Yuurei and Renji kept moving around the place. It was a big cavern, and he was making sure that he would pick the most logical path for them to take. The Onis were all around as Yuurei could feel them. He couldn’t just attack the entire Cavern because then it might cause something much bigger to occur within the mountain.

The Onis figured it was time for them to step it up a notch. The Onis with the strongest fighting prowess and ability would start to show themselves. They were hidden in the darkness, but they figured that it was time to take these guys out. There were enough of them to be able to get out of here. They would dispose of Benimaru as well while they were at it.

It was then that they would make their moves. Four Onis would appear in front of Yuurei they would attack him simultaneously. Yuurei felt the danger coming from the four directions, and he would swing his Excalibur to try and slice one of them. It was then that Oni would dodge the attack coming for him as he knew where the blade would end.

The Seraphim was surprised about that, and he would see the other three would continue their assault. Migi would use his appendages to try and cut two of them, but they had conjured weapons to clash with Migi’s attack. The last one would end up right in front of Yuurei.

The requip mage would see this and he would smile. This was an impressive coordinated attack. He didn’t think giving them time would work and he would feel the hit land from the Oni. Yuurei would gasp for air as he would allow the impact of the blow to push him away from the four Onis. He would look at them as they all laughed and become one with darkness again.

“This is going to be great. Which of us gets to take over your body?” One of them said as it echoed throughout the Cavern.

Renji would look at Yuurei, but then he would turn back as one Oni would show up. It was then it would attack Renji. The Exceed would see this and the armor would react to the attack. The Oni knew this would happen, and he would create a barrier of darkness to defend himself from the armor’s magic. Renji would suck his teeth as he felt the impact of the blow this Oni had delivered to the armor. He would swing the Jeweled Sword Zelretch and pure light mana would come out as a slash. The Oni would go under and into the ground to avoid the attack as he was waiting for his next plan of attack.

“So, they were holding back on us?” He asked Yuurei.

Yuurei would look at Migi for a second.

“No, they were learning about us and how we fight. They didn’t attack us from the beginning because they knew nothing about us. Just like we know nothing about them.” He said to Migi as simple as he could explain.

The Onis everybody would fight would be smarter, stronger, and not something that can be taken out within one hit. The group would soon realize that there was a reason they were sealed away.

Kaito walks with Revy side by side as he sees the markings on the walls and the way the cavern looked and felt this place did not feel welcoming it felt as if their were eyes on them all along the dimly lit way. Kaito wondered if this place was natural or man made for something, was this something’s home before it was the oni’s new prison. Revy seemed to get keen to something getting closer and at the same time Kaito took the sword from her hand and stabs the ground with it and a screech bellowed from the spot he stabbed. "That one was cocky tried to come right up to us like we were blind to it." Kaito had only taken a lucky guess to try and hit that creature in the ground that had come to them and it paid off.

That only pissed off some others that hurried toward Kaito as feel and Kaito handed the sword back to Revy and readied his shield as they popped up from the ground and they did not look pleased to be facing Kaito but they really were not going to need to worry about that for long as Kaito’s shield met their faces and Revy used the sword to meet their chests. Kaito was usually a softer kinder man but here he can not afford to be lax in his choices of fighting and having to kill or heavily injure them. This place was one of blood shed and cruelty Kaito is not one to think light of the things that crawl and live in here as there was much he didn’t fully know or was not fully aware of so he needs to take only very small risks not bigger risks.

Revy seems like she was excited that Kaito hadn’t sent her away some how. "Do you think everyone will be okay?" Kaito didn’t know the answer but he simply nodded to the Exceed woman as he would if this all goes bad sacrifice himself to give the others another chance at this quest after they gained something to help them. Who knows maybe he would be able to survive here till they could get back to save him if he wasn’t taken over by then. Kaito refocused himself and he slammed his shield into the enemies that ran up at him and he tried not to think about it unless he really has to as this is not the time to be dragging yourself through the mud.

The oni that were fighting them seemed to stop and back up and Kaito looked to see a spider looking oni come down toward him and he raised his shield as this spider one was spitting some kind of venom or poison at them and he keeps Revy away from it coming in contact with her. Kaito needs to think of a way to fight this thing that didn’t risk Revy and make him move his shield but the pressure of this oni’s spitting of it was a bit strong and fairly concentrated on the shield so this was going to be a harder task.

With the recent wave of attacks, Brone Heavyaxe knew to be constantly vigilant. Gnicholas continued to review his notes regarding the adventure so far. One thing that bothered him was why exactly were a large amount of onis within this cavern where the secret Starlight power hid. Benimaru was lost in thought as he continued to float along side Brone in the back of the group. The silence between the three of them were more on focus rather than the difficulty of the venture; Brone trying to be perceptive, Gnicholas on his questions, and Benimaru on his worry concerning his own people.

Four oni had suddenly jumped out of the shadows to strike at Yuurei, while a handful seem to also attack Kaito. Brone then noticed something, the onis were focusing on the exceed instead. Brone quickly reached back to nudge Gnicholas safely back into his cowl right before reaching for the handle of his Spellcleaver. Just as he expected, an oni had suddenly appeared by him, but what he wasn't aware of was that the oni wasn't going after Gnicholas, but Benimaru. Shadowy claws reached out towards the floating shield as Brone launched himself forward, drawing his axe from his back and arcing it over his head. But he was a split second too late, the claws raked against the mask, cracking Benimaru's face. In the next second, the green axe was brought down upon the shadow-cloaked oni, cutting through the spell and bisecting the spirit and reducing him to ash.

"Beni! Are ye alright!?" Brone looked at the floating shield.

"I'm fine" Benimaru's voice sounded more than startled, but hurt; the four slices across his mask were deep. Brone sensed another oni was closing the distance, so he stepped in front of Benimaru, allowing the shield to slide beneath the white cloak, fastening himself to the dwarf's back, the safest to be.

This oni was dressed in a samurai's outfit, wielding a black katana, which was already in a swinging motion. Brone was already drawing forth his black axe, swinging it downward to counter the katana. However at the last second, the katana became intangible, phasing right through the black blade and at the moment it returned to it's solid form, it slammed into the dwarf's face. Fortunately, the blue helm prevented the katana from slicing his head off, but the force was enough to crack it. Brone swung his Spellcleaver which slammed into the oni's side, sending him flying backward.

The oni didn't fade to ash and Brone expected this since he didn't have enough time to gather enough force to deliver a devastating blow. Two more oni suddenly appeared, wearing similar samurai armor, positioning themselves around the dwarf, circling him. "I may need a bit of help here, Gnich" Brone whispered as he focused on his instinctual senses. Any slight move from any of the onis may prove fatal.

Gnicholas poked his head out of the cowl to get a good look of the situation and nodded. With Huginn and Muninn disliking caves, they remained outside as the group had entered. Now Gnicholas had to play along side the dwarf, but he wasn't too concerned, for he had developed several strategies that could work with the dwarf's fighting tactics.

Yuurei would look around to see where the Onis were going to be attacking them from next. There were a lot of them and it would seem like they would be here all day. The Seraphim would move slowly but make sure he was cautious with what he did. These Onis were looking to get them on any mistakes that they would do.

It was then they would strike, Yuurei figured this would happen and he was ready to defend. It was then that he would more of them appearing to attack them. He wouldn’t move from his spot, but it was to pretend that he didn’t know any better. It was then he would attack. One of the Onis didn’t listen to the plan, and Yuurei would wait for him to get close enough where he couldn’t dodge his invisible Excalibur. The Oni would feel the slicing of the weapon and the force behind the attack.

He would grunt and then scream from the pain as he would vanish from the blow. The Onis that saw this would shake their heads because that Oni never listened to what was said to him.

“That dumb ass got himself killed. Oh well, that is one less person that we have to fight for over these bodies.” One of the Onis said.

It was then the four that attacked Yuurei would appear again. This time they would launch a few different types of spells at him. He wasn’t sure what those spells could do, but there was one thing he knew was that there were too many for him to dodge in this space. He was going to have to do it and he hoped nothing bad happened when he did.

He would pick up Excalibur and swing it in a way that it didn’t get stuck within the walls of the cave.

“Excalibur!” He shouted as he would swing the sword, and a huge blast of light mana would be sent flying straight to the Onis that attack him.

It was then the cave would shake, and the spells that were in front of Yuurei’s spell would be taken out and sent flying to the Onis. Three out of the four would be able to react in time to avoid the spell, but it was then that Yuurei had taken out another Oni. They would shake their heads because they knew what they had to do.

The Onis would use a forbidden technique. It would boost their power and if they didn’t possess a body in time they would perish. It would allow them to take hits from Yuurei and possibly get what they needed.

Renji was looking around he could see that everyone was doing their best to make sure these Onis couldn’t win. He just wished they had let them be, but the Onis also had a goal they had been waiting to accomplish for a long time. It was then the Oni that had attacked him before would appear again. It would get ready to attack Renji from behind this time. The Exceed felt something, but he didn’t know what it was. When he turned around he would see the Oni, and it would connect with the Exceed. It would push him back, and he was glad that he was wearing Yuurei’s armor.

Still, the Oni would go back into darkness as it was planning its next attack on Renji. It knew that it had to watch out for that one attack that surrounded him, and it was why after every attack he would move away from him.

Kaito quickly put his hand around the shield and he fired a beam into the spider oni and he feels the pressure on the shield let up and the spider oni was just staring at him and she blinks as she held her neck where Kaito had hit her and she was pissed off as she couldn’t speak for now or spit more of what ever she had been spitting at him. Kaito threw Revy with the sword at the spider and she blocks threads thrown at her and keeps swinging the sword and the Spider oni backed up. Revy kicked off of the wall and gets a slash off and then returned to Kaito to hide from damage of the oni. Kaito keeps other oni’s off as the spider oni tried to regroup herself as she was pretty badly hurt and needed time to heal before she went back out there and she knows that Kaito isn’t going to really let her recover so she needs to be fast.

She was right the second she tried to withdraw Kaito was already on her ass looking to strike her down with his shield and he wasn't slowing down and he was able to teleport and cut her off as Revy jumped forward for him and slashed her front legs causing her to lose her grip and fall to the cavern floor and Kaito caught the woman before she fell to the ground with a loud thud like the spider oni had. Kaito sped at the woman as she tried to get up but that fall had busted her up good and this was the end and she was shield bashed knocking her out and she went limp to the ground but Kaito hadn't killed her on purpose as she might be useful to him later or that is what something inside of himself told him. Kaito looks to Revy who wondered why he didn't finish her off.

He shook his head and kept walking as more oni came at them and tried their luck but none of them seemed to understand that his goal wasn't them it was something deeper in that seemed to be calling him or the him inside of himself that Kaito couldn't shake the feeling. Kaito was just knocking most of them away and not looking at them and he wanted to make sure that Revy didn't get hurt either so he kept his shield keeping them both safe from the attacks while not taking his eyes off of the goal but Revy was clashing and taking on the oni's as they went as well and she wondered if Kaito was bewitched or something as he seemed to be looking through the oni to something else like he was being pulled along. Revy poked his side and Kaito looked to her and he rubbed the back of his head as he kept shield bashing people and he wondered what was going on here and why something else was calling to him like that relic back in Yuurei's home.

Kaito and Revy got back to doing team attacks he blocked while she slashed and helped to keep the team moving forward and he hoped that he could keep this up as he knows something is going on here but he is unsure to what it is or even to why it is happening to him. Kaito takes a deep breath and then unleashes arcane blasts from his mouth like a dragon firing balls of fire out in perfectly shaped balls which probably was not a normal thing to see in a normal natural world.

The three samurai oni encircled the dwarf as he revealed his secondary arms which drew forth two spears while his main hands held the two known axes. This didn't put off the samurai oni, for they were studying him and were more skilled then the fodder that were easily defeated prior to them.

It was a moment of silence between them all as the cave shook with the rumble and racket coming from the battle nearby. Yuurei calling out his blade's name while blinding light temporarily lit up the entire cavern, then causing the cave to rumble; debris falling all about them, but Brone and the three onis were still waiting for either one of them to make the first move. Then several blasts of fire, in the form of giant flaming spheres were launched and incinerated other onis. Said attack too had caused more debris to fall around them. Such dangers were nearby, but these samurai oni were ironclad in their nerves. The dwarf had to commend them.

The moment the onis ran forward from their spot to strike at the dwarf, Gnicholas the gnome had cast the Shroud of Shadows spell, conjuring forth a globe of darkness that swallowed them all; thankfully Yuurei's and Kaito's group weren't caught in it.

The samurai oni weren't able to see in the dark, but they didn't falter in their strike. They continued to close the gap. Brone had used his spears to strike at two of the incoming onis, keeping them at bay, while the third oni had his sword countered and destroyed by the black axe while simultaneously, Brone had struck the oni himself with the green axe, Spellcleaver.

The three oni weren't destroyed, but they pulled back, realizing that somehow, the dwarf was able to see in the dark, so they began to retreat in order to escape the darkness, but the dwarf wasn't allowing that. The oni who was struck by Jotun's Fang had slowed further, a bit of ice coated his legs. This allowed Brone to catch up to the samuari and strike him with the black axe, shattering his armor and reducing the body to ash. When the dwarf turned to face the other two, they had already escaped the globe of darkness.

The two remaining onis looked about and spotted one another; they assumed the third wasn't able to make it. Fighting in the globe was an advantage to the dwarf, so they waited until he left it. They had assumed the shorter being didn't have a range attack, knowing he had no magic of his own, but they were surprised when a golden spear shot out of the darkness and imbedded itself in one of the oni's neck, reducing him to ash too. The spear then bounced back and re-entered the darkness.

The remaining oni held his sword before him. If the spear was thrown again, he'll be ready to deflect it now that he was aware of it. But after a few seconds of nothing happening, he began to wonder what the dwarf was planning. There was suddenly a rumbling. It wasn't Yuurei or Kaito, for they had already taken care of the powerful oni that confronted them, so it had to be the dwarf, but the samurai oni couldn't figure out what was going on.

Suddenly, the ground beneath his feet opened up and the black axe of Dhuraindarin came up and cut the oni in half. Brone had used his axe to cause a fissure in the ground so he could travel through it. "Clever" Gnicholas complemented.

Yuurei would look at these Onis and it would seem like things were getting serious. He had a smirk on his face and he was fine with that. He wasn’t going to go all out on them, but he would make sure that he would give it his all. He wasn’t even in his base form, but for them he would show who he really was. It was then his hair would go from a shade of gray to white hair, his face showing more color than it did before and his wings coming out of his back.

This was his base form a form he had to hide from the world, so they wouldn’t feel the pressure of a being like him. The Onis would see this and they started laughing. It would seem like one of the bodies they were going to take had become a Seraphim. This was awesome as they thought about the powers they would have between an Oni and a Seraphim. It was then the three that had remained would attack.

They were faster than before, and it would seem like they were much more aggressive. The danger that came from different directions was quick. It was then he would avoid two of their attacks. He would weave to the right, and crouch for the second attack. As for the third attack, he had used Migi to block it as he would have a smirk on his face.

“I love a good fight, but you guys need to let us pass. We don’t get time for you; there are bigger fish to fry.” He said as he would have Migi’s sharpened appendages coming straight down and slice the Oni up into pieces.

The Oni would feel the pain, and he laughed as he perished. The other Onis could see that it would take a few hits for them to go out if they were hit. That meant that it was time to do what they can when it came to exchanging blows. He would look around to see that the Onis weren’t around and it would seem like they were planning on their next attack.

He would look around and soon his danger sense would come from everywhere. He would sigh as this was getting crazy. He would heal his arm using Avalon from Excalibur before it would disappear into his Giant Fork. It was then the attacks of the Onis would dematerialize and he would open his mouth as he would eat up their magic. He would laugh a bit as he figured they didn’t see that coming. His giant fork would change again and this time it would be that of Gae Bolg, and he would launch it straight at the first Oni he saw within the dark.

The Oni would dodge it and laugh when he saw this, and the two Onis that were still fighting Yuurei would rush to him. They would make it to the young man at the same time. He would look at the one that he didn’t toss Gae Bolg to and he would block the Oni’s attack. His eyes shifted to the other one and he was getting ready to land a clean hit on Yuurei.

The round balls that Kaito fired out of his mouth hit the oni's around and exploded on them blasting out condensed Dimensional energy and unleashing area of effect damages as they landed and the oni's feel as if their bodies are being pulled in different ways on hooks in their flesh a suffering they had not yet felt till now and that they dropped to the floor of the carven for as they didn't wish to feel it again and Kaito stood up tall. "Didn't like the torment of a true monster did you!?" A dark aura starts spiking around Kaito and it looks like their is someone standing right behind Kaito with glowing red eyes but Revy didn't see it. The voice in his head told him which spots to aim the next attacks and he does catching the ones that were invisible the voice had never really been this helpful to him so Kaito knows something is wrong as well as he can feel a strange mana disturbance in his own body.

Kaito keeps fighting side by side with Revy and he wonders if there was something that was wrong with him and this place was making it worse as he keeps feeling like he is being drawn toward Brone and that shield and sword companion and he can't place way but something was making him feel strange like he was spinning in a way. He was feeling light headed like he was sick like there was something that might hurt him and make him do something stupid and he was not sure he could stop it. He is trying to stay strong as he has to do something and fight for what is right and he knew he needed to kill what ever this feeling was and he needed to rise above this but it was not that easy he felt and that was going to make this the hard part of the trip as they needed to make sure that they were going to make it to what ever they were here for as Kaito has no real idea of what is even going on as there was this pain in the hand that had found the other star tree and he wonders if something else had lead him to it and this was some kind of trick.

Kaito snaps back to reality to counter some attacks and he helps the female keep fighting that was depending on him as there was something wrong and out of place but Kaito has no idea what it is and that bugs him a lot. Kaito keeps pushing forward keeping the oni off of them as he was sending them to other parts of the cavern and shield bashing them sending them flying and risking killing them on the rugged walls of the cavern as he was not playing around as he needed to make sure that they learned that they couldn't just keep attacking and thinking of ways around Kaito didn't seem possible as he seemed to not have a blind spot as he blocks most if not all of their attacks that he can block while his exceed slashed and cut them down to size to keep them from getting to far ahead of them selves they were getting past and the oni were not going to get to use them as vessels for their escapes either. Kaito waits for them to get closer and fires out beams of dimensional energy that makes them wish they hadn't been hit and that they had run for their lives when they had the chance to flee and hide from the monsters that were now in their cave.

"Brone, I suggest that you stow Dhuraindarin before you bring the entire cave down" Gnicholas was trying to sound as calm as possible, but there was a hint of worry in his voice.

"Aye, I hear ye, Gnich" Brone didn't argue with the gnome. The dwarf was so into the thrill of the fight, he had not noticed that the structural integrity of the cavern was weakening. Though he was sure it would hold against more damage, he didn't want to risk it any further, so he twirled his black axe, which then switched places with his golden axe instantly.

Beams of dimensional energy had darting across the cavern, causing more explosions. The dwarf had looked in Kaito's direction; for some odd reason, Brone had a feeling that his red haired friend might be struggling judging by his expression. He wondered if the oni were giving him any form of trouble; but if that was the case, then the dragon slayer would have began to spread his wings and unleashed his true power.

A oni had noticed the dwarf's attention was towards his ally, so he took advantage of this by shapeshifting in to a bull and began to charge at him. Though Brone was looking at Kaito and the explosions and sound of battle covered the sound of the bull-oni running towards him, the dwarf was fully aware of the area around him and had twirled on his feet, slamming the flat of the golden axe against the head of the bull, diverting him into a nearby wall.

Suddenly, a cloud of purple smoke enveloped the dwarf. Brone swung his axe, Spellcleaver, to negate whatever magic this might be, but the area where he slice had avoided the blade as if it the smoke had a mind of it's own... which it did. The smoke quickly condensed, transforming back into a female oni who then stood in front of the dwarf; her hands outstretched towards him. Brone wasn't sure what she was doing until he realized his entire right side of his body wasn't respond. He looked down and saw that there was some kind of purple color that was covering both his right arms and the color was stretching across the rest of his body. Because the purple was now extending onto his right leg, he struggled to move towards the oni, who he knew was the culprit of this spell.

"Foolish dwarf, you use your might for everything, so you're able to do away with the meatheads, but I doubt you have the intellect to find yourself out of this situation" The oni laughed as her fingers danced, controlling and spreading the purple color throughout the dwarf's body.

Brone knew she was right when she implied he didn't use his head for to solve problems, but what she was wrong about his capability in his cleverness. His left arms were still free from the purple color, so he swung his green axe and slammed it against the right side of his body, hitting his shoulder and part of his armor. Spellcleaver negated the magic and the purple color vanished, allowing him freedom. The oni, in shock, took a step back, trying to think of something she could do, "Wait, would you hit a lady?" She asked as she shapeshifted into a human woman with fair skin and a kind demeanor.

Brone slammed his golden axe into her stomach and sent her flying to a nearby wall. She then was reduced to ash.

Renji was wondering what was going to happen next. He was prepared for the Oni to attack him. The sneaky bastard was hiding and attacking him at a second notice. It was hard for him to get a clean hit on this guy. It was actually frustrating. He did notice that the people he had come with had been doing their part and making sure that they would get rid of the Onis while proceeded out of this cavern.

He sigh as he had to do this at his own pace. He couldn’t allow this Oni to control him. Yes, he was having a hard time with one Oni. It was embarrassing, but at least it was one less thing the others had to fight. The Oni was looking at the man clad in armor. It would seem like he had no idea where he was, which was a good thing. He figured he would go in for another attack; he was chipping away at his defense, but he had to do it faster. The other Onis would need him, so it was time for him to take this man out for the fight.

Renji waited as he knew this Oni wasn’t stupid, and his patience would pay off. The Oni would appear again and he would attack Renji. He saw it coming but knew that he couldn’t avoid the attack. Instead, he would do one thing and he took the attack head-on. When they clashed, Renji would grab the Oni’s arm and the next two things would happen. Renji focused the energy from the helmet and a huge blast of light mana would come out of it. The Oni would be smacked with it and he wasn’t done there; the Jeweled Sword Zelretch that he wielded would also be swung as it would also hit the Oni in front of him. He was getting blasted by two attacks and it was painful.

It was then that Renji would finish it all off with a headbutt which would send the Oni screaming in pain and dispersing from this world. He would sigh and shake his head as he could see the exit not too far from here. He figured that was their main objective and it wasn’t to stay here all day and fight these damn Onis all day.

“I can see the exit from here. We’re so close.” He announced to the group.

Yuurei’s Gae Bolg would hit his mark and it would pierce right through the Oni that was close to landing a hit. It would scream in pain as Gae Bolg would appear in Yuurei’s hand once again. The Seraphim would look at the only Oni brave enough to face him that was still alive.

It was then Yuurei would hear Renji, and he would look over at him. When he was about to say something, he would look over to his friend for a split second before the other Oni tried to attack him. He would look over to the Oni and he would see the punch as it would land right on his face. He would stumble a bit and he would see that blood would come out of his mouth. He would chuckle a bit as he would switch his Gae Bolg back to Excalibur as it would heal the bruise inflicted.

“I’ll be right there, got one to take care of.” He said to Renji as the Exceed would nod and made it to the exit.

Kaito transformed and he had light spinning around him, Kaito started firing beams of light that mixed with his arcane magic doing far more damage than just the arcane magic balls had done and he kept pushing through the piles of oni that had gotten in his way and the light attached to his magic seemed to just tear through them like they were nothing. Revy looked at the new scales that had appeared on Kaito that seemed to shine with light magic and she remembers when Kaito had gotten this but she had never seen him use it outside of that time so she had forgotten that he even had it.

Kaito was not wasting time as the exit was there just within sight of them but not within reach as he kept himself steady as they needed him and they needed to make sure that he was not going to crap out as his form seemed to take a lot out of him. Kaito was not one to back down through and he knew that he needed to make sure that he did what he could to help Brone and Yuurei to get out of the cavern. Kaito feels like he should fire a beam at the companion that Brone had but he snaps out of it before he did it. Revy was seeing something was going on with him and it was starting to scare her a bit but she knows that she can’t back down now they needed to push on and make it to the next part of this journey with them and hopefully see the end of it without dying.

Kaito keeps his body and his shield moving as the exceed wasted no time keeping up the fight and he hoped that they would be able to keep up the fight as there was a lot that was going on but the ending was so close that Kaito can nearly taste it as his spells now powered up with light magic were cutting through the enemy as he went nothing was going to be able to stand in their way as he was sending light flying through the oni's that were doing their best to try and take over Kaito but they were not having any luck and while his light magic was going on the voice in his head was not speaking or saying anything, Kaito wondered why that was if maybe it was a demon and hated the light or maybe something about this made it unable to speak to him and this was a chance for Kaito to keep pushing for what might solve the problem if there even was one and he needed to make sure it didn't consume and take him over.

Revy is showing off her cat like flexes and her acrobatic as she was a natural fighter it seemed so Kaito might need to be a little more loose with the companion. Revy knows that she had a bit of a long way to go until they reach that point but they were going to need to make it there and become each others best friend and take this all on together.

Brone looked about. The cavern floor was unleveled due to the fighting Brone was involved in. He realized Kaito had a good point in the way the dwarf had lashed out in his fighting style. Gnicholas noticed his companion was observing the area's damage and patted him on the shoulder, [color:cfae=#gray]"Not as bad as you may think" he said reassuringly before lowering himself back into the dwarf's cowl, safely out of trouble.

For a moment, Brone began to wonder if he would eve became like Brone the Bastard, his other-worldly self from another dimension. When looking upon the other dwarf, it wasn't exactly looking in a mirror, for even though they were the same person, it was as if Brone had another life other than the one he currently had. The Bastard, what everyone called him, was ruthless and cared nothing for the environment around him, didn't even cared if his own people were hurt in his rampage. He gave into his anger fully, with no hesitation or caution. After the war with the other world, Gnicholas had to explain to Brone of what made him and the other Brone different. Basically circumstance. After a struggle to understand what the gnome meant, he realized that if certain things in his life went a different way, or if Brone made different choices, he would have become Brone the Bastard. For that, he was lost in thought about whether or not he could still be that evil dwarf.

The sound of battle brought him back to reality and he turned about to see Kaito firing spells of light. The dwarf was impressed that the dragon slayer was ever evolving with his magic. Everytime they went on an adventure, he would see a new form of magic coming from him.

Renji had pointed out the exit and ran for it. Brone took the chance to follow up on the feline by rushing for the exit. But a handful of oni appeared from the shadows to cut him off, seemingly desperate to keep him from escaping. But before the oni could fully form from the shadow, Brone sliced them  to ribbons with his Spellcleaver, "Outta my way!" the dwarf spat as he continued to run.

Yuurei would look around as the Oni could see that these people were truly strong in their own right. This was perfect, and they knew that if the Onis could win in the long run, the body they would inhabit would be something they could easily wreak havoc with. It was then that the Oni would appear behind Yuurei. The companions that were always with the Oni had been defeated by Yuurei.

They were all taken out and it was the only one left. The timer on its form was running out as well. It was all or nothing right now. If he could take out Yuurei with this attack, then it could take his body and it wouldn’t die.

It would swing down the weapon on Yuurei. The Seraphim would shake his head. This Oni got desperate and forgot that surprised attacks wouldn’t work. It needed to use multiple attacks and hoped for the best, but that wasn’t the case. He would turn to swing his invisible weapon. Parrying the blade, it would bounce back and the Oni would be free for the next attack. Migi’s sharpened appendages would make its way to the Oni and it would be sliced up into bits.

The Oni would scream and shout from the pain before dispersing. Yuurei would look around and he would make his way by Brone and he would see more Onis appearing. He would swing Excalibur and a slash of light mana would appear cutting an Oni and giving him the opening, he needed. He figured Brone would be able to handle his own and hopefully make it out of this place without a problem. The Onis that were after him wouldn’t be able to go further than a few meters away from the exit as their plans to take them had failed.

Kaito keeps pushing forward going toward where Yuurei is going to be and that will not make this task easier or harder but Kaito is feeling funny and that was a bad sign but Kaito keeps pushing forward and not stopping as he shield bashed and kept fighting so that they could keep going and that means that the oni must be slowing down or are starting to fall back as they keep going and Kaito hopes that he will make it with Revy but also knows that there was never any going back for now as they had a lot of things that can go wrong Kaito needs to think of if he wants to keep going on as this place does not bind him but that also means he would be leaving behind his friends and that was something that he couldn't do and so he will have to suck it up at least for now.

Revy keeps following Kaito's lead and she does her best to not let them fall apart and not be pulled back by an oni getting a hand on her that she hadn't already slashed off of them she was staying on guard as they made it to the thresh hold that would lead them to the next area and she wonders if she was going to be able to keep this up as she was already feeling sore and a bit tired as she seemed not to be use to this body yet but she was doing her best to get the hang of the body and how it moved.

Initially, the battle was intriguing, but now was becoming an annoyance to the dwarf. No matter how many onis he had defeated, more waves would soon come. And as the adventurers continued to get closer to the exit, the oni wave drastically started to increase in their aggression. "Why are they so aggressive!?" Brone growled as he dodged an oni's saber that swooped in from over head, but it didn't slow him down as the dwarf continued to run, hoping to catch up to Yuurei and Kaito.

"They want to possess your bodies so they can escape the cave" Benimaru finally spoke as he flew beneath Brone's white cloak and fastened himself onto the dwarf's back, hitching a ride.

"Nice of ye to finally join the chat, Beni!" Brone said right before slamming his green axe into an incoming oni shadow, causing it to disintegrate. Benimaru didn't reply, now returning back to silence; Brone scoffed at the silent treatment, but he didn't press the matter, given that the group had more important things to worry about; primarily at the moment, escaping the cave before the onis could take their bodies.

"I wonder who sealed these onis in these caverns" Gnicholas asked as he continued to hide in the dwarf's hood.

"Probably Yuurei's grandad" Brone blurted as he focused on his breathing technique in order to keep himself from losing speed. Gnicholas didn't entertain the dwarf's answer; for the gnome knew the dwarf wasn't aware that Yuurei's father's side, the Starlight clan weren't full elves, so their lifespan were longlived, so Yuurei's grandfather wouldn't have been around during the war against the onis. But the question was still a valuable one to the gnome; it meant that these caverns belonged to the Starlight clan, so there may be some secrets that would intrigue him enough to study.

Brone looked behind himself, questioning whether or not he was still being followed. What he saw would cause nightmares for even young dwarven men; a wave of shadows were crawling along the floor and ceiling while another two spider onis, similar to what Kaito had fought, were chasing after them. Luckily the dwarf was behind Kaito and Yuurei's group, so he didn't need to worry about their safety. They were close to the exit, so all worry would soon be behind them... that is if it's true that the oni are trapped in these caverns.
