Dáinn nodded as she pulled the tea out and began making the beverage for himself and his mother, and although he did not show it, Dáinn instantly perked up at the mention of a room that was similar to an apartment like space, his hazel-purple eyes shimmering slightly at the thought of being able to stay with his mother in a room that was like having their own little home, without worrying about others barging inside or dealing with people like his father. It was perfect, and Dáinn instantly would take the offer of this area of the guild hall with a firm nod.
“Thank you, Lee.” It was quiet and raspy, there was no signing and Dáinn just stared at his hands resting on the table. A quiet cough came from the teen, as he rubbed his throat, it had been a while since he last used his voice, for some reason he also had not been vocal around his mother much either which was a strange outcome, since he always was vocal around her.
A silent chuckle left Dáinn when the fiery lady mentioned about her daughter being a handful, he figured that was the young girl they had seen earlier when they arrived, and if so then even though he was not much of a people person due to his self developed ways, Dáinn still would love to try and at least befriend the child and play with her sometimes. It was just one thing on the list he is writing in his head on how he can repay LeeAnn and the guild, for helping him in his goal of keeping his mother safe and away from any demi-human hunters that may be lurking in Fiore, or even outside Fiore at that.
“Hikari… That’s a nice name.” Back to signing he went, even just the small thank you had already hurt his vocal cords, and honestly he was now dreading hearing whatever the women had to say about his voice. That was always the number one reason he never spoke, the second being because of things that happened during his childhood.
Dáinn tilted his head, before his smiling slightly fell at the question that LeeAnn had asked. His past was something he tried not to dwell on, and it wasn't for his own sake, it was more for Andromeda’s sake than anything.
“Well… Where to start…” Scratching his head slightly, Dáinn thought for a little on where he would even begin, yes he could straight up say;
I had to escape with mother from Iceberg so father would not kill us, because we refused to cooperate and were only slaves to him? He couldn't because even that seemed a little to, direct for even him.
“Iceberg… Is where I was born, but I never felt like I belonged in that place… I guess that is a good thing to start with?” Dáinn furrowed his brows at what he had said, before shaking his head and signing once more to the lady before him.
“I’m sorry, I am not very good with this…” Glancing at his mother, Dáinn bitterly smiled, when he noticed that she was just staring off at one of the walls. It was no good, he couldn’t relay why they had ended up here without bringing up bad times for his mother that happened even before he was born.
“I apologise. I can’t really say. I fear upsetting Mútta if I do.” He glanced at LeeAnn before lowering his gaze once more to the surface in front of him, his back to the both of them as his mother continued to stare at the wall on the table behind him.
