The cheeky Angel still saw where she was. Of course he would. Even as she tried to hid away within the night, he would simply have a toy to peel her veil away. She looked at him with her World's eye, he has so many things that even if her insight told her of what he could do, it took time to understand it all. Even though she knew of the necklace and the fork, it was easy to get lost at figuring out where he was pulling a spell from.
Impossible? What did the man have in mind. What was he going to toss her way?She felt the pit growing in her stomach but she already knew. She knew very well what he would just end up doing. She tried to brace her, flexing her arms in anticipation. Black frost would creep along her skin and coat her. Much like the armor the Angel and her Uncle wore. Hopping that she would be able to still turn things around all the same. Lumikki gritted her teeth in annoyance. The Seraphim from all the stories she's heard so far, is the strongest around. If she loses to him, it was not because she was weak. Yet knowing that brought her no comfort. Only a sense of disgust that she wasn't enough.
What if she never will be enough? The Angel says otherwise. He tells her she was strong. That she deserved his true form. If only she worked more, if only she worked hard.... Her black frost engulfed her completely. She saw as he rose his spear and took a step back.
"Finally, it's the one from before. He threatens to use it again...." Lumikki's leg began to ache. The water below her freezing in her anger and fear.
She took a deep breath, it couldn't hurt her as it did before. The lines of its path already appearing from the power of her hawk's eye. She prepared for its flight.
But she wasn't prepared for this.
Lumikki gasped as the Angel showed his form, wings finally pulling back. It mesmerized her for a moment since it was such a rare sight. And it confused her to no end.
What could it mean? What could he be planing?"Whhhhhy!? Why do ye keep mocking me?! Do I not do enough?......."She began to cast a spell, her grip and staff were stacking the frost on her hands. An arrow of formless shadow materialized rapidly, the tip and tail shifting constantly. Never settling until she had sent it out, the head a gnarling dog and the tail, lashing claws.
It spun with the ferocity she felt. Heading for the man's Gal Bog. And she would shot for it, her hand ready to make her bind pull her when she was close enough to make it miss.
But the Angel wasn't finished.
Impossible he said.....Impossible he assured to her.She looked to the sky. Threads of light winding to make a bigger spear than it did before. There was no where to run or fly.
She looked over to the Seraphim. Anger swelling in her feature.
"Why? It this just how ye remind me now I'm nothin to ya?" Her flight was halted. Lumikki would look up and cry. Tears would fall from her eyes and blur her sight, it made the spear shine more, even sparkle brighter than all the other stars in the sky.
She looked to Yuurei and stomped her feet in the water. Massive black frost staglimites shot forth, racing the waters surface and break the ground. It stopped short sadly but it was to be expected. Gal Bog hit her but she didn't fall. It was like she thought. It wouldn't hurt her like it did. But the one in the sky would now.
She looked back up, keeping her wings until the end.
"You aren't weak. It's just not fair. Time, you'll need more time. You just need to learn what cripples him." She heard the words within her thoughts but she was too numb to process them. She simply dissociated from the reality of it all.
The spear of light finally crashing into her. Breaking what ever was left. Lumikki what shatter in the power and weight of the attack. It forced her under the water. But she was already gone. The pain was just too much to bare.
The ravens around the battle were in a panic. The stood still petrified in the presence of the attack, but now that it has passed, their sense returned. Trygve led the charge, flying for Yuurei to slash the man with his talons. Others soon joined. Trying to get their peace for the damage inflicted.
A few or so only flew for the water, circling the spot the Daemon sunk.
Croaking woefully in their hysteria. None of the birds were pleased. And none could see their companion from under the water.
