Overall: Unlike most Minstrelians, Kurou's skin tone is dark brown. No doubt the work of his absent father, whomever he may be, considering Kurou's mother is as pale as snow. Likewise, he is the culprit behind Kurou's outrageous height, who stands at six foot four. Kurou's body is beyond the scope of ordinary, so to speak, which he believes is a testament to all the hard work and effort he puts into himself. One of the few things Kurou prides himself on receiving as a way to depreciate his father are scars. Noticeably, the easiest ones to spot are on the side of Kurou's left cheek and his right hand.

Kurou's hair treatment is pretty routine. He prefers to have a temple fade with roughly two to three inches of hair left on top. Then, he'll sometimes slap on some leave-in conditioner or add some water to get that shiny look. It helps make Kurou's fuschia-colored eyes pop.

A typical outfit for Kurou would consist of a button-down or collared shirt, solid or striped, with a matching pair of pants. A comfortable pair of dress shoes that matches the overall look he was going for. And to top it off, a bunch of shiny jewelry followed with some cologne.

Personality:
  • Confident:
    Kurou was a timid kid growing up, the kind of person who let others walk over him to keep the peace. A byproduct of his environment and a system he would grow to loathe, although he did not realize it at the time. That unchecked would fester into a burning rage contributing to the person Kurou is today. Kurou’s circumstances and experiences brought about his newfound confidence, for better or worse. He can recall times when his conviction, paired off with his slick mouth, has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion.

    Naturally, this translates to Kurou coming off as cocky, which is the intended effect. His days of following orders are far beyond him now; never again would he let the insecurity of another influence his view of himself. His old self would hardly recognize the man he has become.

  • Manipulative:
    It's no surprise that Kurou has manipulative tendencies, as most Minstrelians do. For as long as he could remember, whether lying, deceiving, or gaslighting, he did what he had to do to get by. And although this lifestyle was not optimal, it did teach Kurou a valuable life lesson; only you have your back at the end of the day.


Likes:
  • Bling: Any article of clothing or jewelry of noticeable value is of interest to Kurou. The shinier, the better.
  • Sadist: Undoubtedly, a part of Kurou derives pleasure from seeing his enemies suffer.

Dislikes:
  • Racism: Kurou does not support nor tolerate prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person based on their racial or ethnic group.
  • Nobles: More often than not, noblemen are vile, crude individuals - people who perpetuate racism unequivocally. Kurou has more hatred toward them.

Motivations:
  • Fool The Masses: Within the next ten years, Kurou envisions himself in a position of power. He aims to obtain vast wealth and immeasurable power by outwitting and deceiving his enemies.

Fears:
  • Father: Kurou fears getting into a confrontation with his father, although they haven't met. He's scared of what he might do out of a fit of rage and even more afraid of addressing his underlying issues.
  • Mother: Similar to when he was a kid, Kuro fears the manifestation of his mother's anger.

Magic Description: Kurou utilizes the earth around him for combat, allowing him a great deal of flexibility when using his magic. He is capable of self-buff, offensive, and supplementary spells revolving around the earth and its processes.

History



History: Kurou is the youngest of his eight brothers. Each of them had a different father, including Kurou himself. His mother was, among other things, an opportunist searching for a way out of her predicament. Her gambling habits had gotten out of hand, and she owed some powerful people money. There was no way she could pay off the debt she had accumulated. Desperate, she turned to "the game" for help.

"The game" brought out the worse sides of his mother. At first, she was ecstatic about collecting enough money to pay off her pursuers. Not to mention, she did it in no time. Kurou's mother saw this as an opportunity to make some serious cash. Gradually, she stopped showing up for work and devoting more of her time to "the game." Her overzealous behavior made it difficult for anyone to talk to her. Eventually, she had grown colder and short-spoken - even towards her children.

Rarely did his mother have a bad game, but when she did, she made it everyone's problem. Suddenly, the smallest of inconveniences became the biggest concern in the house; this usually ended with an ass-whooping. Sometimes, she would throw objects or cry hysterically on the ground. Every so often, when Kurou's mother was at her lowest, she would try drowning her sorrows with liquor. She always managed to go on some tangent about Kurou and his brothers' fathers when buzzed.

Be that as it may, she never revealed too much. Most of the conversation was Kurou's mother rambling on about blame and things of that nature. Take, for example, the time she openly admitted to the family how she hoped they'd all die so more noblemen would take an interest in her. She only spoke of their fathers in a more general sense.
