Name: Legacy of the Nine Difficulty: Long Participants: Esperia Story: The history of Nebuchad is a bloody one, a tale of tragedy, betrayal and curses. However, it is also the place where the origins of Vampirism can be found. After a meeting with a mysterious merchant who was in possession of a vial of an ancient being's blood, Esperia has unknowingly got herself involved in a tale long thought to had ended already. After spending two years under the tutorship of one of the surviving Nine of Nebuchad Esperia has been given a lot to ponder about: Having accepted her newfound existence as a vampire, and mastered the power of her Precursor form, the young lady understood that the existence of vampires is commonly shunned on Earthland, partly due to superstition but also because of the current nature of vampire society: Too many act recklessly, thinking themselves superior to all other races and act with such savagery that the term vampire is often associated with a monstrous blood-sucking abomination, while they are so much more... Having spend time pondering a solution, Esperia has come to acknowledge that the only way to improve things is to approach the problem at its core. However, it is a problem where numbers prove to be advantageous, especially when one can be certain that those turned do not break their allegiance. After all loyalty will be an important factor in ensuring she'd survive the intrigues of the vampire households, and fortunately it would happen that Esperia's first childe would make for a perfect ally... Objective: After her training under the tutorship of one of the surviving Nine of Nebuchad that had gone into hiding Esperia, during her trip back homeward to Fiore alongside her lover Valerie encounters a most curious event: A group of mercenaries were on the brink of murdering a young noblewoman, despite the former's timely intervention, the noblewoman is drawing her last breath, cursing her fate and wishing she could have at least learned who wanted her death, and for what reason. Feeling oddly drawn in by the noblewoman's desire for truth and justice, Esperia offers the dying woman a choice: become a vampire and discover the truth, or die and carry her regrets into the grave. With the noblewoman accepting Esperia's offer, a tale of intrigue and mystery awaits her! |
Name: The Embrace Rank: A Type: Bad Participants: Esperia Summary: On her way back to Fiore Esperia and Valerie stumble onto an ambushed transport carrying a noblewoman. Despite Esperia and Valerie's interference, aid for the victim came too late and she is on the brink of dying, when Esperia offers to turn her into a vampire so that she can discover the reason behind her assassination, the young noblewoman accept the decision, leading to Esperia to turn the young lady into her progeny. Name: You don't turn your back onto family Rank: A Type: Bad Participants: Esperia Summary: An early investigation into the matter of the noblewoman's assassination shows that surprisingly enough the source of her death is much closer at home than expected: The hit seemingly was requested by someone within the same city the noblewoman came from. Name: Revenge is a bitter-sweet drink Rank: A Type: Bad Participants: Esperia Summary: After an informant revealed that it was Elise's own sister who ordered the assassination of her sister, Elise is adamant in discovering why her sister had done something so outrageous. However, as expected the reunion is all but pleasant as her sister reveals how she had overheard her father desiring to name Elise his successor. Furious that her sister's reasons were purely out of selfishness and greed, the young lady starts to succumb to her blood rage, showing signs of her turning into a vampire. A scream and the poor girl is labeled a vampire, prevent the guards from harming Elise while she deals with her sister. Others: Elise Enemies:

Name: Blood Bond Rank: A Type: Good Participants: Esperia Summary: The tale takes a turn for the worse when Elise's father appears amidst the commotion to find one daughter murdering the other. Fortunately Elise has snapped out of her rage and proceeds to reveal to her father the truth about her death. Despite her father's pleas to stay, that they might find a cure for the girl's vampirism Elise surprisingly enough declines, feeling she lost her place in their family after her actions just now. In the end, Elise's father pleas for Esperia to keep an eye on the young vampire, revealing that even if she has turned, her father still considers Elise his daughter. On the road to Fiore once more the group learns that Esperia plans to create her own vampire house in the hope of changing the society of vampires. Elise eagerly ends up pledging her loyalty to her sire in exchange for having kept her promise. Their leader declares they belong to one of the thirteen houses, and that rumors suggest Esperia might be a threat to them. Despite Esperia's efforts to prevent a conflict, the vampires clearly seem to be unwilling to walk away without their target slain... Show them a Precursor vampire is much more than just a threat! Name: Esperia of House Toreador Rank: S Type: Bad Participants: Esperia Summary: In the aftermath of the conflict Esperia realizes she has a golden opportunity in her hands: Showing her Precursor form, she declares herself a Successor to the Nine, a bearer of Cain's legacy and that from now on the thirteen houses should respect the traditions of old, lest they end up facing the wrath of her house. When one of the vampires hesitatingly asks what house she is talking about, the Precursor Vampire responds with a clever trick: She is Esperia of House Toreador, the house her mentor used to lead before the fall of Nebuchad.
