Lucretia was surprised to see that there was so much work going on in baska; people were rushing around all over the damn place. From dealing with fernando to dealing with Gerard’s problem ontop of handling scuffles in the streets lucretia had been finding herself very busy. But that didn’t mean she would stop working for those that needed her. She was resting on a bench when someone delivered a letter to her; from Gerard no less!

She’d read it over and furrow her brow a bit as she found the contents of the letter somewhat disturbing. The idea that there was a virus going around enraging both people and animals made her wonder if there was some kind of magic involved? She’d furrow her brow a bit as it continued to explain that it also affected wildlife; causing them to become extremely violent and honestly quite a brazen problem. She’d bite her lip a bit at the idea that the animals were getting caught in this because of someone. That kind of pissed her off honestly.

He wanted her to find a pack; sedate one of them and bring it back to him so he could study it. She hoped that he had some sort of way to restrain the boar in question. Biting the inside of her lip she’d find that he already had a location in mind for where to pick up the animals. Sighing a bit she’d set her spear on her back before heading out. If she used it there was no way that she wouldn’t outright kill the boars here.

It’d take her a better part of the day to find the location he was talking about; since the letter tended to ramble a bit. She’d manage to find the boars; taking stock of the group as a whole. Honestly the way that they roamed about did worry her. They were scratching at trees and grunting at one another. It was strange that they weren’t attacking one another; was it some kind of pack mentality or was it something much more worrying?

She didn’t have too much time before one of the boars noticed her. Letting out a squeal of anger it’d charge at her. Lucretia however didn’t even so much as flinch as it ran towards her. She’d stand up, take a wide stance and brace herself. The boar was attempting to gore her but without any trouble at all the boar would find lucretia had caught it’s tusks. Worry flashed on it’s features before lucretia heaved. The boar went up, over and then slammed down behind her, knocking it senseless and stunning it before lucretia gave it a cursory glance. She had actually knocked it out with that little motion.

Honestly her strength sometimes even surprised herself; with that loud racket however the rest of the boars realized that she was here. Meaning that she had to defend herself from the onslaught of the ‘pack’. The first boar missed completely, nearly tripping over the unconscious body of it’s counterpart. The next two would ding off of lucretia’s armor and the fourth?

Lucretia’s fist found itself punching through it in nearly one practical motion; these boars weren’t a threat to someone like her but they would be a threat to civilians who would need to hunt around here. So taking them out would be a mercy to the civilians that could be in danger from this. She held very little back in fights like this; watching it crumble she’d turn to find the boars advancing again. The first one would try to gut her with it’s tusks but lucretia grabbed on and wouldn’t even budge for a moment. The pig looked worried and with a heave again; lucretia instead tore the beasts tusks out; prompting the boar to scream in pain before she’d drive both of those tusks into either side of it’s skull. Killing it instantly.

The other boars looked stunned at how she just brutalized their companions but shaking that off they’d charge again. Lucretia would kick out at one; sending it skittering away before grasping at the other boar, lifting it up with one hand and then hurling it away from her. She’d watch it crash in, then through a tree with some satisfaction. There was something about hunting like this that stirred her inner beasts. They reveled in this sort of thing and if it wasn’t for the fact she was on a schedule… well she might have let one of them feed on the corpses of the fresh kills.

Shaking her head; the last boar would slowly approach her. Chest heaving as she could see where she had kicked in its side. It was something she found herself reveling in given the strength that she was graced with. This time she’d step forward; causing the boar to freeze; it was extremely violent, yes but the thing in front of it had more or less effortlessly killed three of the four others. Growling lucretia didn’t let it consider its options. Grabbing onto its tusks, twisting one way. Then the next and with a heavy in the opposite direction she used the tusks as leverage to snap it’s neck with a satisfying crunch. She’d watch it fall to the ground and note that it had passed very shortly after.

Heading to the first boar she’d check it over, finding that it was conscious. Breathing in shallow short bursts as though it was dreaming some kind of violent thoughts, Lucretia would hoist it up on her shoulder. She’d pause for a second and glance back; maybe leaving these bodies unattended would be a bad thing. But she had a tight window for this boar. Making note to come back later she’d have to figure out how to dispose of the bodies to avoid other animals getting sick.

She’d head back to the town with the boar in tow, explaining to the others there what she was doing and why she was doing it. It’d take a little finagling before they’d let her in and to the hospital. Where Gerard was already prepped for her. Placing the body of the boar down she’d note that he was still sporting the cut from before; though it looked better than before. She’d smile when he thanked her and handed her the reward. Giving him a firm shake of the hand before turning to go. She liked working for honest people like this and she hoped she’d find out the reasoning for it.
