of watching the man run into a building and it turning into a inferno. It would be so... beautiful.

Tempris would lead the man into a much less crowded location with a single small building in the middle of 2 very wide roads. "There... If you want to slash and burn. Show me the worth in such careless actions."

He listened to the girls paltry reasons and scoffed at the audacity. Were those all not the same objective in the end. All that mattered was worshipping Sol. All other actions were by extension a way to do such a thing. "These barbaric followers should be glad to be sent to Sol. That is the only true way to worship if one is not a true follower. All others do not deserve to bask in the wonderous holy light It provides us. Their worthless opinions of us are just as they sound. Mindless babbling does not all of a sudden gain worth just because someone claims to be part of the 'Divine', it just means that one was simply convinced that someone was far more grand than their station actually was. In the end, titles and accolades are meaningless tools that create false idols and nonbelievers. And all of those only have one true fate in the end. They must be purged in Sol's holy flames".

With his tirade finished he would proceed into the building while grasping his right hand. A quiet scripture was uttered from beneath his lips as his hand began to glow viciously with a holy fervor, a blindingly bright red magic seal encircling the entire limb. His vocalizations began to grow in volume as shouts of alarm began to emanate from the building just before his right arm clenched before suddenly being flung towards the left, immolating an entire hallway and causing that entire side of the building to buckle and explode violently from the sudden heat and pressure of the flames released from his magic seal. The fires burning so brightly that they almost turned white from the heat and power flowing through them. If one could hear him over the sounds of the fire and the explosions, they could hear him quoting the Hymn of Ash, the somber tale of those who had strayed to close to a false flame and had been essentially burned to ash for their foolishness. Only Sol's warm embrace could truly save a soul. Only Sol would not burn a believer. All other fires were merely paltry falsehoods that claimed such glory. And thus they would be smothered by a true flame.

Seika would be in the building for almost an hour, methodically executing every person he saw. There would not be a single soul that escaped from the building, not from lack of trying. When he was finally finished, he would only step through the burning doorway with his left hand raised up to his heart. He would utter a small prayer for the poor souls he had to exercise. It was never easy to cleanse those who weren't aware of their own filth, but one had a duty to fulfil, and he if was anything, he was dutiful.

Tempris

Tempris wasn't sure what to think about this man. These words, enthusiasm, and love of fire were all a warped understanding of everything she personally loved. The only problem was the target. This Sol was clearly a heretical existence but she would be damned if this man did not put on a great show for the god. Tempris could only grin at the thought. If this man was on her side, just maybe her own path would be that much easier and filled with love. This love, warmth, though in name was wrong, in spirit was Illumin. With that she decided to be merciful. At least, as long as the man was useful.
"I think you confused who the barbarians are Seika." Still, was his flames beautiful.

It was as she envisioned. The man went into the building. Then a radiating heat beamed from its the establishment as the souls welcomed their salvations. The smoke and smog leading those saved to a better world free of sin and strife. Tempris could feel her face growing a smile as she fought the urge to laugh at the marvel that was before her. Yes, this was what she wanted. This was that lust she dreamed of when she envisioned the world saved. When the man came out, she found herself gleefully smiling.
"So, this is the power of this Sol... If only your mouth was as loving as the flames which bath your path... Either way, its time to go to the next spot so you can let loose"
