Dark, filth and otherwise undesirable, words that Kon felt perfectly described Oak City. Just why did people live in such a hole of a city? It was something that had always confused him when he went there. He hadn’t been there in years in reality but all the same, things didn’t really seem to have changed since he had been gone. Still riddled with criminals and otherwise unsavoury characters, he had been one of them only a few years ago hence why he could easily identify the scoundrels from the innocent. This was precisely the reason for Kon to be wearing his entire arsenal rather than walking around in civilian attire. Wearing anything else he felt would be inadequate whether it’d be thugs that had assumed Kon for a hapless potential damsel in distress for them to kidnap and ransom or pickpockets hoping to rifle through Kon’s many pockets. While his bow was drawn and ready for use, it continued to remain in his back up until the point he actually reached the streets of oak where he finally drew the weapon to his side.
Kon was distinctly aware of the precarious nature that he had put himself in, he was after all in the heart of Eternal Nightmare and if he wasn’t careful things could get nasty quickly. He was after all alone for this exercise, Khalfani would not be joining him having other business to attend to just as his guild members were dealing with their own affairs. Kon had come to the castle topped city having received yet another message from a mysterious individual. He was honestly downright confused as to how they, whomever they were kept managing to find him. His constant moving around should have made it impossible for them to rightly track them down, but at this point, he just assumed that he was either being stalked or they were just leaving messages at known locations and then using Kon’s colleagues as the in-between. Hopefully, it was the latter as the former suggested more sinister intents. Nonetheless, Kon would not shy away from the task that had been given.
