Kannon
Worth Woodsea greeted Kannon with towering lumber and lush foliage. Today would be the final job before he departed the north. As much as he liked Orchidia the land itself offered him naught. Jobs were scarce and he needed work, which meant he’d have to migrate elsewhere. Baska was rich with work and so that’s where he was headed. But first he had to see his latest employer before taking the long trek back. By the name of Zimnur he was a handsome, but unscrupulous neko. Kannon had met him on his way out of Orchidia. He saw potential in Kannon and the daemon saw a paycheck in him. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the daemon was recruited by the neko for a special task. It wasn’t that much different than his usual jobs, but it held a twist. Picking up the satchel he used as a pillow, Kannon slid the old bag over his back. At his feet was a map that he’d use to reach Zimnur’s settlement. From what he could tell the encampment wasn’t that far away from where he’d slept. At most it was a morning’s walk. He was confident that he could probably reach it by that afternoon.

Kannon
With the downing of the sun came a new adventure for the daemon. As usual he was excited to take on the mission, but he was tired of the small jobs When he reached the settlement Zimnur appeared to him in shadow. The neko went over their plan with Kannon once more. He was to slay some wolves that had endangered the fledging settlement. Kannon had to admit killing common animals was beneath his power, but it was work. He had no intention of arguing with an employer no matter how uninterested the task seemed. He just swallowed his pride and listened carefully. After the wolves had been slain, he was to take the pack leader’s head and give it to the cowardly cat. Zimnur wanted the glory, but none of the work. Personally, Kannon didn’t care, and simply assured the neko that it would be done. But first Kannon opted to start the day with a balanced breakfast. For the time being he’d been staying at a local inn in the settlement, which provided all the meals he needed. The food was rather basic, especially the breakfast, which consisted of eggs, toast, and bacon. It wasn’t a terrible meal, but it wasn’t great either. It was just enough to leave him full for the day. As part of his daily routine Kannon started a shower as soon as he finished eating.

Kannon
Anxious to begin his newest job the youth left the tavern. Confident as ever the wizard wasted little time on his way to wolves’ den. Zimnur had given him all of the info he needed on where to find the animals. Even as he crossed dirt roads and darted through dark forest the wizard walked with purpose. When he’d arrived, a great wolf met him with fangs on display. With a wave of the hands Kannon summoned a great beast. Equipped with a legion of tentacles and gnashing teeth. The monster quickly slid its meaty tendrils around the beast squeezing life from its body/. Its suffering didn’t stop until its viscera was forced through its maw. As a reward Kannon allowed the abomination to gobble up the wolf’s remains. The fight was not over; however, as Kannon two more wolves still lurked the woods. He contemplated how best to lure them out, but their unexpected assault rendered that unneeded. With great speed one of the wolves lunged at Kannon, only to meet his forcefield, repeling its attack. The other attack the blobby terror only to n be ensured and eaten whole. The final wolf was savaged by another monstrosity entirely ending its threat. Lastly, there was the alpha who was felled by another summon, it’s meaty hook separated the alphas head from his body. Under the cloak of night, Kannon presented the creature’s head to Zimnur.
