Apparently things had been going wrong all day and fernando didn’t know what was going on; he thought at first they were doing well but that things were just. Not working; tripping; tangling and otherwise between multiple of the models. The only one that didn’t seem to have problems was the botanist that everyone seemed to like.
Fernando was a little upset since this was putting them back but would ask lucretia if she could investigate what was going on by spying or straight up talking to people. Both of which would work but she preferred a more on hand approach.
The first one that she would talk to was the bartender; he was a fairly charming sort that was a little bit too honest for his own good. He admitted that he had tripped the armorsmith to make him seem like a fool so he could impress the guard captain but it had just turned out to make the armorsmith more enamored with the botanist for some reason. Lucretia would sigh and quietly berate the man before heading off to the next one.
The botanist didn’t seem to know what was going on and why everyone was acting like they were; she was just listening to fernando and doing what he asked when it seemed like everyone was making mistakes all of a sudden when the last day or so had been really fruitful. Lucretia sighed a little bit and just nodded; the botanist was too pure to really do anything to anyone else.
The traveling merchant with amber hair would take a little convincing but he had admitted to tangling up the guard captains dress so that she’d trip and maybe jar her arm or something like that manner. Lucretia would scold the man for almost hurting someone and would remind him that he was here because of her and that him acting like this would be a problem for everyone.
The fourth individual was the armorsmith who didn’t even deny what he was doing. He admitted plainly he wanted to show off and that the smaller pint sized guys here made him look good but he had to show off in front of the botanist. She’d appreciate his honesty but would sigh as he seemed to also be vying for the attention of the guard captain. Something that could create a little bit of trouble given the fact.
The last was the guard captain who was just sharpening one of her weapons off to the side now that she was on break. It was a dagger, definitely long enough to be a problem if it was used on the walkway. Lucretia would eye her and the captain would stop before looking up at her. Then it sort of hit her what she was doing and she’d set it aside. She’d admit to being pissed with the guy that had tripped her and was going to cut his outfit but… she couldn’t really find a reason to lash out like that. The woman was frustrated with this turn of events because all she wanted to do was what lucretia had suggested. But the violence would solve nothing. She was happy that everyone had been honest with her but…
Lucretia would return to fernando and start to explain; those that had actually mussed up the others made the man facepalm. Rubbing at his temples and then running his hands through his hair. It took him a few long moments and then he’d eventually call everyone over. He’d talk about how they were all part of a team; how they were supposed to work with one another to create a good flow but because of what happened…
Four of them were going to be let go and he’d need the outfits back. Most of the ones that had done something didn’t seem to expect to be made on that list. But the last the botanist sighed and started to adjust herself. The outfit went over hers but lucretia stopped her and stared at the rest; fernando couldn’t really find the words and after shooting him a glance lucretia would speak for the man. He was angry she could tell that much but he didn’t want to yell. She didn’t blame him.
”You’re all fired. Save for her. Leave your outfits and head on home. You all should be ashamed of how you acted.”
The group seemed surprised; but none of them argued given that lucretia was very cross with each and every one of them. Which was probably more damning given that she was the one that had picked every single one of them. The armorsmith bowed his head and apologized before leaving. The guard captain did the same but the other two left with a huff while the bartender told lucretia she wasn’t welcome in his bar anymore. She’d shrug.
”I’ll just go to the boar’s hat then.”
Her dismissiveness of that caused him to visibly flinch before he left and the guard captain looked back as she was almost out of the door. She’d give the botanist a small thumbs up and a sad smile before heading out. It was a frustrating turn of events sure but they deserved it with the way that they were acting. The wolfen warrior would turn to the botanist who was trying not to cry from all this. Honestly an innocent girl at this point. Lucretia would look to fernando who thanked her for doing that while he was trying to handle his emotions.
”It happens fernando. I apologize because I picked them all thinking it’d be fine… Good thing we have her huh?”
Lucretia smiled down at the younger woman who gave her a smile and would head off. Fernando watching her go before turning to lucretia; glad that he had at least one model to work with. He’d hand her a good sack of jewels and ask her to come back some other time once they figure all this out. Nodding her head lucretia would turn to leave; figuring that she had done enough for the day…
