Yijun
Yijun had come to a city that is on the end of the river he was mostly here just for some tea and to take in the sights of the river. The place he was served all kinds of drinks and foods some adult and some not so adult. He figured that it would be a peaceful day and maybe he would meet some peaceful locals though he could see that a few were not locals and were slightly harassing woman that served them and walked past and whistled at a few. Yijun wished to teach them a lesson but it was not his place to teach them a lesson the staff and the women were the only ones that had those rights to teach them lessons or tell them off. Yijun just kept sipping his tea and minded his own business as he had, had a lot that had been happening around him. He was assaulted by a rich and prideful woman, he had been fighting monsters and keeping back evil. He needed some good down time and that was what he sought to do here.

The wind was blowing cool air and leaves that rode the wind were different shades and colors showing that the fall was upon them and that soon it would be a deeper cold. Yijun was fine in his division uniform that he got for his hard work as a member of the Joyan run faction but he also knows that it makes him stick out a little in this place as it was not like many peoples clothes and he needed to keep his head down and his nose clean.

Never trust blindly or you'll be in a world of hurt

A beautiful, serene place Sin was. Akane was here for a specific reason, to track down a tip she received regarding her elusive bounty, her deadbeat dad. She'd heard word through the grapevine back in Fiore of a crimson-eyed, red-haired affluent businessman doing business in Sin and Akane couldn't pass up the chance to check out its credibility. However, much to her disappointment and frustration, it was a wild goose chase.

Her shitty dad was nowhere to be found after weeks of traveling around the country after months of learning the language to prepare for this damned trip for it to be all for naught made the daemon want to go on a total rampage. However, she instead settled for a day and night of hard drinking and good food.

She found a good place that was recommended to her by a local when she asked around. However, it seemed like a fancy establishment so Akane put on the nicest outfit she owned. A nice one-piece blue dress that came down to about her knees. She wore thick black stockings and combat boots. Her long, black hair was done up in a long ponytail. Over the dress, she wore a leather jacket. The dress she wore was mostly backless so she didn't want to show that off.

Being such an attractive female, always brought her trouble wherever the daemon went, and as soon as she sat at the bar, a couple of rough dudes came over and started to harass her. Calling her "sweetheart" and looking at her lasciviously. All Akane wanted was to get a drink and some meat and unwind from the stress of this whole trip. It seemed like these punks wouldn't let her. As soon as one of them laid a hand on her, she immediately grabbed it and twisted her wrist, breaking it. The guy screamed in agony, and the others who were with him backed off.

Akane gave a very angry smile "You rat bastards think you can do whatever the hell you want, harassing the women working here, harassing other customers." She let go throwing him off onto the floor before standing up and cracking her knuckles, looking almost like a demon out of hell. "Well, think again! Now, are you boys going to leave or do I need to help you leave?!"

The guy on the ground was rolling on the ground writhing in pain from having his wrist messed up, the rest of his crew took off running, yelling they wouldn't forget this and get her back, like a bunch of textbook lame thugs out of a comic book. The one who'd been tossed to the floor got up and ran after them, not uttering a peep. Akane clapped like dusting off her hands, ordering the hardest drink they had and the best meat dish they made. The person behind the bar was more than happy to fulfill that order for the person who got rid of the pests in their establishment. The drink came first, it was something called White Lotus wine, and it was said to be the strongest drink they served.

Akane felt much better after letting off some steam, if only those punks had actually tried fighting back, she would have been able to let off even more steam but the sweet aromatic, full-bodied wine really hit the spot. Her food came next, it was a variety plate of different meat dishes. Some skewers of beef and chicken dripped in a dark sauce with sesame seeds. Pieces of seasoned meat wrapped in cabbage. Dumplings full of ground pork and veggies, bursting with juice. It was a real sight for sore eyes. Akane's eyes lit up and her mouth watered at the feast before her.

The bounty hunter couldn't have asked for a better meal and at this point, she didn't care about how much it might cost her. That is until the person from behind the bar who'd brought out her food told her it was on the house as thanks for ridding their establishment of those pests. "Oh sweet! Thanks! I'll make sure to savor every bite!" After giving her thanks, Akane gave her thanks for the food"Itadakimasu!" she clapped her hands together and dug right in.

Yijun
Yijun looked over and saw the woman hand out a beat down to the other men and he wondered if maybe she had gone a bit to far but it isn't like they didn't deserve what they got, as she didn't kill them but he would figure that she was not one that he could approach and he just kept himself seated and sipping his tea, and some cookies that he had ordered to go with them as he was keeping it light and relaxed and he was not going to go over the top with the indulging of himself. He looked at his shield that was against the wall and he smiled at it. He never thought that he would find such a treasure in his life from what he could tell it was made to last. The runes he would have to look deeper into but from what he could tell this shield was not a common item one might find.

He wondered if he would be able to research on this shield and maybe be able to repeat the process of it or other things as he finished his tea he stood up and then lifted the shield and put it across his back and then started to head for the the exit and as he was about to pass the woman he spoke in Sinese "Good work on the fight to deal with those people." He then waved to the owner of the shop and waited for the owner to come over so he could pay for his tea and cookies he was not sure what to really do with the rest of his day as he hadn't planned on anything else to do for the day so he was probably going to keep walking along the river for a bit longer.

Akane started with one of chicken swekers. They had an assortment of vegetables in between each piece of meat that complimented the chicken perfectly. After that she tried the beef skewer. Then she moved onto the pork dumplings which were the size of a baseball. When she bit into it, the juice from the meat exploded in her mouth. Such full flavor. Akane definitely was not the most refined person when eating. After all, she'd barely learned social etiquette or table manners. Not that she really cared for such nonsense.

As she was in the middle of chowing down like an animal, a man approached the counter and seemingly complimented her on the fight. Akane didn't expect someone else to think positively about her violence. Having been pretty much treated to a feast. Akane was in a super good mood. So, she decided to be actively social for a rare change of pace.

She motioned to the seat next to her at the bar. "Thanks! You seem like a decent dude, why don't ya join me for a drink? I'm in a great mood after blowing off all that steam!" Her words lacked any hint of refinement but her usual monotone was not present. Instead it was a much more friendly and warm one. Perhaps it was because of the booze or the food but Akane was being uncharacteristically jovial.

So far this guy didn't seem to be like those who she "helped" earlier but there was something familiar about him. Something about his scent. Maybe he was a daemon too. If he was, maybe he could help her understand more about her obscura. Since her shitty old man didn't teach her much before ditching her in the dead of night. Akane had been looking for more daemons that she could learn about her powers and obscura. Either way, it was certainly worth a shot, all it would take was for him to accept her offer to join her. If he chose to decline and leave, well no skin off her bones.

Yijun
He looked to the woman that was now offering him to sit next to her and he wondered if there was a reason that she would wish for him to sit with her after she had just done what she had and he had a slight feeling that maybe she was feeling the booze or maybe it was the food she was feeling. He was not sure put he took the seat next to her though he was not going to be drinking as a drinking contest had left him a bit too tolerant to it and his stomach lurched at the thought of him drinking again. "I can sit with you, but not meaning to ruin your mood but I am going to pass up on drinking alcohol, had a time not long ago that I over did it and my body still lurchers at the idea of it." He saw the owner way over and he paid the owner what he owed and then ordered another cup of tea and he looked at the woman.

"You new around here or are you a local cause your accent seems like newer around but your understanding seems very close to the language." He figured that it was a safe enough question to ask the woman as she had asked for him to join her but he was not sure of how she would take it if she was a local and he just hadn't ever come across her before. He set his heavy shield on the floor leaned against the side of the counter as he didn't think that he was going anywhere for awhile so keeping the shield on himself didn't make sense in the moment.
