Kaito

Kai walks out to a nice flat area in the forest and he starts brain storming a few new spells he would like to learn, he needs one that will give him more swiftness and a new attack to help him take down stronger foes and break stronger shields, Revy walks up and helps him set up targets and has a stop watch at the ready to help him train. He figures he will start with the easier one of speed buffing. He knows this has to be a wind spell he can feel it in his heart, so he starts crafting a hand motion that will feel correct to the spell, the first motion he tries is to thrust his hand towards to feet, but it doesn't feel like the right movement, that it doesn't flow like a speed buffing wind spell should look or feel like, he draws in the dirt.

Kaito

The new motions he draws don't seem right either, he wants to feel the wind, like he does in his heart every time he is out in the wild, he places his hand on his heart then, he feels it the right movement for this new spell, he will use the wind in his heart, like a core to reflect how he wants the spell to look, like his body is engulfed with the wind like he is flying, he throws his arms out wide and a shaky 1-meter diameter white magic seal appears behind him but nothing happens, he closes his eyes close then he tries it again this time the 1-meter diameter white circle gives him very tiny white wind wings Kai doesn't realize he has tiny wings on his back, Revy looks at them and tells him about them. "Seems I made a flight spell."

Kaito

It wasn't his aim but he wants to make it as well, so he can soar with with the wind, Revy gets an inflatable crash pad from her bag, and Kai ends the spell then he focuses and tries to envision the wings in his mind so he can make them appear because that is the first step to getting to try to fly. He works making the wings he sees in his mind to come out to reality so he can try to use them, they they keep coming out misshaped or too small for use, he begins to get frustrated, Revy who can see the wings tells him how to better shape them, he finally gets them to look and feel right on his back. He tries to fly but he doesn’t get any height off of the ground, he still feels as heavy as a brick, he tries to jump and he hovered for part of a second then just falls flat on his back side.

Kaito

He gets up and keeps trying with Revy cheering him on and he starts getting getting off of the ground more steadily floating a few feet off the ground, he starts trying to move in different directions he moves very slowly moving at a snails pace, just trying to move at all as he is slightly scared and the magic feels that. He lands and then pushes off of the ground going a little higher and moving faster slowly so not to throw off his balance and panic and fall on his head and break his neck, Revy moves the crash pad under him seeing his wings faulted and Kai comes crashing down to the crash pad and lands flat on his back and he sighs then kips back up to his feet to try again, he needs to master this, he will be able to get around some much easier if he can get this spell down.

He spreads his arms out and the 1 meter diameter white magic seal appears behind him again and his wings appear back on his back and he pushes off hard off of the ground and he goes a little to high to fast and he learns to lower himself down a little bit and learns how to go up without pushing off of the ground, he sticks close to the ground as he works on how to control movement he starts speeding up as he moves along the ground and Revy claps but Kai stopped watching and ran head first into a tree and he falls flat on the ground and rubs his head. He feels he is so close to cracking it he can taste it, he gets back to his feet then starts floating a little again and he starts going faster slowly leaving the finer controls as he tries to weave through the trees and as he goes slightly increasing the speed making it slightly harder to control as he goes.

He lands and he figures it is time to go higher and push harder to get this done, he knows this will be a useful tool all he has to do is push harder, he spreads his arms again and a 1 meter diameter magic seal appears and his wings spring to action and he takes to the sky and he flies around branches and does his best not get get snagged or caught up on them, he has Revy set up targets he will need to look for from above, to try and see if he can use it for scouting as well as getting around and to higher places faster and if he can attack while flying without throwing himself off balance and crashing. He starts flying and snapping his fingers making magic seals and he spins swiping through them and it almost looks like he is throwing feathers for how clean it looked as he did it but he still has a ways to go.

Kaito

He sees he is misjudging the rotation he would need and he works on stabilizing himself with his wings he takes a deep breath and he flies back to the starting line and he restarts and he keeps restarting till he can do it right. To finish off his training he flies to the max height he can fly to the gets rid of his wings, he is testing if he can do it under pressure, he starts plummeting toward the ground and when he starts nearing the ground he puts his arms out wide the 1 meter diameter white magic seal appears behind him and his wings appear on his back and he pulls up just before he hits the ground gliding along the ground dodging the trees and targets and landing safely on his feet and he lets the wings fade he raises his arms in success then falls backwards onto the crash pad having mastered the spell, he now needs to think of how to start the next spell he has his eyes set on which is the speed buff spell.

He catches his breath then returns to his original spell he was chasing a buffing spell made of wind magic, Kai thinks more how he can bring out his inner wind, Kai he closes his eyes and reaches up and puts his hand over his chest and he feels like the wind itself is speaking to him, telling him that the key is right there within his grasp, he pushes his hand to his chest and he feels the wind course through his body as a flicking 1 meter diameter white magic circle sweeps across his body, there is a light wind surrounding him, it is weak but he can still feel it around himself, it doesn’t feel much stronger then his wind cloak but he can feel it has much more potential then it did, he is a slight bit faster but it still feels too fleeting and shaky.

He ends the spell and he focuses envisioning the wind hugging to his skin like a sweet embrace of the wind and his human body, like how most elves are with nature. He tries again raising his hand to his chest and he pushes his hand against his chest and he feels the same surge of wind again, as the 1 meter diameter white magic seal sweeps across him the wind seems to still be petering and not strong enough to keep sustained for very long, he wonders if maybe he is relaying to much on the feeling and not the actual effect, he tests his strength of the spell so he can practice controlling and maintaining it so once he gets it right that step may prove to be easier, he has Revy time how long he can sustain it’s stability, the times are small but as he focuses the times get better.

Now he needs to get it stronger and not so lack luster and less likely to just peter out on him when he needs it to be hugging him close making him lighter and swifter so he might reach his goal faster plus increase his new flight speed so he can be in a place of need faster and catch those against him by surprise at his speed and his power to fly and chase those that flee from him. He hits his fist in his hand, he takes in a deep breath of air and as he raises his hand to his chest and pushing his hand to his chest he releases the air in his lungs and this time the wind is more defined on his body but it is still weaker then he feels it should be. He takes a mark and he has Revy time him.

He runs to time his laps as he progresses to refine the wind to try and get it just right, he even sets up obstacles, that he has to dodge as he runs, so he can learn to control the speed as he slowly starts to perfect the spell, slowly making better times, he starts using his sense skill in tandem with his sensory spell to make it so he can use it to avoid swinging targets Revy is controlling making his lunges longer and his speed control raise. He pats himself on the back because he has come a long way with this spell, but now it is time for the hard part and finer tuning it for faster activation and better sustainability than the still wild wind he can feel blowing around him when he uses it, making him have to spend extra mana wastefully to get it back under control like a bucket with a hole in it, he can feel the extra strain it is putting on his body as he tries to sustain it which he knows will not work in the long run it will just tire him out before he can really do anything with it.

"Okay I just need to tighten it up." He places his hand in front of his chest and he brings his hand to his chest like he is pushing air into himself the 1 meter diameter white magic seal sweeps over him and he feels like his body is caught in a small whirlwind, He feels like he is embodying the wind and could just disappear into the breeze around him, he gets to his mark and Revy starts the spot watch as he starts, he feels far faster, feeling like the wind is carrying him along as he ran. He knows he has to test this with his flying as well to make sure he can control it as well, he knows this will come in use in the field as he has to run, fight, chase and keep himself moving. He keeps working on controlling his speed and his control on turning and movement as he goes on his laps before testing it on jumping and lunging.

Kaito

Revy clocks his fastest time for the course and then Kai moves to the obstacle course, to test his dodging and running jumps, to make sure he can keep it from going over board and keep himself safe and not have to worry his team mates if he over or undershoots his targeted area. He feels like he has it down pretty well so he jumps into the trees and he uses his speed to jump from tree to tree branch and he bounces off of some of them cause he over shot them with the speed he had gained knowing he still has some growing to do to get more use to this new found speed buffing spell. He has Revy start up the moving targets and he uses his speed to reposition and release wind attacks keeping on the move so he can cast and keep on top of a target or keep the enemy guessing from where and how many their could be if he is fast enough to cast then get to the other side and cast to make an enemy think they are surrounded if he can build and keep the speed. He sits down winded from all the running and takes a break before he starts working on his last spell he came to train.

Kaito

He self reflects and he realizes he needs a single target attack style frost spell because most of his frost spells are supportive or area or effect. He starts planning the spell he wants it to become he is thinking a decent sized fist projectile made of ice, then thinks it should be spiked so it will strike fear in some one it is aimed at or is thrown at. He moves his left arm trying to think if he wants the projectile to be a straight punched fist or a more curved hook punch. He settles on a straight punch and now he needs to work on the motion, he starts practicing how he wants to try and make it work. He makes a fist and he pulls back and then sends his fist forward and he thinks it fits well enough and should be a solid motion for this spell.

He plants his feet and he makes his left hand into a fist and he pulls back a 1 meter diameter cyan magic seal appearing in front of his fist and he punches into it but nothing comes out of it but a fine mist of frost that just scatters into the wind. He figures he didn't focus enough frost magic and he pulls back again and he feels his left hand start to chill as the frost magic builds up as the 1 meter diameter cyan magic seal appears and he thrusts his fist into the cyan magic seal and a misshapen fist just falls out of the seal onto the ground just in front of him hitting the dirt with a loud thud. "well that is a step forward." He laughs softly at that sad attempt he had just done, then he takes a breath and tries again closing his left hand into a fist and pulling it back He thinks he can feel it this time.

He swings his arm forward forcibly into the magic circle and a very small dull looking fist shaped projectile rockets out and hits one of the standing targets shattering on impact disappearing into a fine frosted mist. He thinks he gets it now he has to deliver both a strong and a faster hit to make it more solid and so it goes further than just dropping out of the circle into the dirt. He wants to try lunching a few more smaller ones and working up to the real deal so he can get a better handle on the effort he is gonna need to put into the punch if he wants it to come out consistently the size he needs it to be and hit with the power he needs it too. He looks at the targets and he makes a fist with his left hand and he pulls back, the 1 meter diameter cyan magic seal appears and he drives his fist into the magic circle.

This time a projectile a bit larger comes out and it hits the target firmly and he feels like it is getting closer to what he is looking to get out of this training and spell, he then walks up to the target and he sees the target is pretty well damaged from the impact and he has Revy hand him a fresh new target and he puts it up in it's place then he gets back to his mark on the ground for how long he needs it to be able to reach and he focuses on using it back to back to see if he can get the punch right twice in a row. He firmly puts his left hand into a fist and he pulls back and the 1 meter diameter cyan magic seal appears and he punches into it sending an almost glittering spiked fist shaped projectile leaving a wisp of frost following that looked perfect to him go flying he quickly remakes his fist with his left hand then pulls back another 1 meter diameter cyan magic seal appears and he hurries punching it.

Kaito

This time sending a far less impressive fist shaped projectile flying for the second target, the first nearly perfect one hit the target squarely doing damage to the target, the second punch was far less impressive it looked meek and it shattered instantly doing very little damage to the target. He is disappointed in how pitiful the second one was but he is proud the the first one he sent there, it was nearly perfect to his vision. He firmly puts his left hand into a fist and he pulls back again, the 1 meter diameter cyan magic seal appearing he punches his hand into the cyan magic seal, sending out a perfectly shaped spiked glittering fist with the wisp of frost following it, it hits the target square again. He asks Revy to man the moving targets again so he can tray some moving target practice and he makes a fist with his left hand and pulls back.

Kaito

The 1 meter diameter cyan magic seal appearing and he times the punch to when a target should move into it's range sending a perfectly formed glittering ice projectile hitting the moving target making it swing wildly and Revy ducks for her safety as the projectile explodes. "It is still a little too wild." He rubs his chin then throws a few more measured punches to try for his next cast then makes a fist with his left hand again and he pulls back and a 1 meter diameter cyan magic seal appears and this time he used the measured punch he was just doing slightly holding back. A shimmering spiked icy fist comes flying out with the frosted wisp trail following it and right into the target where he needed it to hit with the right power, so it stayed on track and wasn't a risk to any on lookers. Revy runs over to Kai and looks at his hand which looks a little purple from his earlier attempts to master this spell.
