Astera, Achlys doesn’t really have a memory in this town, she only visited this place once in her life. This is the second time and she is still amazed with what her eyes get to see. If she tries to remember, the first time she came here she had to slay something like a sea creature, and she remembered that she pushed one fisherman from his boat to make him swim and gain the attention from that sea creature, it was pretty funny for Achlys and Lilith. ”Ah, that was fun, I would like to see what other ideas you have this time Achlys.” Says Lilith to Achlys in her mind. Yes, Achlys is visiting Aster for the exact same reason. She was contacted by the one who gave her the prize for killing the sea creature last time. She is hired to do the same thing again, seems like that creature is back and takes all the fish from the fisherman again.
As Achlys walks to the meeting point to meet her client, Achlys has a little discussion with Lilith in her mind. “What do you think Lilith, is that creature really back in town?” Ask Achlys to Lilith in her mind. “I don’t know, I mean why does he even bother to hire you if that creature is not really back here and annoying some fisherman?” ”Hmmm, you’re right, but does that mean the one that we killed is not the only one? Is it possible to think that they do something like migration around sometime in a year to come here and try to collect fish for their supply?” Ask Achlys to Lilith in her mind out of curiosity. ”To think that you got hired for the same problem again, only prove one thing. The one we killed before is not the only one, and this time they might come in a group instead of just one creature.” Said Lilith to Achlys.
To think about it, Lilith gets a good point. If there are more than one of them, and they killed the last one, this time those creatures might come as a group, maybe trying to rescue or look for the one they killed. If that is true, means this time Achlys needs to think of another way to deal with them. As the conversation between Achlys and Lilith is over, they arrive at the meeting point where Achlys is supposed to meet the guy that hired her. “I’ll just wait out here, this kind of place doesn’t really fit me anyway.” Said Ban to Achlys when he saw the meeting point. Ban is Achlys Exceed companion who always follows her around, unless Achlys told him not to. But Achlys never involves him in a fight, even though Ban looks tough he likes to solve problems with money instead of violence. Once he join in a fight, he can be very brutal and he have no problem with the idea of murder and killing others, maybe that’s why he can get along with Achlys.
After what Ban said to Achlys, she walks into the restaurant where she is supposed to meet the guy that hired her. As she walks in, she looks around trying to find the face of the guy, but she can’t find him. While turning her head around, a guy actually noticed her and waved his hand to get her attention. Achlys walks toward that guy, but she didn’t recognise the face of that guy. “Nice to meet you, you must be Achlys. I’m here to tell you the details for your job on behalf of my master, the one that hired you.” Says that guy to Achlys as she stops next to the table. “I don’t really have much time and I’m planning to finish this job today if it’s possible. So don’t waste my time and just get to the point and tell me the details.” Answer Achlys to that guy asking him to just hurry up and tell her the details.
“I was told that you were the one who exterminated one of these creatures the last time, so I believe you know the job. But this time it’s a little bit different. This time it’s not just one, but there are 5 of them. Your job is the same, you need to take care of them but there is one thing I need to tell you. I don’t think you will be able to finish this job today because so far, they only show up early in the morning right around sunrise. So the fastest you can finish this job is tomorrow. I will be the one that shows you the area where this creature usually showed up, and after we finish our meeting here, I will take you to the inn that was provided by my master.” As that guy finished his explanation Achlys answered instantly. “You don’t have to show me the inn, just give me the name of it or a map to get there, I will take a walk today since I can do the job straight away anyway.”
After Hearing the answer from Achlys, that guy quickly drew a map from the central area of the town to the inn. It's not that far from the central area, but it will be more efficient to draw a map that starts there. The map gives pretty detailed information about the inn, plus the name of the guy that booked the room for Achlys. After that guy gave her all the information, he gave that map to Achlys. "Here, this map should be good enough to guide you to the inn. It starts at the central area of the town straight to the inn. It’s easier to guide you from there since I don't know where you will be after this, and I’m sure you know the central area.” Said that guy to Achlys. Right after takes the map, she leaves the place without a single word coming out from her mouth. As she walks out the restaurant, Ban stands from his seat and starts to walk with Achlys again.
”Where are we going now?” Ask Ban to Achlys. Achlys actually has one place she wants to visit before getting to the inn, plus the time might be perfect. But she doesn’t want to force Ban to join her, so she asks him the question. “I want to go to one place before I get to the Inn, how about you? Do you want to go straight to the Inn?” Offering Ban to go to the Inn earlier so he might get some rest. “Nah, I will look around Astera, this is actually my first time here so I’ll explore. Do you want to meet somewhere before we go to the Inn, like a meeting point?” Ask Ban to Achlys, suggesting they meet up before they go to the Inn. This way, both of them can do their business without worrying about giving the map only to one of them.
“Okay, meet me later at the central area of Astera and just wait for me, I don’t think you can remember this map even if I explain it to you one thousand time.” Achlys agree to meet up before going to their inn, and from there Achlys and Ban walk on separate ways heading towards their own destination. Achlys has one place she wants to visit. This place is famous for being a great spot to dive from, but that is not the reason why Achlys wants to go there. The view from this place is undeniably good, perfect might be the right word to describe it. Imagine the view from the highest part of a cliff, the danger of getting up there is totally worth it. Once Achlys gets to the highest part of that cliff, the breath that she takes shows how she appreciates the view from up there.
She enjoys her time up there, looking at the great view she can rarely get. “You don’t have to think about it Achlys, we will have to wait until some people with the right power show up. There is nothing we can do besides waiting, I know how you really want it, but you are already in the right place for now, I suggest you cherish every moment.” Said Lilith out of the blue, knowing how something bothers is bothering Achlys mind, but Lilith also knows that there is nothing to worry about and they are already on the right path, things just happened to move slower than Achlys’s expectation. They had some talk before finally Achlys got back to the central area, that is more like a discussion, some point to agree and some other to disagree, but they have to stop because they have to go to the central area to meet up with Ban.
As she arrives at the central area of Astera, she sees Ban has been waiting for her there. “Why did it take you so long to get here? I’m already tired I want some sleep so we better start moving to the inn.” Said Ban as he noticed Achlys from quite a distance. Achlys was right, Ban has been waiting here for her. Now that they are reunited, they can start heading to the inn to finally call it a day and get some rest doing the real job tomorrow morning. When they arrive at the inn, they look pretty amazed by the Inn. It’s not some normal inn where they usually visit during a trip. This place has more glamor added to it, and not something that they can afford. Lucky for them that their room in this Inn is already paid, it seems like the one that hired Achlys is someone that has fortune on his side.
The worker guides them to their room, and as they arrive, Ban quickly runs to bed and drops his body on the bed. “Finally… I get the chance to lay my body down, I’m super tired after exploring Astera. You know I went…” Before Ban gets to finish his sentence, Achlys is already in the bathroom and closes the door, queuing Ban to stop talking and she doesn’t really care about the story. Understanding the situation, Ban chooses to go to sleep and take the rest that he said he needs, while Achlys in the bathroom cleaning and relaxing her body after a long day trip and gets to sleep after she’s done with all of that. Early in the morning, someone knocked hard on the door and called out Achlys’s name several times. That wakes her up and she notices that it’s time for her to go and deal with the sea creature, so she shouts and tells that person to wait while Achlys prepares herself and gets ready.
On the other hand, Ban is still sleeping thighs so Achlys decided to just leave him be and go do this business without him. As Achlys gets out her room door, the guy that she met at the restaurant is already there telling her that now will be the perfect time to go if she wants to do her job today. Achlys follows that guy and they arrive at the place where the group of sea creatures usually appear. They wait patiently for them and when they do appear, Achlys strikes them one by one, all 9 in total leaving their body floating on the sea with no one surviving her strike. What a big group compared to the last time she took the same kind of job. Well, she finishes her job and she receives her payment surprisingly with some bonuses given to her. She talks to that guy and demands one extra night for her and her companion to rest in the inn and after that she gets back to the inn going to continue her sleep since she gets one extra night to enjoy the luxury inn provided by her client.
