This is the first time for Akuma to be in Era, to be in the central area of Fiore, and this will be a new great experience for Akuma. Aku just arrived in Era from Astera, he just finished two quests in Astera, helping the fisherman with a creature that scares fishes away from the area and affecting the economics for the fisherman and almost everyone in that town. The other quest that Akuma took is to help a merchant named Gallard, he was looking for some mercenaries to be hired in order to eliminate one beast called Barrang and take something as a trophy to Gallard for him to be claimed under his name. Akuma took care of that beast and brought back a tooth as a trophy for Gallard and then claimed his rewards and straightly went from the house of Gallard. After that Akuma decided to go to Era to explore a new area somewhere he had never been before, the central area of Fiore. Akuma takes a rest after that last quest for Gallard, he gets to the inn where he stayed and sleeps for the night before he takes the trip on the next morning.

On his way here, Akuma enjoys the view from the train, out of his usual habits to meditate or sleep during the trip. He decided to just enjoy the view because this is a short trip and it won’t be enough for him to do either meditation or sleep during this trip. Akuma also went out of his room on the train to buy some snacks for the trip, that’s when he overheard some rumors and gossip about what’s going on in Era, the town he’s heading to. This situation happened in Era is part of history, it goes back years ago. Due to the years spent without protection from rune knights, many in the military city of Era have grown accustomed to gang warfare, especially in the cities poorest areas. While the recent resurgence of power within the Rune Knights has certainly helped a decline in gang related crimes, it has by no means stamped them out entirely. Some gangs may wish to hire dark mages, as many of them do not possess magic, to help defeat squadrons of Rune Knights looking to stop them, or perhaps even destroy a rival gang in the hopes of gaining their territory.

Meanwhile, many inhabitants of Era have begun to hope for a better time and wish to see these gangs wiped out. Even some knights themselves will hire passing mages to assist in raids against these gangs. When Akuma heard this news about the town's condition, Akuma got more excited about getting to Era. Now that he arrives here, he can see a little bit of the news he heard earlier. But he is more focused on the view of Era. Era is a large town on top of a rocky mountain, this town is also the headquarter of Rune knights. This town is considered as the safest town in fiore because this town has almost no crime. With the Rune Knights around this town, no wonder this has become the safest town in fiore thinks Akuma. But the news he heard on the train is different from what he sees right now, all he sees here is only a stunning view of Era in the central area of Fiore. This large town looks stunning, like how Akuma has imagined a town with rune knights, council and militaries looks like. They have a safe looking area, rune knights headquarters, military quarters, Era dungeon, a beautiful high garden, basically they have everything in this town.

Akuma has every area available in this town in his head. He can think about the best way, and the best schedule to explore this large town without missing anything and any details of this town. His plan is to explore those areas while looking for information about the news he got on the train, so Akuma decided that he will start his tour of the town as soon as possible. Akuma can see a bunch of run knights strolling around town, they might just be patrolling but it seems like it's too many of them if it's just a patrol routine. But as per Akuma's plan, he just kept walking and left those rune knights behind. Akuma looks at his surroundings observing the area as he walks down the street, this town looks amazingly clean and neat, like the infrastructure of this town was already planned from the day one, from the first building is about to be built. The design of the buildings in this town also make him feel like he is not in a big town, in a big city. They all look like a village house with an upgraded material and just bigger in size, maybe with an extra one or two levels.

Walking around this town, Akuma sees an interesting looking restaurant that takes his attention in a blink of an eye. Without hesitation or second thought, Akuma decided to go to that restaurant, feeling like his feet walked on their own and took him there automatically. When Akuma gets in there, he can see that the restaurant is full of people, having their lunch for today, they all look like they are enjoying their meal. The vibes of that restaurant is great with the interior that looks fancy and the worker there seems so nice to everyone. Akuma is then guided by the waiter to get to his table, a table for one. When Akuma sits on that table and looks at the menu, all the lists in the menu sound amazing, like the name of their menu brings out the expectation of delicious and tasty food, but Akuma is not familiar with the food from Era. Instead of ordering something that he’s familiar with, Akuma decided to ask for their most recommended food from the menu and after he got that recommendation Akuma ordered that food and waited for it to be served. But there is something outside the restaurant that takes his attention for now.

From inside the restaurant, Akuma can see outside to the cross of the restaurant. He saw the rune knights from earlier but this time it's not just them. He can see that they are meeting up with more rune knights and it seems like they team up and then walk in the same direction like a group or a team. Akuma, who was curious about what those rune knights are doing, gets his attention stolen by the waiter who brings his food and serves it on the table. The appearance of that food is so good and so stunning that Akuma can't wait to try it for the first time. He starts digging into that meal and gets amazed by the taste of thay food, all the flavour in one spoon that then explodes in his mouth giving him an experience of delicious food. This is why he likes to explore new towns, because every town comes with every different dish, even in one town, different restaurants can serve a different menu and signature dish to give more choices to the food lover from all around the earthland. This experience that Akuma got from this food will never be forgotten and will be in his memory forever.

While Akuma is enjoying his food, he can see outside the restaurant from the same window from earlier. But this time, it’s not a rune knight that he sees out there, he sees a bunch of men out there, they look tough and strong, they look like a bunch of gangsters complete with their weapons. Looks like they are gathering there to make a move and maybe launch their attack somewhere. “Maybe this is the actual thing that I heard about on the train earlier. Those guys might be a gang member doing their illegal business in this town, or maybe ruling some area in this town, or maybe those guys are just about to harm some innocent people of this town.” Thinks Akuma to himself. But being chill about it Akuma decided to finish his meal, he didn't want to skip that amazing meal he enjoyed. After he’s done enjoying every bite of his food, Akuma pays for his meal and gets out of that restaurant with a fresh and happy look on his face. He looks around that restaurant looking for a clue or a sign of those two groups from earlier, a group of rune knights and a group of gangster looking people.

Akuma can’t see any clue or any sign of those two groups around this area anymore, so he start walking towards the direction that was taken by the rune knights, Akuma want to help those run knight fighting against the gangster in this town, not because he want to protect the safety of this town or the safety of the people in this town, he basically want to protect the heavenly taste from the food he ate earlier so no one will have a big fight or a rampage that will put that restaurant and the chefs in danger. Based on that wish of Akuma, he takes a step to be brave and willing to offer his help to the rune knights to fight against the gangster. But it seems like Akuma can't find those two groups anywhere around this restaurant but he keeps trying to look around to at least find one of them. He went to the alley, even the dark one, he checked inside a few stores and restaurants, he even tried to check in some bars and also an inn but he couldn't find them anywhere. "Where did they go till I couldn't find them?" Ask Akuma to himself.

Akuma was walking around with a full stomach right after he finished her lunch, so he got a little tired and sleepy by walking around, so he decided to stop for a while, to take a seat and take a rest. It’s only a while until Akuma sees some people running around and screaming, they look really panicked like they just survived from a near death experience. Akuma, being confused with the situation, stops one of those people who run around, Akuma then asks to get information about the current situation. Turns out that the gangster from earlier took some hostage and threatened the rune knights, they make a demand for the rune knights to let them control this area under their gang and the rune knights have to make sure that they won’t get any trouble from the rune knights. The gangster gives them 5 minutes and after that they will start killing the hostage one by one every extra minute. After he heard about this, Akuma made his move to the location he got from the person he stopped earlier. Start running to the location of those run knights and the gangsters, and when Akuma arrives there, the situation is already heated up and becomes dangerous.

The situation there is already dangerous, the 5 minutes time limit given by the gangster is passed and they are about to kill one of the hostages. Akuma was there observing the situation at that location, the situation is so tense and the patrol rune knights seem unable to solve this situation because there is no way that they agree to the gangster demand but they can't rush and put the hostages' lives in danger. Akuma then approaches one of the rune knights and offers to help the rune knights to solve this situation and save the hostage. But because of his reputation, that rune knight notices him and knows who Akuma is, and according to his knowledge he rejects Akuma’s offers because of his records. But the situation is not getting better, the time is ticking and the gangster really kills one of the hostages in front of everyone there. Seeing the situation, Akuma forces the rune knights to hire him to solve this situation, and because they don’t have any other choice, they agree to hire Akuma and let him help solve this situation. Right after that agreement he rushed towards the gangster at the speed of light. Akuma knocks them out one by one, and with his speed those gangsters don't have a chance to react to his attack. After that the hostages are running away from the scene and Akuma gets his rewards from the rune knights. Those gangsters were then taken by the rune knights as a prisoners.
