Details

Description: Excalibur is a 1,2m long sword with a pale golden hue to its blade, with a blue hilt and a golden crossguard. The blade is inscribed with Fairy Letters, evidencing its supernatural origin.

History: The most famous Caelese myth tells of a great king who forged the modern nation of Caelum, forming the state from which it descends. Crowned King of Caelum at a young age after pulling the sword of selection from its stone, he went on to gather the greatest Knights from all across the land and bring them to sit at his court. Later on he'd acquire the Sacred Sword Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake, a gift from the Fae which is said to draw mana from the planet itself, and lend it to its wielder. After a life filled with is glories and betrayals that left the King at death's door, he had the sword returned to the lake from which he had recieved it, and only then was he able to pass on.

Effects

Mana blade: When dealing damage, the user can choose whether to deal magical damage instead of physical, causing the blade to light up.
Avalon: Excalibur's scabbard is almost as famous as the blade itself, with its powerful mana providing partial immortality to the wielder, slowing their aging and recovering injuries. This recovers B-rank damage per turn, prioritizing life threatening wounds.
Blackened: Excalibur soaks up mana from its surroundings, starting with the a user themselves, and if the user is malicious in nature, the sword becomes tainted. This changes its colour and spells to black and the element to Darkness if the user's infamy is more than twice their fame and renames the sword and its signature spell to Excalibur Morgan.

Effect: The user enshrouds the blade with a magical coating that bends the light around it, applying invisibility to the sword and making it impossible to identify the weapon or gauge its full length. However, this magical coating also prevents the user from applying anti sensory passives to it. The invisibility coating is also temporarily lifted when the user deals magic damage with the sword or casts spells through it.

Effect: The user discharges some of the mana stored in the blade. This overcharges all magic damage dealt by Excalibur and the user's spells if they're a mage, or all of the user's item spells if they're an Adventurer, this effect lasts for a single turn.

Effect: The user cries out the name of the sword and summons its full power with a devastating swing, firing a powerful beam of light that spreads out in a cone, dealing damage to anybody caught in its path. The cone spreads up to 16 meters width at maximum range and deals S-rank damage. Colliding with objects and other spells doesn't reduce the damage of this spell. This spell cannot be nullified.
