DEMON SOUL: KAYVON, THE HAND OF CONTROL

Lore: Long ago, Kayvon was known the God of Deals, Order and Control, a minor, yet powerful deity back in the days of a long lost civilization in Earthland, a culture whose name is all but forgotten. Hailed as the deity responsible for good fortune in commerce, to whom contracts were written and carried out to honour, and was seen as one of the lesser Gods whom were credited for the world not descending into chaos. But that glory masks the twisted network of deals and contracts the God had made with the endless legions within the demonic Abyss, including a fateful contract made with the Demon King Bael. Believing himself and his deals infallible, Kayvon offered his eternal servitude to Bael and to the Abyss if the Demon King would fulfill his obligations - something all entities privy to the contract considered eternally impossible. Bael's success shattered Kayvon, the Abyss all but consuming the God as the demonic nature of the realm, combined with his own growing madness over his failed deal - twisted and ultimately corrupted the once proud God into a corrupt shell of his former self: A fallen, corrupted God now existing as a powerful, Godly Demon in his own right, showing his favor to those that present such unfavorable deals like that of what he had been subjected towards.

Extra

Drawbacks:
  • The user becomes obsessed with gaining the upper hand of whatever the situation may lend itself to be. If it is battle, they will do anything possible, to whatever desperate or underhanded methods they must, to achieve their respective win-condition. Otherwise, their actions will always suit to manipulating the situation best to their own circumstances, regardless of whomever else may be affected and to what degree being irrelevant. No matter the deal reached, the promise made, the user will always put themselves before anyone or anything else, no matter the reason or desire otherwise.

Restrictions:
  • The user must either train or purchase the spell listed below when they have unlocked the respective spell slot.
  • The user must be a summoner.
  • The user cannot get another element with this magic.
  • The magic takes up one enhancement slot. The user does not need to have the enhancement slots available at purchase. Should the user ever unlock their first enhancement slot, they will immediately be filled by this magic.

Resistance & Weakness:
  • Minor Darkness Resistance: The user receives a Minor Resistance versus Darkness. The resistance is replaced by a Moderate Resistance during the transformation.
  • Minor Light Weakness: The user receives a Minor Weakness versus Light. The weakness is replaced by a Moderate Weakness during the transformation.

Takeover Skills

  • Full Control: The user's controlling nature allows them to efficiently wield their summons. They may sustain a single Champion level summon for the base mana cost for its rank. The spell must be declared as "[Full Control]", and the mana cost can only be changed when the spell is cast. When Summoning in Full Control, the user may manipulate their summon with mental commands.

Akhenamkhanen's brother, Akhenaden was charged with creating the items, but Akhenaden refrained from informing his brother that in order to do so, 99 human sacrifices were required per item. A small village became the victim of the Pharaoh's unwitting decree, as Akhenaden had them slaughtered, their blood, bone, and flesh melted in with the gold that was cast in the mystic rite that formed the items.

HEAD

Name: The Red Queen's Crown

Slot: Helm

Type: Crown

Class: Legendary

Weight: Medium

Element: Darkness

Durability: 2x S-Rank

Description: A beautifully intricate golden crown, having an immediate appearance like that of a untamed plume. Upon further inspection reveals the extensive and otherwise remarkable craftsmanship applied towards such an ornamental piece. Each tendril, symmetrical in their dimensional design on either side of the crown, curve backwards with the skull, such that it conforms with the design philosophy of the crown that it rests upon the crown of the wearer's forehead and then begins to curve and conform to their head as it extends along, giving it an almost alien-like, if not slightly mystical appeal towards it. Centered within the center of the crown is an ornamental-like design, an elaborately detailed head of a serpent carved into it, which when combining the plumes that all extend out from it, give it an appearance almost like that of a dragon or horrid snake-like creature.

Lore: An artifact known throughout Marigold's more noble and elite circles, and more out of the notorious nature of its former owner, the Red Queen. This crown has become synonymous not only with the Red Queen herself, but also the horrid reputation that the oft-presumed warlock had built, whether through her open advocation and usage of slavery, human sacrifice, or her active engagement in occultist practices and ritual.

In her efforts to try to conduct the Pact of the Dead God, the Red Queen had sought out and helped orchestrate the kidnapping and selling of one Vyra Emrakul, intent on using her as a pawn of sorts to secure the Pact. However, her efforts were run awry due not only to Vyra, but by the betrayal of the Dead God's Broker, the Lady of Thorns. Through the efforts of the pair, the Red Queen were finally slain, ending a silent reign of misery that had lingered throughout Marigold. But her crown, the most precious of her possessions, were never found, having been taken by Vyra whom came to appreciate it, not only for its appearance, but with how well it conformed to her head alongside her goat horns.

Bonus:
  • +65 Speed

Effects

  • Walking Upon the Poor to Glory: One of the most noteworthy characteristics of the late Red Queen was her cold, if not callous disregard for the suffering of others. It was said that nothing would resonate with her, that little could impede or otherwise change her cruel outlook upon the world in pursuit of her goals.
    • Bonus Quest Experience Reward: While Vyra is wearing the Red Queen's Crown, much like how nothing would deter her from her goals, neither may they deter Vyra, granting her a 20% increase to Quest Experience.

  • Never Heed the Nobility's Spending: People had come to learn quick that the spending habits of the Red Queen were her own business and inquiries into them. Thus, whatever the Red Queen sought, the Red Queen got.
    • Bonus Quest Jewel Reward: Not unlike the Red Queen, Vyra benefits from the trade arrangements established by her Crown's predecessor. As such, she receives an additional 20% increase to Jewels rewarded upon Quest completion.

Name: Censer of Dragon's Blood

Slot: Relic

Type: Trinket

Class: Legendary

Weight: Medium

Element: Arcane

Durability: 2x S-Rank

Description: An ornate censer, having a unique appearance appearing more like that of a potion with an elaborate casing upon the vial's head. The Magically-crafted head serves as the only type of dispersal device capable of properly handling the precious liquid stored within the vial without risking impurifying it. The type of liquid that would demand such a precious and elaborate contraption? Dragon's Blood.

Lore: One of the few pure instances of the precious reagent that had been smuggled into Joya years ago, at some point it had managed to find its way into the hands of Aria Yserai. No doubt having been used as the collateral of one of the woman's ill-reputed one-sided contracts, it was not long before she had commissioned the creation of this specialty censer, allowing her to not only indulge in the aura of a scent that few would ever have the fortune of experiencing, but also enabling her to fully appreciate the alchemical effects that come with the indulgence of the blood of a former dragon.

Effects

  • Scent of Dragon's Blood: Focus: With just a small few droplets of blood stored within the vial, the Censor produces a powerful fragrance that overcharges the senses, heightening one's ability to process the world around them, and becoming acutely aware of their surroundings.
    • Quest Word Reduction: You receive a 20% word reduction on completing quests.

  • Scent of Dragon's Blood: Memory: With just a droplet of blood stored within the vial, the Censor produces a fragrance that lingers within the bearer, helping them to absorb the moment before them, retain that what was encountered more vividly, and meaningfully reflect upon it.
    • Bonus Quest Experience Reward: You receive an additional 10% experience when completing quests.
