- Quest: Rat Catcher
Rank: C
Type: Bad
Requirements: None
Client:
Godfrey Might: Godfrey is a smith, towering over many with his height and muscles, who crafts swords and armors. He is a bit younger than Berthold, but still considers him a good friend. While Godfrey originally only made armors, Berthold noticed his talent and encouraged him to make both weapons and armor. He often rewards one of his pieces at the tournament.
Summary: While browsing in the blacksmiths shop in Baska, you see a thief steal from Godfrey, the owner. Annoyed that someone would have the audacity to steal from him, but unable to leave the shop unattended, he requests your aid in capturing the thief and returning him to the blacksmith. You are given permission to use any force you deem necessary, so long as you do not kill the thief, as Godfrey wishes to talk to him personally.
Enemies: None
Objective: Catch the thief and bring him to Godfrey.
Details:
Create a topic in Baska City.
While in the blacksmiths shop, you will witness a robbery take place, with a expensive looking weapon being stolen.
Unable to go himself and thinking you are capable enough, Godfrey will ask you to capture and deliver the thief to him, stating that you may "break his legs if you have to".
Locate the thief, who won't yet have had the time to leave Baska town.
Using any force desired, capture, but do not kill, the target and return him to Godfrey. The thief will not put up any fight, but will try to flee unless stopped.
Watch as an angered Godfrey admires your handiwork if you used force, takes the man into his shop, and proceeds to use his hammer to torture the man for stealing from him.
Noticing that you aren't horrified by what he's done, Godfrey will thank you and pay you for bringing the thief to him, apologising for having to see him lose his temper, something even his little brother has never seen.
Collect your reward and depart.
It was nice to be back in Baska, he wanted to check in with the miners and see if he could use some task they needed done to make some quick jewels. Before he went to see them though, Knux popped into the city market area and was looking at a local blacksmiths shop. He was searching for some new gear to upgrade what he was currently wearing. He knew his hammer was more than enough to carry him through for the rest of his days, so much as he kept on liking the style of it. He used it as he had with his sword though he found it too less skill to use this than a katana. While he might not have been following the dream of becoming a legendary swordsman still, he figured he would generate more of a name for himself for using a large hammer like the one on the small of his back. Thanks to all the training and fighting he had down with the hammer and his heavy armor he had grow used to the weight and even had started to not feel the weight of it bearing down on his body anymore.
