With the report coming across her desk that a new gang; a much more violent group had taken up residence in Era wasn’t exactly the most pleasing information that she could come into. She’d look through the information and furrow her brow a bit. They had taken over each of the areas that Lucretia had blasted through previously. Making huge gains in a short amount of time. No thanks to the fact that the rune knights were busy trying to make things safer across Fiore.

With benimaru ‘sleeping’ on his personal resting locale Lucretia had no choice but to hoist permafrost up and strap it to her back. She still lacked armor for the most part but something told her soon that would change. She’d step out of her office to find that her captains had been just about to come and see her. Both of them looking surprised and she’d give them a small wave with a hand.

Going to go take care of those gangs. When I’ve cleared them out we’re going to establish garrisons in each building to avoid this sort of shit later.

Even a small garrison would reinforce the presence that they needed in each location; she didn’t wait for her captain's responses. They knew what they needed to do in regards to this. She’d hurry along and upon getting to a window would push it open. She could see the buildings off in the distance and decided to tackle them one at a time. She didn’t care if they had prepared for her or not. They’d get put to the sword all the same for what they were doing to the communities around it…

The first gang house was one she was familiar with; the building still hadn’t been entirely repaired since her last visit. She could see the frame of the door had been replaced but rather than an iron or even steel door it was just a wooden one. Meant to keep out drafts and probably to dissuade individuals from peeping. She’d step up to it and give it a hearty knock.

The slide on the door would open up; the person behind it would balk for a second before lucretia kicked down the door sending them tumbling backwards with said door and she’d step inside. Raising a brow as she could hear some people let loose some crossbow bolts. They weren’t the fastest and she’d step to the side of the door letting them wizz on by. Rolling her eyes she’d lunge forward, grasping the heads of the individuals that thought to attack her and slam them into the ground knocking them out cold.

She wasn’t going to kill anyone in this one; none of them were really a threat and they could use them to fix the issues around here rather than adding to them with some proper guidance. She had to guess that these folks were lower on the totem pole. Not even the sort you would put to a blade. It was likely; at least in her opinion that these people were forced into this lifestyle by the ones that were responsible for the gangs.

It took her a better part of an hour to clear the entire first building; about thirty or so non mage and two mages neatly tied up on the first floor by the time her captains arrived with their escorts. She’d give them a wave and head off to the second building; she had some ideas for this next one…

That hour had been enough for some alarms to be raised and lucretia could feel the amount of magical energy in this next building that she was to clear out. Staring up at it she’d raise a brow and wonder just how long they had been here really. It felt like they had been setting up stuff for quite some time and honestly that was kind of amusing to her in a way. Shrugging her shoulders and starting forward she was surprised to find a few fireballs launched her way from the windows.

She deftly avoided them and noted that they simply hit the pavement and fizzled out rather than exploding. So these gang members knew better than to cause collateral? This meant that they knew if they lost it’d look better on them. Sprinting forward she wasted no time kicking the door in with both feet. Sliding with it and taking down a few people that had posted up behind it. A poor choice honestly given her style of entry.

Sliding to a halt she heard a few groans underneath her and the wild looks of a few people around her. Taking her sword out she’d make a wide sweep with the flat of the blade; giving people hearty bonks to their heads or launching them away with a powerful slam. She knew that she’d break a few bones but they’d live to see another day. The mages here were a little less cooperative and she’d find that a few of them were less hearty than the others she had dealt with previously.

At the end she had captured around the same amount of people, gritting her teeth as she noted the lifeless bodies of a few mages she rather would have liked to keep. Shaking her head she’d make sure that they’d get the proper rites later. For now the final gang hideout was left. Which was bound to be a doozy…

Lucretia wasn’t surprised to see that in spite of everything that the last gang base was in fact really ready for her. There were guards out front with polearms, some individuals in the nearby windows and a single man that gave her the vibe that he was there to try to stop her in a one on one duel. As she approached she could hear him say something but with an eyeroll the woman drew her sword and the group seemed to immediately get flustered.

She wasn’t going to be written or paid off; adjusting her stance she’d brace herself and then leap forward. The two guards with the polearms were the ones that ran to meet her but with a single swipe of her sword they were taken out; not killed since she had uses for everyone here. The only one that wouldn’t be walking away was the ‘leader’ that had come to try to dissuade her from these actions.

He wasn’t anything to really write home about; a fat pig with the idea that he could rule the underground. He wasn’t even a proper fight falling over backwards; a porkish fellow with a look of disdain prominently on his face even as his head fell off of his shoulders. She’d stare down at rapidly stiffening body and glance around. The few folks he had paid to witness her allowing herself to be ‘bought’ quickly ran.

She wasn’t the sort you could just pay to ignore injustice or people being harmed. She’d sheath her sword and roll her eyes a little bit as she could tell that there were a few people here that would rather she not be. Her knights had finally caught up to her and she’d motion to the house she hadn’t cleared yet.

Bout twenty in there but I bet they won’t even give a fight given what just happened to their ‘leader’.

She wasn’t wrong.
