It all began after Fairy Tail had successfully repelled the bandit threat that had lurked within Magnolia. With her membership to the guild now officially revealed Esperia felt the need to start working more openly on her plans to support the guild. While it was true that they had a small core and only a handful of strong individuals, there was also the concern of funds and so Esperia had started to consider a proper course of action to propose to Judith. She knew the woman was an excellent creator of wines and other delicacies, and that on its own had been one of the key points in Esperia's plan to organize something.

Of course, there was also the fact that in the summer season the annual beach festivities at Hargeon that were organized by Blue Pegasus would take place at first, so it was understandable that it was an idea she was slowly working toward.

The other idea was one that was a bit more peculiar. It was for that reason she had called upon an old friend of hers, to get his opinion on the idea and to invite him to participate should he be interested. It was also for that reason she had the old tome in her hands, and was busily reading it currently.

However, Esperia was not reading on a bench today, far from it actually. She was seated on her majestic throne that was hovering lightly above the ground underneath the shade of a tree. One page was flipped after the other as she mused softly about the contents of the book.

"It makes sense that there were such ritualistic practices, but to think one could combine dance and performance into martial arts is fascinating in its own way."

It was that which had led Esperia to create an idea that would soon bring forth a potential event for Fairy Tail to hold. A festival of sorts to draw in both visitors and potential recruits alike. And yet the slime girl couldn't help but feel somewhat uncertain.

It was clear that her concern was easy to note on her expression, for Silas the exceed hopped back and forth in front of her. "No need to worry master! I am certain that the idea will be well received. There aren't that many who would think of turning the art of testing one's mettle into a stylish performance to draw the interest of crowds. To fight not simply in order to beat your opponent, but to win over the audience with an extravagant display of prowess is something only you could possibly think of!"

Yet Esperia chuckled softly at Silas his words, shaking her head lightly in response. "The idea was actually done in past civilizations Silas. There they used such performances as rituals to appease the gods."

Turning her gaze away from the Exceed she looked up at the sky, idly musing about how she hoped that Manzo would be just as interested.
