Animal Control(Sabotaging Hilde) Empty Fri Jul 23, 2021 7:15 am

Obasi was doing something different today. Instead of building homes and saving lives, he was doing what he liked to do best, which was to cause some havoc. Today’s victims were to be beasts that he was tasked to kill in order to hinder Hilde. That’s why he was out in the middle of nowhere looking for the location of where they’d kept the beast penned up. It was unusual how many different hats he’d been putting on lately. From saving one person to slaying another and soon he was to be a beast slayer. It filled him with a weird emotion he couldn’t quite put his finger on. Oh well, he pushed it out of his mind.  That type of thinking could wait for when he had time to sit and contemplate life’s complexities. All he wanted to do now was get to the fun part. The part he liked best, which was breaking some heads. It was only until recently that’d he’d become what could be described as a battle maniac. The fight to save those homes awakened something in him recently. This need was something he could articulate to himself. It was a need to brutalize and maim and it felt fantastic.

He traveled alongside a small platoon of soldiers. They had been capturing any resistance members they could come across, which had been how Obasi met up with them. They were all on horseback but had a spare mount for the demihuman. So, he gladly accepted their charity and hopped on. They had also heard of a place where Hilde’s animals where being kept, which made tracking it down much easier. The beastmaster was someone that was formidable, so it was imperative that he take out her beasts. He knew nor cared anything about her name and few scant details. He didn’t join this war for the cause anyway, he was here to reap the rewards. There were many to be had for people like him who were willing to work for them. The only thing he needed to do was ensure that he got as much out of this conflict as he could. Besides, at the end of the day it was just a glorified squabble between nobles. He wasn’t a rich man, and he didn’t care about the affairs of aristocrats. He wouldn’;t dare express those opinions to any of his “allies” though.  All they knew was that he was committed to the cause of their heir. It was less “messy” if they thought of him in that way.

Eventually, they parted ways with the knights giving him some last-minute directions. He was told there would no doubt be guards in the area to stop his advances. All he had to do was make sure that they didn’t. He was also told of a path in the area that was less traveled that he could use to sneak through. The light presence of guards would make it easier for him to reach the stronghold. After finally finding the path he was rewarded with an abandoned path, which made reaching the location easy. When he’d arrived at the stronghold he saw that it wasn’t as well guarded as he thought. Now all he had do was infiltrate the old building and take out some animals being held in pens. Guards were lightly sprinkled about that he could kill easily. They were just obstacles to his real targets anyway. The young wizard snuck around the base knocking out whoever got in his way. Finally, he reached the pens with the animals. They were all standard fearsome-looking beasts that he was able to dismember with a few well-placed magical attacks. After killing the animals, he snuck out and went to go report his success.
