Lumikki

Lumikki stepped through the door way to the training hall in the guild. After the encounter with her Guild Master in the library they agreed to show up around this time to spar. She's been nervous about it since the day before. Couldn't really even eat dinner because of her nerves and in the walk over she had been gripping her staff tightly. She didn't want to make a fool of herself. No matter the potential she had, she didn't want to come off like a dunce.

She sighed as she walked toward the end and found a spot to wait. Stretching so that at least she was limber. Yuurie was a fast one, she learned that the hard way. She suppose if she could land one spell on him before the day was done, she could leave happy. She slapped her face to get her focused as she settled on her goal. Something was better than nothing.

Yuurei

Yuurei had decided that he would spar with the new members of the guild. It would be beneficial to them and in the long run, they could use their experience fighting with people like him or Brone as knowledge in the future. He knew a war was coming soon, but it wasn’t just that. They had to always make sure that they were ready to protect the North. There were people who had done some weird things in the world, and one of them was an invasion that happened in the North not too long ago.

The Seraphim was making his way to the training dome, and Renji was with him. The young Exceed was only here to watch as he wasn’t going to get in the way. Yuurei only had two weapons with him today and it was his spears. He wasn’t going to use anything else in this fight, and he didn’t even have his armor or helmet on. His accessories were different as he didn’t really take those off.

He would enter the training dome and there he would see Lumikki preparing herself for the fight. She was here first and he could only smile as wondered what kind of fighting methods she had. Yuurei would walk over to her and when he got about fifteen meters he would stretch a bit before standing tall and looking at her.

“Alright, you can show me what you got Lumikki. Don’t hold back aim to kill.” He said to her as it would be one of the only chances she would have to hit him unless he made a mistake of his own.

Lumikki

Yuurei may claim he has been somewhat forgotten as of late, but between the stories her Uncle has told her and looking through her World's eyes, she felt overwhelmed. The fighting had not even begun, but she was sweating. Before the nerves could pester her anymore than it had the dark cold inside her chilled her. Washing over her worries and numbing her anxiety. A tendency she found to have as she faced more dangerous company, after all, you lose more when you lose your nerve. Her whole being iced over, and her usual lively self gone as she was preparing to take on the challenge before her.

Lumikki thought over her options. She knew her debuff spells would hardly scratch his massive pool. Though it was clear she had to go all out the best she can. This would be the first time she tried but what better time to practice and what better opponent to see.

She closed her eyes and pulled the dark and shadows of the room toward her. Warping them until they became her, until they were her wings. Lumikki had flown plenty in her life so far, but she never hung in the air with this form yet. She took to the sky shaky at first, since for once she was thinking about the act of flying, but she got used to it quick enough. Reaching upwards her limit of five meters. She flew so that she was just within ten meters of the Guild Master.

"I shall do my best...." Lumikki said in a bitter cold detached voice.

She held out her hand before her, some of the dark frost that made her wings pulled to her palm and begin to swirl. Slow at first until it picked up in speed, turning into a disk as it had and shooting at her opponent.

If her disk could land, it would do B rank damage.

Yuurei

Yuurei would watch to see what she would do. He wasn’t going to be the first to attack and honestly, if he did it would be unfair. He would just look at her and it would seem like she was going to take flight. That was good because he was pretty sure not a lot of people were able to fly. It was the perfect way to start a fight to gain an advantage and have a bunch of ways to dodge rather than the ones you would only have on the ground.

His feet dug into the ground as he was ready to make his move. Whatever his move would be had yet to be decided. Of course, he couldn’t do anything until Lumikki had done something right? That was when he saw a magic circle appear in front of her hand and a disk of ice and darkness would appear. His eyes widen as he was impressed.

This was beautiful, but it looked dangerous. He was going to have to be careful with this attack or it might come and bite him in the ass. He watched it as it would come straight for him, and he would jump into the air to dodge the attack. At the same time dodging the attack, he would no longer descend to the ground. His cape had stopped him from being vulnerable, so he could be able to dodge again in the air if he had to.

His battle with Lumikki was simple; he had to get close to her and it would be over if he decided to attack her. Another thing Lumikki would see was that her disk would disperse and it would make its way to Yuurei’s mouth. He would eat her spell as if he was a Slayer. Of course, that wasn’t the case and it was his fork that allowed him to do that.

His mana would be semi replenishing but his flight ability cost more. He would look at her with a smile on his face.

“Interesting spell. It seemed like a dangerous spell to get hit by. Keep going and always stay on the move, unless you’re a melee fighter.” He said to her waiting to see what she would do next.

His stance in the air was different than on the ground because it was different to be in the air than on the ground.

Lumikki

Lumikki was hardly surprised to see her Guild Master take to the sky in defiance for her attack. He made it known when she first met him in her attempts to escape. She at least thought the sky gave her slightly more leeway. As someone who fights melee would tend to be comfortable on the ground. Though her wings still felt new to her. She felt as if the sky was like a second home and so perhaps it was best to become reacquainted.

Stay on the move, he advised her. Lumikki thought much on is as she heeded his advise. Moving in the air to circle around him. Though she didn't want to be so hyper focused that she would let something slip pass her needlessly. She softened her gaze so that she could notice of all around her. It was the most she could do, she thought.

After a few rotations around Yuurei she finally rose and clasped her hand. A lavender magic circle appeared between them and a dark frost tendril quickly formed before attempting to slam into Yuurei.

Yuurei

Yuurei would look at her as he was wondering what she was going to do next. It would seem like she would start moving as he advised her to. He figured she would do this on her own, but he was trying to help her. He saw that she moving around him and he had a smile on his face. She was trying to confuse him and surprised him with where she would attack. That was a good tactic, but others might have attacked a while ago.

He, on the other hand, was trying to figure out how he would be able to catch off guard. He was using his weapons for close range, but at the same time, he figured that he would launch his spear at her and see how the game of cat and mouse would begin.

It was then he would feel her stop; the vibration of her would stop behind him and his necklace would kick in. He felt the shock on his neck from the danger approaching behind him. That was a smart way to attack. She was attacking where he couldn’t see, and he wasn’t sure what kind of attack was coming his way. He did know this and it was that he needed to get out of the way. Yuurei would shoot webs out of his wrist. It would latch onto the ground and he would pull himself.

It would bring him to the ground and the tendril would miss him. He would land on the ground as he turned to Lumikki with a smile on his face. He would bring himself to hover a little bit off the ground as he watched to see what she would do next.

“Nice tactic, it seems like you’re doing what needs to be done to try and win. Still, I too will do what I can to show you what you’re looking forward to becoming.” He said.

It was then he would pull his arm back, the one holding Gae Bolg, as he would look at Lumikki. It was then he would toss Gae Bolg straight at Lumikki. It would move at twenty meters per second and if it missed it would rotate around for Lumikki.

Yuurei was aiming for her leg, so he wouldn’t kill her as he wasn’t going for anything like a vital, but the impact was probably more than enough to knock her out if she were to be hit.

Lumikki

Just as her disk left her hand, Yuurei conjured a thread to pull him back to the ground. Lumikki sucked her teeth but she was hardly surprised. It was quite clever, not something she would of thought of. Though she was hardly afforded the time to admire his trick, not long after he touched the floor he pivoted with spear in hand.

As she saw him charge his attack, she didn't have much time to act. She doubted her speed even with her wings. Though something did come to mind.

Before Yuurei was finished charging his cast, Lumikki clasped her hand. A lavander circle formed on the ground to the side of her. Spawning black vines that quickly grabbed her in their bind. Her attempt wasn't perfect. The spear grazed her as it had passed by. Her leg already began to sting, but she wasn't given any time to recover. From the corner of her eye she saw the the spear turned. This made her panic even through her iced state. It was readying itself for the second turn as Lumikki charged her Bitter Frost Nebula to send it out once more; but the spear ate the hit and kept on its path to her.

It was then that she understood. The was no escape. She sighed deeply as she closed her eyes and accepted the pain to come. Coating her leg in dark frost to mitigate some of the pain. By the time she tried to take her next breathe the spear had struck. Knocking more than the wind out of her. Her shadow formed wings dispersing as she fell from the pain. She could barely attempt to utter any words of her displeasure to Yuurei. She knew that he was strong, there was never a question there. She suppose he never said he would go easy on her either. At least he never mentioned to wither her down.

It made her so upset and embarrassed to be done in with one attack. As she laid on the floor the shock of the damage was forcing her conciseness to also fade. "I will never forgive him," said the voice inside her head, their anger was boiling over into her and melting her inner ice. She clutched her hand scratching into the ground out of frustration before finally knocking out.

Lumikki blacked out.

Yuurei

Yuurei would launch his Gae Bolg at her and he wondered what she would do. He was hoping that she would run from the attack or at least dodge it. She attempted to do just that, and he would watch his spear miss but moved to attack her once again. It was then he would see that she wouldn’t move anymore. It would seem like she was accepting it. He didn’t want that, or at least he wanted to see her struggle a bit more. It was then he would watch her conjure an attack against his spear. She would damage it indeed, but she would stop it from its action.

He knew she would have to destroy the spear if she wanted any chance of that. It was then Gae Bolg would hit her on her leg, and she would lose focus on everything. He watched his Gae Bolg disappear from where Lumikki stood and back into his hand. He would nod as it would seem like she had a long way to go. Still, he knew that she would become stronger as time would continue forward. He would be there along with Brone to battle-hardened Lumikki.

Yuurei would sigh as he should have used this. Still, it was the only weapon he was using, but once again he overdid things. He would walk over to her as she would become unconscious on the ground. He looked at her and he figured that she would need training in taking hits. It didn’t look like she was a close-range fighter, so she needed a way to stay conscious while taking hits. He figured that Brone would have worked on her with that, but that wasn’t the case here. That was when he would kneel to her and pick her up.

“You did your best, hopefully, this defeat will urge you to become stronger.” He said to her.

Renji would look at them and he would walk to Yuurei. It would seem like he harmed another new person within the guild. Still, he figured they would learn from this. The next time they fought Yuurei they would be ready for him. The Seraphim would make sure that he didn’t leave anything behind and he would walk out of the training dome. His weapons had dispersed and had gotten back into their dimension for the next time they had to be used. His spears would need some repairing, which was something impossible for him to do.
