"You need me to be entertaining between performances so the audience stays excited while setting up props?" Poropo thought about the job proposal laid out in front of him - all he had to do was be entertaining for five minutes at a time while a bigger performance needed time.

The monk had never truly entertained someone before - accidentally looking funny is the same as genuine comedy, at least to Poropo. Within the context of a professional show, Poropo felt as though he had nothing to elevate the mood of the audience aside from teachings of the Iron Deity, but even Poporo knew he would likely bore the audience with talking.

"I have an idea! I will visualize my journey-" Before Poropo could finish his pitch, he was hired.

"Great! People love journeys. You have a day to rehearse your schtick." Poropo's employer walked off to attend to another matter, leaving the befuddled monk questioning his decision.

Poropo was left to make a simpler decision - visualize his journey or visualize his journey to discovering the Iron Deity. Thankfully the choice was not real - both options were exactly the same. Poropo lived for the Iron Deity so now he just needed to "rehearse his schtick".

Pondering, the monk whispered, "I only have five minutes between performances to do my own performance. There are eight total performances so I have thirty minutes to tell my story."

The night of the show was at hand and Poropo felt as though he could entertain the small crowd for five minutes at a time - thirty minutes total! However, stage freight was getting the better of the old man - speaking with individuals was his strong suit, not speaking to a large crowd. Poropo took a quick peek at the two dozen audience members from behind the curtains and whispered to himself, "May the Iron Deity bless this show...and especially my performance."

Withdrawing his head backstage, Poropo tried to calm his nerves by marveling at the props being used for the main eight shows - some were large, others were numerous, all were fascinating. Poropo was not given props so he had to make due with pantomiming his snippets of journey.

"First performance starts in thirty seconds, Poropo! Time for you to get out there and warm them up!" The shouting from his employers, the owner of the theater, ran shivers down the old monk's fragile spin - he expected to be performing between shows, not before! This would at least extend his total performance time by five minutes - five minutes extra minutes he had not prepared for!

"Um, about my performance time-" Poropo was shoved onto the stage without a moment of hesitation. Perhaps the showrunner believed Poropo's transitional performances mattered little in the grand scheme of things, but Poropo did not want to make a fool of himself for a whole thirty-five minutes.

With a gulp and step forward, Poropo scanned the audience and decided he had to begin his first, five minute performance, "L-ladies and gentleman! M-may the Iron-...Welcome, sit peacefully, and listen to my tale!"

The monk of the Iron Deity began retailing his journey through life and discovery of the Iron Deity to warm the audience to the coming performances. When he finished, he went behind the curtain and prepared for the next few transitions between performances which he filled with warm words and a wide smile. Poropo was thankfully not asked to perform an ending portion to the show, but he still struggled to make up a longer ending to his original performance.

When all was finished, the crowd stood up and cheered for the whole show. Poropo was happy he could entertain, or just warm up, a large crowd of waiting viewers - he was also happy to receive his promised reward which he used to eat some fine food.
