The sun shined down on Ariael while the wind tickled his skin. His eyes slowly scanned over Era City as he walked with his hands in his pocket. It was one of the first cities he had visited in Fiore that reminded him of his homeland. Here and there Ariael could see various people walking around with swords and shields. He knew of there kind. Apparently they had been growing stronger in numbers by the day. "So those are what the Rune Knights look like. Look pretty weak to me." muttered Ariael, hoping that he would have encountered someone strong.

His destination was a building dedicated to giving out missions. Examining the maps they had placed around the city, Ariael would find himself walking towards the mission stronghold. It didn't take long for him to come across it due to it being only a minute or so away. Walking through the doors, it was filled to the brim with people of all natures. He could even see a person that resembled a lizard back in the corner. Beginning to wonder what exactly he had walked into, Ariael would debate on leaving. Just as he turned around a hand would grasp his shoulder.

"You're late red eyes. Didn't I tell ya to arrive in the morning." laughed a very large man adorned in a magnificent armor. Usually Ariael would react by pushing a palm in the man's chest, but he felt it was better he didn't cause a ruckus in Era. He didn't want to get thrown in a dungeon his first day in. Turning his head towards the man and brushing his hand off of him, Ariael would say "It seems like I'm not late at all. What is the mission?"

Everyone in the stronghold would come to face the two as the man walked to the front of the building.

"As we Rune Knights grow stronger in numbers so do the gangs that inhabit Era. One of those gangs in particular are growing stronger than we could have imagined. Us Rune Knights need you brave citizens help to start a raid on this gang. We'll capture all of them and place them into the dungeon together, but under no circumstances will we kill any of them as we begin the raid." said the Rune Knight. Mummers could be heard coming from the many people in the stronghold. To Ariael the mission sounded easy enough. Hell, with all the people in the building he wouldn't probably have to lift a finger.

"Follow me and get ready for battle!" shouted the Rune Knight. Ariael would watch as the man left the building with about twenty other people following behind him. Placing his hands back into his pockets, Ariael would tag along. The group had started a jog and Ariael could tell they were east, far from where he had entered Era. He wondered how strong this supposed gang was suppose to be. Maybe he would encounter the leader, but would the man even be able to put up a fight?

Ariael's body would tense up at the thought. Not because he was afraid or nervous, no. It had been long since he had encountered anyone strong. The lust for battle was simply overtaking him. He hadn't felt bloodlust in a long time, but even he could feel it creeping from his feet to his head. Subconsciously he would remove the shield he had on his back and place it over his offhand. Today he would increase his kill-count and take out anyone who dared to stand in his. Today in Era he would make a name for himself.

The sunlight in the sky was slowly disappearing as storm clouds were beginning to roll in. The group had been marching for five minutes and had been notified that they were about to arrive at their destination. While on the way Ariael had took a sword from one of the quest doers and knocked him out. The sword was quite basic, but it was sharp enough for him to use. Now armed with a shield and sword one could mistake him for a Rune Knight. Laughing at the thought, Ariael would seem them arriving at a building in a grove a trees.

Banners hung on top of the buildings windows. The symbol on the banners depicted a solar eclipse. Walking towards the front of the group, he would scan the area to see if anyone was hiding behind the trees. The place was dead silent besides from the occasional chirping of a bird. In the corner of his eye Ariael would see light flash across the sky followed by a large boom. As if on signal would he heard the notch of arrows and see hundreds of arrows fly from on top of the building in their direction.

Bowing down and taking a knee, Ariael would raise his shield above his head in hopes of blocking any arrows that came his way. The sound of fleshed being ripped and metal meeting metal could be heard. They had walked themselves in an ambush. Ariael's red eyes would turn golden and he start a run after the volley of arrows ended. By his side was the Rune Knight and about twelve other people. Arriving about ten feet away from the front door, Ariael would leap into the air and place a kick directly in the middle of the door. The door broke off the hinges allowing him and the others to burst inside.

To his left he would see a sword swing his way. On impulse he would duck and watch it fly over his eyes. Making a arc with his right hand, Ariael would easily slice off the forearm of the one who attempted to harm him. Bringing his body back upright, he would perform a roundhouse kick and throw the person into the wall. Continuing forward, Ariael and the others were like a tornado ripping through the house. Unlike the others who were fighting to apprehend, Ariael was performing killing blows on any who came his way.

It wouldn't be long before they took down the whole gang and he found himself escaping out the backdoor from the massacre he'd caused.
