Eteri
As the boat pulling up to the docks of Minstrel, the young elf was standing at the front of the ship with her eyes closed and wind blowing in her free flowing hair. Taking in a deep breath, the salty sea air filled her nose and the chatter of the busy docks below her began to increase in volume as the boat drew closer. Leaving Fiore was a difficult choice, but she knew it would only be the first of many. There were countries begging to be explored and discovered by the wood elf, who had been sheltered from people and different cultures.

The sun was beginning to set over the horizon as the boat docked and began to unload all the passengers, Eteri included. The young woman floated off the dock, her footsteps as light as a bunny, as she walked around in excitement. The city was enormous and the lights of various colors filled her eyesight. There were blues, reds, greens, purples, and whites of all shades on the buildings, clothing, and people. The sorcerer was drinking in the sites of the city as she turned around in a complete 360 degrees. The lights danced through the city and along the pathways like fairies in the night.

Even with the intention of exploring the city, there was a path that lead outside of the city. The wood elf couldn't help her curiosity as she started to walk down the dimly lit path. Naively unaware of her surroundings, she stepped outside the gate and heard a faint melody. She froze for a second and listened. Straining to hear the melody, it was soft and reminded her of the sounds from home, the enchanted forest.

Glancing back into the city, her chest tightened as the desire to run straight to the forest strengthened by the seconds. This happened at every new forest. Eteri could feel her natural attraction to any forest. The wind intertwining between each branch, the call of each animal, and the whisper of nature's touch. It called her.

The sorcerer found her feet moving without realizing. She had already made up her mind. The lights of the city faded in the distance behind her as the elf stepped into the darkening day that guided her towards the forest. She wasn't sure what she would discover in the forest, but something was telling her to come.

By the time Eteri reached the entrance of the forest, the sky had begun to fall into darkness. Gathering a few dry sticks and logs fallen from dead trees, she created a small fire  to light the night.

It was a gentle and peaceful motion in this place; the song of the world that was kept here was something out of a story book. He could feel it in the walls, the streets, the people. The trees. Everything that was here told a story to him. Overwhelming in such a manner that the had to step away from the song of the cities, the people and return to a more quiet area.

The forest outside of the vaunted cities and towns was a more peaceful yet somehow invigorating place. It was somewhere that had grown for so long that it told a song and spun music greater than that of the cities that lay outside it’s touch. While he wasn’t attracted to the forest by any means given his nature was more in touch of the words of the greater beyond.

He could in fact sing with the music of the forest; a soft and gentle melody that danced with the rising moon. His gentle melody swept through the forest as he decided to take a seat in the midst of a clearing. A large rock being his choice of a seat. Making him stand out among the greens, browns, greys and such of the forest. The trees swayed with his reinvention of their song.

He told them the tale of his own emotions, his own music he shared to the forest. Let it know his strifes and struggles of a new land. But invited it to do the same to him; let him listen to the suffering and wills. It was a surprisingly uplifting tune for there was actually very little struggle in his story.

It was full of love.

Full of life, vigor, it was full of emotion that cared more for the world that in had ever received before. There was no hate, no anger, no negativity of any kind. It sang the night away and gently caressed the wind. Carrying his song further and further through the night.

Tickling the stars, gracing the clouds. His song practically encompassing and pulling that of the forest along with him. Like a baited breath the wind would stop moving as even it wanted to listen to him longer than it could. The birds grew silent as he continued, the night life waited.

There was a gentle gentle creature here who knew nothing of the struggles of the land and wished for everyone to share the love he felt. The love he felt of this earth and the love he felt for another; that even though he had met them only briefly his heart swelled for a thousand times over.

The sound of crackling fire filled the air as Eteri stared into the dark sky. The melody coming from the forest continued to softly play as the moon started to rise through the sky. The song kept the young elf from sleeping as it echoed through her mind. With heavy eyes, she sighed in annoyance as she knew sleep would not come tonight. Rustling her hands through her hair, she sat up and stared into the forest. "I might as well continue. That melody is going to keep me up all tonight." The young elf muttered to herself with her hoarse voice. She grabbed her bag and doused the fire with the water she had.

Shuffling the pack across her body, the sorcerer started walking into the dark forest. Tuning into her natural and trained elf traits, her body adapted to the dark and woody terrain. The roots of trees disappeared from her path as she silently moved through the forest. As she wandered through the dense trees, she blindly followed the melody of the night. As the song started to grow louder, she could feel the emotions portrayed through it. The feeling of love and vigor poured over her body. The sensation lightened her body and encouraged her to keep walking.

After endlessly roaming, Eteri felt the trees start to thin as she approached a clearing in the middle of the forest. With a rock in the middle, her eyes widened as she sees someone sitting on it. "You are the source of the melody.." The young elf said breathlessly as she took in the sight of the person in front of her. If it was a person at all, as Eteri soon realized it was tall being, almost doubled her height, with a yellow muscular body. She'd never seen anything like it before.

Curiosity got the best of her as she slowly moved out of the trees and into the clearing before her. She didn't sense any hostility from the creature, but cautiously watched their movements. It was odd for anyone to be out here in the forest so late at night.

His gentle song tugged at the land around him, speaking volumes to it and slowly pulling everything in towards him. There were birds of the night that sat about him; deer and wolves sat next to one another, some sleeping in knowledge of peace and others quietly enjoying what this being of gold had to say to them. What dance the land made while he was working with them.

His motions, his song, his music. Every little thing poured out of him, time and time again. It was like a breathless song that carried throughout the world that would never cease and he was just simply the tireless translator for it. Eventually he was gifted with the sensation of another being. One unlike those that lay near him. His golden eyes slowly cracked and he’d turn his head slightly to see who had arrived.

A stunning individual; petite in stature compared to him but who wasn’t? He could see their eyes widen; saying something he didn’t entirely understand. Cocking his head to the side; his song not quite ceasing but it eased in tune. A more relaxed nature if there ever was one. The few deer that were awake may have bolted if she was a human but given that she was a wood elf they seemed a bit more comfortable.

There was no hostility, no hate, no malice, no nothing. He was as pure as fresh laden snow. No tracks, not even the breath of a bird on his body. The golden demi-god slowly raised a hand; much like that one being from elsewhere and gave a ‘small’ but gentle wave that turned into a motion to welcome the other here.

Adjusting in his seat he’d turn himself towards the new guest, the song still dancing from his lips and the music of the land hard pressed to stop playing at all. It turned curious and his head tilted to the other side. Golden eyes sizing her up and his ever present smile widening a bit.

Friendly, singing, listening to the music of the land. Even surrounded by wildlife. What sort of being may he be if not one of peace?
