With more time, if, Alisa was going to get enough time and interaction with Jikan. She would soon learn that Jikan was very much of the logic thinking or straight to it type of person. And her mind and personality was similar to this. She could joke…even crack a good one out as well. But, when dealing with a mission situation, a fight, or the immediate aftermath of a fight in which she was attempting to handle an issue. Well, she just kinda glossed over any jokes. She was not a stick in the mud or dumb, far from it. But….sometimes her way of thinking made her miss people’s jokes. Especially if she did not know them and were unfamiliar.
With a slight shift of her eyes Jikan had seen  the grow crook on Alisa's face. At Alisa’ chime back at her though, Jikan did have a thought though. Yep….that was a joke.
If only what they were going through right now could be seen as humorous…. Half of the ship destroyed, the other half strained by the weight of trying to still function properly. Dead fishermen, and a body of a giant dead sea leviathan behind the ship as it strained and pushed forward to transport the catch. And now…waves upon waves were on them. Never ending in their crashing menacing dance as they slammed down and seemed to just pick itself back up and do it again. Not losing its momentum, its power, its wrath.
Thankfully the water was warm, there was no bone chilling wetness that came to Jikan as she felt her body become soaked. Hopefully it would aid the others as well as they were swallowed by the water crashing from above. No time to counter, only time to brace oneself. For the ones that were lucky.
Jikan was not much of a swimmer, but she did like to think that she had a strong core and powerful legs. Still, the crashing waves were still a bit much to deal with, especially with trying to hold on and down someone to protect them. Her height smaller than her companion in this event, Jikan’s clothes soaked and clung to her frame as her muscles tightened, tensed, and pulled and released. She did not say it out loud, nor did she think if she tried it would be heard over the noise. But, she was thinking that she was thankful that Alisa had used her crystal chains. With Jikan strength holding stuff down and with Alisa’s magic it seemed that they were going to make it out of this unexpected visit from mother nature.
Now if the ship could too…
“Good going”, Jikan spoke when she caught the sight of the black haired enchantress claw and step her way back onto the ship. It was calm….for a few seconds. After Jikan spoke she heard a gasp as Alisa looked back, towards where the fish carcass was. Has it been lost?
No…it seemed that another sea beast was here. Had it been responsible for the darkened sky and the roaring waves?? Either way, with the sight of the beast’s fin in front of them. They had to deal with it near them and possible in the way, if not aggressive. She spoke in response to Alisa’s first words. “Hmmm…it seems it liked the smell of its friend over there”, she wondered if this was the case or just a case of circumstances. Still the smell of flesh and blood in the water was a likely factor. Which case did not matter as Jikan got back onto the ship. A few fishermen were being carried in her arms and on her back. Just as a bone  shattering, water shaking roar was ringing through the air. Jikan put the tired and unconscious bodies down as she turned to the path that she had heard the roar come from. She saw nothing, nothing above water that is. The dang beast just swam in a circle, menacingly! As if it was playing a game…waiting.
Jikan refused to be anyone’s prey or plaything.
More of the fishermen crawled and clawed their bodies back onto the boat as Alisa yelled, saying she would draw its attention. Crystallized wings once again coming out of her bag as she took to the air. The beast slowly moved, trying to get the fishermen but failed as they quickly got out of the water. Either by their own efforts or by Jikan pulling them out before it was too late. A bit rough with their bodies slamming onto the ship, it was better than being dead though. Jikan stayed on the ship ready to guard any straggling crew members or to give out long range support. That was not going to be needed though. As the lanky beast popped its head out of the water in a roaring attempt to swallow the flying voluptuous black haired warrior. Alisa opened her mouth as well, quickly forming a magic circle in front of her mouth. Letting a blast out that shook the very air as it moved. Whirling, twirling, spiraling  a storm of diamonds forward, slashing, dicing, and shredding the creature's mouth. Breaking through the back of its head before making the rest of it minced meat.
Surprisingly the dang thing was not dead. But it was not done. Jikan could feel it move within the waves.
….IT WAS COMING FOR THE SHIP.
The beast roar as it lunged out of the water, flying into and traveling down to the shield. Jikan immediately turned to face the beast as it hovered into the air. Â She jumped off of the ship, headed directly towards the beast. She extended her right hand forward above her, forward at the beast. Opening her hand before clenching. A 8 meter diameter brown magic circle created in front of her as well as under her, the exit path of the circle facing away towards the beast. In an instant, brown pieces of earth are formed, large pieces of rock before the rocks dense and change color into a magic substance. Shooting forward in a wide beam. The beam would travel and strike smacking into the sea beast. Jikan let out a warrior’s roar as she casts her spell.
