His hair is dark brown, almost black in colour and Yuno’s eyes are a beautiful, light grey. He has pale skin with a peachy undertone, both of which are common traits among joyan high society, as well as a gentle smile that adds to his soft and youthful appearance. Yuno’s wardrobe is kept simple and he prefers the long, flowing gowns and kimonos of his homeland, usually in lighter colours such as white, baby blue and cream. He wears no jewellery and keeps his knee-length hair tied up in a partial bun or loose ponytail. Extra: – PERSONALITY Personality: Zhāng Yuno is a kind and agreeable person and equipped with plenty of patience and altruism. He is sweet to both his neighbours and complete strangers and doesn’t discriminate – ever. Yuno is often described as pleasant to be around, incredibly helpful and laid back. In fact, it’s quite difficult to make him lose his composure as he is known for keeping a cool head even in the trickiest of situations. But Yuno is also naive, gullible and innocent, often choosing to see the best in people despite his better judgement. He is easily lied to, not because he doesn’t expect it but because wants to see beyond a person’s façade – even if it means being taken advantage of. Yuno is an empath and easily affected by the emotions of others. Because of this, his compassion often exceeds reasonable limits and he tends to burden himself with the problems of others. He’s very emotionally intelligent, with a tendency to become especially shrewd and unhinged in extremely stressful and/or deadly situations, although he’s also often held back by what appears to be a recently developed anxiety disorder. He's able to collect, summon, control and shape the element of light to his desires. As a Paladin Yuno is specialized in utilizing his light magic to use advanced healing spells. The element of light has a natural weakness to the element of nature and in return is strong against darkness. HISTORY History: Yuno grew up in a sheltered environment, enjoying the many privileges of an upper class life from a young age. His father was a Joyan lord and his mother the daughter of a wealthy travelling merchant from Sin. Together, they hid Yuno from the dark influences of the outside world and raised their soft-hearted child with love and affection. Yuno grew up spoiled, but not ungrateful and spent the majority of his life in peace that was fiercely protected by parents who deeply adored their only son. His gift for magic would later change the course of his life and when Yuno turned 17 he decided he wanted to see beyond the walls of his family’s lavish estate and announced that he would travel to see the world. At that time he had been taking lessons with plenty of teachers, some of which were spiritual and others which were monks – and considered himself to be knowledgeable enough for such an adventure. His parents, albeit hesitant, didn’t find it in themselves to decline him even one wish and thus afforded him the opportunity to travel anywhere and everywhere with the comfort of their money. Yuno started out as a rather naive adult, but quickly learned that there lay deep shadows over the lives of many and that people less fortunate than him existed in masses. Eager to help and equipped with plenty of coin and decent healing magic, Yuno (who’d become a respectable Paladin by the age of 18) went on his merry way and travelled across Joya, Sin and further down Earthland until he arrived in Fiore. On his way there he’d gotten robbed more than once, his kind-hearted nature and naive outlook on life making him an easy target for bandits and other mean folk and while these things did serve as a valuable life lesson to him, Yuno – who’d understood by then that life was more than acquiring money and living in luxury like he had in the past – was happy all the same.
