It wasn’t all too often that skald felt like taking time off to herself. Inf act it was so rare that she often overworked herself down to the bone. Something that she realized was counterintuitive to her health and counterintuitive to developing as a whole. So when she learned about the island known as Luluhawa she couldn’t help but want to go and check it out. Booking passage on one of the many ships and keeping mostly to herself. Politely making conversation with those that made it while sticking to the exterior of some places. People that were well connected would be able to piece things together, she figured and it was better that she didn’t stand out more than she already did. A black furred kitsune with seven tails would stand out no matter where they went ontop of her being associated somewhat vaguely with sleeping calamity. Not too many people would take kindly to a dark guild hopeful wandering the streets. Though she wasn’t officially part of the guild she was still life debt sworn to jikan. Something that she held proudly. Once the ship docked in the wee hours of the morning she swiftly departed, making sure to pay the captain his dues before heading out. What immediately was apparent to her was the life of the island; even in the early hours there were many people here. Cheerful, laughing, happy. The softness of this place made her stand in place for a few moments. The scraping of plate armor against one another, the slight twisting of the leather and chains that set inbetween. The gentle clanking of her sword at her side. She stood out more like she was dressed for war than anyone else here. Even her cloak seemed to be out of place. She stood there on the docks for a few moments; quickly collecting the information she needed to know. Light clothing, gentle garb, not a weapon in sight. Things she could get behind. People felt safe here. This was a tourist attraction which meant that she would be able to very quickly find a place to reside. Renting herself a room at one of the inns nearby she was quick to change into more fitting attire. Better to blend in than to stand out even more. The cloak was replaced with a vest, her armor replaced with a shirt. Hood replaced with red tinted sunglasses. While her pants mostly resembled her armor, it was lighter shaded. She looked more like a tourist than a hunter. She didn’t feel comfortable leaving her sword in the inn, but with it firmly wrapped in cloth she felt like it would stick out even more in the chosen attire. Shrugging to herself the kitsune eventually left. Padding through the sands and various beaches until she found a more secluded spot she could sit down at. Most mages relied on modes of transportation that were spritely; she had no qualms with that but the kitsune had expended a lot of energy staying up while the questionable captain had been sailing. She didn’t trust sailors for a variety of reasons. Even more so outside of the waters of iceberg. At least the sailors there had a sense of honor. Here? She couldn’t be certain. So she’d lean back in her chair, figuring that a nap was in order. Well. Dozing rather than a nap. If things went poorly she figured that she could at least get a few good licks in. Her hide was naturally tough, even more so now that some strange event had passed by a few months prior. Twisting her flesh in such a fashion to where she was even able to shrug off gunshots point blank. The world was weird that way. |

Ahhh~... How she loved Luluhawa in the Summer. Alisa loved Luluhawa at every time of year, but during the summer the island seemed... Different? More vibrant? As if such a thing were possible~... As she dove into the cool, welcoming waters, she delighted in the ocean's embrace wrapping her entire body head to toe, flowing around her curves as she propelled herself beneath the waves with slow strokes of those long, shapely legs:
"Mmmm~... I should have come here weeks ago~", with a low, satisfied hum, Alisa opened her eyes underwater, taking in that shimmering glow as the sun's rays beamed through the surface of water, shining down on the sandy shores beneath her feet.
As she swam further in, she could eventually see small, stray schools of colourful fish wandering too close to the surf, scattering as she approached. Alisa's cheek puffed as she held her breath and carried on with her undersea exploration, until she felt her that ache in her chest, signalling that she was getting close to her limit:
"Ahh...~!", with a low, satisfied breath as she emerged with a splash, the sculptress combed her long black hair back as she turned her attention back to the shore, and began to make her way outside...
Heavens... She could see herself moving here once she finally retired from guildmaster life? Silly to be thinking about retirement, but it felt much longer than that, and well... She was reaching 30 years old now, had a wife and daughter, the country was relatively peaceful for once... All she really needed now was a successor. As Alisa sashayed back out of sea, water, water cascading down her curvaceous frame, she could help but fan herself as her pale skin glistened in the sunshine, taking in her surroundings. It was there that she saw an unfamiliar looking demi human standing not too far from her towel. Black fur too... Heavens... She could only imagine how hot she must be, it made her feel hot just thinking about it:
"Good afternoon... Now you're a face I haven't seen around here before.", she greeted, hand falling down on the flare of her hip as she indulged in her curiosity.

Delivery Dave was an omnipresent force of mailing prowess. There existed no location he would not venture to, no package too challenging, no address off bounds. He would fulfill. Clad in his jogging shorts and trusty red cap, he was a god amongst men.
With characteristic hip-wiggling, Dave raced along the sandy beach shore, eagerly distributing promotional pamphlets to the people present, ensuring his message reached far and wide. Having visited inns and various establishments earlier, he now approached Skald and Alisa, ready to bless them with an encounter with the greatest being in creation.
"Goo'day to you, esteemed lady and gentleman!" Dave beamed with an infectious cheer as he reached them. "You both strike me as individuals who could greatly benefit from a superior postal service! Am I right or am I right?"
"Here, take one each," he said, handing out promotional flyers for DAVEPOST - the unrivaled postal service for all their needs! "And don't miss the special promo coupon inside - your first delivery with us comes with a delightful 50% discount! Quite appetizing, wouldn't you say?"
Within, there would be detailed the following:
DAVEPOST wrote:- Message delivery: 25,000 jewels
- Package delivery: 100,000 jewels
- Advertisement campaign: 200,000 jewels
With a quick salute, Dave adjusted his cap, exclaiming, "If you ever require our assistance, just direct a letter to me at any mailbox! The postal service personnel know me well, and I conduct my rounds regularly, covering nearly every nook and cranny. Simply send me that ink on paper, and I'll find you in no time!"
"Now then..." he said, before adjusting his uniform, and getting into an awkward sprinting pose, as he wiggled his bum to gather momentum to start jogging again. "Think Outside the Mailbox with DAVEPOST! Bye now!"

Skald stared for a little bit as she could feel like she wans’t alone, there was a twisting itch at the back of her neck that told her that she needed to be careful and it made it hard to relax. Hands somewhat in her pockets, the deep icy blue eyes roamed around up until… She found herself staring at quite a stunning human for a brief moment. Recognition flashed across her face and she couldn’t help but feel her heart drop into her stomach. If she had been drinking something she might have spat it out. Alisa? The Blue Pegasus Guild Master???? She was floored for the most part, standing there with what seemed to be a mix of uncertainty and surprise. She didn’t know about the likely ownership of this island and the ties that alisa had to it. She just knew of the guild master and how they tended to be in this area. Hell when was the last time their ship moved locations? The fox demi human rubbed at the back of her neck. ”Good afternoon. I recently arrived so that’s probably why.” The fox’s build definitely wasn’t what you’d expect in terms of vocal range; then again with some demi-humans it was hard to tell if they were male or female. Her’s was a few octaves higher than it used to be. Magic was a weird thing and even more so that her mannerisms were still… oddly neutral. ”While I’m… definitely not familiar to you. I am familiar with you. But I suppose introductions are in order, Madam. My name is Skald. Skald Ragnulf.” She gave a courteous half bow with one of her arms in front of her, like you’d expect from a butler or maid of sorts. She was very polite and her voice was steady as she introduced herself. Her ears flicked and her head turned. The rapid approach of another individual earned Skald's befuddlement. A man in rather interesting attire approached the both of them; some form of delivery service handing out brochures? Her brows furrowed a bit as she was handed a promotional flyer; a quick explanation and with an even quicker exit she was left standing there with that flyer. Less questions than you’d expect and more answers than you’d hope. She’d fold the flyer neatly and then place it into one of her vest pockets after quickly looking it over. Never knew when that would be useful; though the prices were a little steep the individual was likely well versed in travel and would make sure messages or packages were delivered on time. She’d have to keep that in mind for later. ”If I may ask Madam Alisa; what brings you to this Island? To my knowledge Blue Pegasus territory doesn’t reach out this far but then again every guild has it’s secrets. Or in this case Island. Heh.” |

"Oh, good morning Dave, what brings you here?", she smiled as the courier intercepted her halfway through, and she simply smiled, "Fufu~ Thank you for that, have a nice day~"
She could notice the demi human gawking at her, as though she'd seen somebody who was never supposed to be here. Her hand rose over her mouth as she giggled gracefully, holding the fox's gaze for a moment there as she approached:
"Hmmm, I see~... Well I hope you're enjoying the island?", she chimed, cocking that wide, womanly hip to the side as her hand slid down and came to rest there, idly adjusting the strap of her swimsuit. Between her voice and her build, her gender was indeed difficult to identify, but in a guild as sexually liberated as Blue Pegasus, Alisa didn't think too much of it, after all, one's definition of gender and what attributes qualified each of them weren't really for her to decide, "Pleasure to meet you Skald. You can call me Alisa~"
And with these words, Alisa threw her a cool, captivating little wink. That look of recognition made it clear the demi human already recognized her from her exploits back in Fiore. Her reputation preceded her, but in recent years Alisa hadn't really done anything noteworthy, as she'd been preoccupied with her guild and her family. Fiore was at peace, after more than a decade of constant wars and calamities. It seemed that these calamities had now started taking place in different countries, which she'd still try to stop, but she felt a measure of relief that her homeland had finally caught a break. She should feel horrible for this, but she really didn't... She'd prefer if no mayhem occurred in any country, but if that couldn't happen, then she'd settle for Fiore evading it for the time being:
"Why, vacation of course? And besides... Some people on this island have named me the island's Guardian. And it wouldn't do for the Guardian never to show her face here?", of course, that question puzzled her a bit. By now she'd become a familiar face around Luluhawa. It wasn't a part of Fiore, not under the country's jurisdiction or even Blue Pegasus... But she'd still taken it upon herself to protect this little slice of paradise, "That has nothing to do with Blue Pegasus either. It's something I personally want to do~... And what of yourself~?"

The fact that Alisa knew the strange delivery person didn’t strike skald as odd; the amount of people that were unknown to the demi-human was more vast than she’d like but it was something that only time would fix. The fox rubbed at her neck slightly when asked if she was enjoying the island. The giggle earning a small flick of an ear from them. ”So far? Yes. I haven’t been here very long but it’s already much more peaceful than the expanses of iceberg or the north in general.” Her introduction confirming that this was indeed Alisa; but with them desiring a simply name calling instead of a title put skald a little more at ease. She’d return that wink with a small smile; adjusting so that her hands rested at their sides. Compared to alisa the demi-human hadn’t really done much; but she had been focusing on other things entirely. ”I suppose that’s fair, I didn’t know that they had considered you the guardian. A good choice.” Skald nodded her head; a guildmaster would make for a wonderful guardian of a location. Strong, confident and full of experience. Not to mention most were mages and had strong spells. Hard to really argue with that. It was fairly easy to pick out someone using that. She’d adjust again, her stance shifting to a more relaxed one. Like there had been tension on her half but… now? Not at all. ”I can’t really blame you for accepting; especially if it’s something you already wanted to do. Hmm? Me?” Skald stopped and pondered the question; the reasons she came here were plentiful and humming to herself the fox demi human eventually admitted to herself that it was largely because she wanted to relax. But there were some things that only this island could provide; something that she was willing to work and pay for. ”A mix of business and pleasure really. There are things here that aren’t available anywhere else in the world; so getting some goods for the northern reaches would be imperative for someone like myself. As for pleasure? It’s been too long since I’ve been to the warmer reaches and upon hearing about this place I couldn’t help but book passage. Take some me time and whatnot.” |
