It had been awhile since Shichiro had done any work for Reiner. From the looks of things, it wasn't going too well for Reiner. It seems he was on the verge of losing this run. Well, Shichiro might have been able to help with that but unfortunately, he was a Kingsguard and his main focus was in the country of Fiore after all. Well even though Reienr was down, he wasn't out yet and Shichiro decided he would just work for him until Reiner himself completely conceded. It was truly a shame as Shichiro believed in his vision of technological advancement. Mainly for the creation and use of weapons and armor anyway. But there was enough of that. Shichiro decided he would take on a job today of guarding the mines of Stella Reiner was in charge of.

Seemed simple enough, all he had to do was fend off brigands and some wild animals but nothing too tedious. With that, Shichiro went to register as a guard and then wait to be assigned to a camp of some kind. As he waited, he was accompanied by his companion Panther Lily, who happened to be resting between his shoulder and the sacrificial shield Shichiro chooses to wear on his back. While he got comfortable there, Shichiro was called over to the main tent, received a map and went back to where he was waiting. Looking over the map, he saw which mining camp he was stationed at and how to get there.

Reading the directions to the mining camp, Shichiro figured it was better for him to just head to his destination immediately than stick around here. With that, Shichiro would begin to head in the direction the map had instructed him to go in order to make it to the mining camp. It took a few hours on foot since it wasn't too far away but eventually he got there. When he made it, there was a little booth with the sign "Registration" on it. Placing his hands into his pockets, Shichiro figured it was a good idea to go there first. When he got there the person asked for the map that he had brought with him in order to check for confirmation on whether he truly belonged to this camp or not.

This surprised Shichiro as he didn't know it doubled as a form of identification. Using his right hand, he'd present the map as the person behind the counter looked it up and down. After a while, they had stamped it before handing it back to SHichiro and sent it off on duty. He was to patrol the mines inside and out every thirty minutes or so while the miners did their work. He was to make a report every hour as well. Letting out a sigh, he'd place his hand into his pockets once more before carrying on with his task. Man, he'd hope something fun would happen so he could kill some time or something. He's done enough report work for a lifetime.

It feels like he's done enough paperwork and reports enough for one lifetime being a part of the Rune Knights and now he was asked to do this again while volunteering in another country. Well, orders were orders and that's what he intended to do. Placing his hands into his pockets once more, Shichiro had begun to patrol the perimeter in hopes of finding something remotely dangerous in order for him to beat up. So far a few hours had gone by and nothing. He was actually getting bored. He figured he might skip out on the patrols altogether and just make the reports. It was all verbal anyway so it's not like there was writing to be checked. Eventually the day ended without a hitch and Shichiro was free to return to the main camp. Walking back to the registration booth, Shichiro handed his map identification paper thingy again, receiving another stamp before he left the area.

Walking back out the main camp, it had started to turn dark as he made his way through. Making it back to the main camp, he turned in his map and had it looked over. When everything seemed to check out, Shichiro was handed his pay for the day before he went off in order to do something else. The pay wasn't much but it was better than nothing or it could have been worse than this. Either way, he didn't care, he'd scrounge up as much as he could off of this election before he went back to Fiore.
