Kaito

Kaito enters the under belly of the city again this time he is there on a request of some missing people and children, to find out if they are being sold or if they are being taken in to some place and being sent off or experimented on. Kai is unsure even where to start on this request but he is gonna do his damnest to find out what is going on here and fix it, he uses his warping to jump around. He sees a group of people being ushered around by armed guards of the city. Kai keeps his distance but he starts warping and watching the group of people because they don't look happy with what is going on like they are captives and not willing walking around with them keeping their children close and the children look like they are terrified of where they are at the moment.

They are lead down a set of doors leading to a basement and when a child tries to flee they grab and drag the child down the stairs. Kai keeps his eyes on the place before he makes himself intangible then jumps down through the door and walks along the path to see where it leads not knowing if those were real guards or some scum pages using stolen gear from guards, he hurries but tries to stay light on his feet so not to tip them off to him following them in this tight tunnel and risk some of the what look like hostages to be harmed cause he would never hear the end of it from Judith back at his guild for being reckless on a mission that should have been easy to do without someone innocent getting hurt. He hears them talking a little further up the tunnel he hears them talking about how a woman pays a big price for these women and children for her experiments and mutants.

Kai gets into a huge chamber like rea where people are in cages and are being looked at by what look like medical professionals he wonders how far and deep these things go how many people are on payroll in this thing Kai is gonna look for an opening and warp away a shipment and take the ride for them to who ever this woman is they are being sent to. He waits holding onto a rock hanging up and right at the point where the cage of people disappears out of their sight he warps to it and he warps the people away to safety so they don't end up caught in the cross fire of what ever may come from going down this rail way to what ever hell he just saved them from having to witness. He steels himself and Revy shows herself in his hood and looks around.

Revy looks at Kai wondering how much damn trouble they are in this time and if he really thinks he can handle it if they get into a fight or some other kind of other trouble, Kai gives Revy a very carefree smile like he will handle it no matter what might come their way, even if it kills him he is willing to throw away his life to try and stop this from happening again. He keeps himself watching and hoping this is not just gonna go to hell again. He warps himself from the cart and to a upper platform and he looks down at the people confused why the newest delivery is empty with nothing to show from it. they start to try to contact the other side and they get no answer. He figures the people he warped out got the rune knights to come and save the others.

He knows he has to work quick then if the Rune Knights are on their way here, so he needs to find and beat the person behind this and free anyone else that would be entrapped in here, he knows this is gonna get rough and he is gonna have to rush some of the fighting but he isn't gonna back down, he is trained and he is ready for this sort of thing he will not be defeated by some random science experiment from some twisted mad genius that should have been stopped long ago before they got to be this big of a problem for the rest of the world or this city, he wonders what city they are under at the moment and he wonders if they might be under the monsters city. He wonders if this person doing tests is a monster herself. He knows his heart is leading him in the right way but will he end up having the power to do what he must in the end or will he kill them or just catch them alive.

It is a strong feeling of dread in him as he crosses the thresh hold into the testing lab cause he himself had been in one of these heard the screams of other people there, begging and wishing for their death and to be let free. Kai was a mute back then he had no idea how to speak or to understand words he was nothing but a lab rat to be tested on, a blank slate to be used how ever they saw fit to do or use him. Here it looks the same that he would have to see other people that have gone through cruel tests and had their spirits broken their bodies in pieces or deformed. He looks around and sees as he feared peoples souls shattered their wills to live gone, only their broken bodies are left to take up the space they use to take for themselves.

He comes to another area where test subjects have been mutated and are released and they bum rush Kai swinging and trying to hurt him, their minds were also empty so Kai just does enough to knock them out and he keeps going when he is accosted by a huge monster of one. Kai just barely gets his hand up in time to warp himself to a different spot before he gets crushed under the monsters fist, they went looking for where Kai is at and they take more swings at him and Revy. Kai keeps them on the move from this monster and he throws himself around it and he goes in and he starts hitting and dodging. The hit and run tactics are going well for him so far. He hears a screech then two more come his way, He warps one away and the other two jump him and he warps Revy away as he takes another hit and he keeps on his feet.

He uses portals to have pieces of them to disappear and make openings for himself to get in and he keeps going at them and not wasting a second and not going to fall apart he was so close to being done. He starts breathing heavily he was starting to reach his limit and he wasn't gonna be able to keep up at this pace, the two monsters finally topple over and he looks at Revy who is giving him a thumbs up and he takes a second to get a drink and something to snack on from the small cats bag of goodies. Revy looks at him and checks to see if he was hurt or not cause he is sore from taking a hit from the monster and he needed to get his head together cause his body hurts to just breath or think. He gets his cloak back on and secured then he starts walking again and he wonders if this place could maybe have a cure researched for his curse, but he highly doubted it.

He doesn't want to give up hope though that some day that he can be freed from this curse and he will be able to walk around like everyone else that he sees are the cities and he hopes that he can fully be free to be himself and not worry that he will hurt everyone that gets close to him and he will be able to make someone else happy maybe even find the one and start a family, but he figures that is probably a long time away to him at this stage. He would need someone that would be able to stand him first, he laughed softly to himself and shakes his head to refocus himself as he had let his thoughts wander on him and that is dangerous so deep in enemy territory, this was not the time to be taking flights of fancy about what ifs even if he knows he is cured in other worlds or have learned to control it to the closest power possible of it.

He gets to an area that looks like an office and their is a woman inside looking like she is trying to destroy a file and Kai warps the pile of papers away from her and looks at them, it has names places and people that are funding this stuff and what they wanted from it has well as their names signed on the dotted lines that they will serve her and send her people some of the names are more higher ranking people, Kai knows this is enough to put her away from a long time if not have her killed she drops to her knees and starts begging Kai to not do this to let her go so she can save problems and help people Kai warps behind her and knocks her out and restrains her. He takes her and hands her over to the rune knights along with the papers, they pay him and he grabs Revy and they go on their way portaling out of this horrible place.
