This was all new to him he had never been to Joya before and couldn't even take in the sights or wander around, he was there for a reason and for now that was to get to the meeting point and see who his mystery partner was, and why did he need a partner even, he could have handled the task just as well. Then again, it wouldn't be detrimental to accept help especially if they could prove useful, oh what the heck it's fine maybe he could even make some connections who was to say.

He was lost in thought as he was walking managing to cancel out the noise from the environment until he noticed it was getting loud, too loud in fact and that snapped him back to reality, looking around he saw a lot of people chatting, running, laughing and crying. This was war anyway, not like he had lived through it, Caelum was a pretty calm place, some might call it heaven even if such a thing exists. But now he could see all these people some with expensive attires, some with military attires and some with downright rugs all getting ready for what was to come and he had to play his part in all this as well.

He walked further down towards the meeting spot he could already see people gathering there and probably getting to know each other b(a)uddies in arms he thought to himself and chuckled, he was horrible but his new fae nature started getting to him more and more, he didn't mind it though it was a new experience more liberating than having to just be a good boy. He stopped to fix his silver-white hair, honestly that damp weather was not helping in the slightest with how long he kept them even if he had them tied in a ponytail of sorts, maybe he should have gone with short hair but that chance is gone now and what was with all those bones around, his inquisitive gaze checked his surroundings, sure it was interesting but did they have to make this the battlefield, it would surely discourage people, or give them an easy way out, this was surely a place of death and these events wouldn't help make it any better.

He buttoned his black woolen cape up to the neck the temperature wasn't helping make things easier although he liked the cold, it meant he could be wrapped in nice clothes. He had worn his black fingerless gloves and black pants with black boots, all with some royal blue in them, might as well make a good impression you never know who you're going to stumble upon, he thought as he stood at the meeting point with moments later seeing a tall dark dressed man appear before him, his eyes closed, a unique individual through and through, he greeted him warmly.

The man's voice sounded like a soft tune in his ears, soft on the outside but hard on the inside are we not, he thought. Alfyn could somewhat read the man's aura but aside from the feeling that he shouldn't mess with this person he couldn't discern more, could be that this guy was powerful, could be that Alfyn's aura reading was still weak in any case that was more than enough information to make him adjust his behavior and tone going forward so he wouldn't have any trouble. Realizing he had been staring for a hot minute, the man was now informing him of his station and occupation in this place. The tech department he said, that sounded familiar, they would work on different things he said, that sounded amusing. Alfyn chuckled "In fact mr. Aldo I believe we will be working closer than you might think" he said and explained how he was assigned to work in technology as well, although it would only be briefly as his job was to inspect and maintain-when needed- the medical technology and machinery they have deployed, the rest was automatic so he wouldn't have to involve himself further. Instead he was to contribute to forming a strategy as to how best handle the combat medics that were to be deployed to take care of the wounded on the spot.

"Quite a long monologue" he mused as he didn't mean to bore his partner however ephemeral their relationship might be he didn't want to brush people the wrong way. He was open to hearing any criticism from the man or even his side of the story but once that was done he looked around and proceeded to point towards the direction they'd have to take to make it to tech central. While on the way Alfyn complimented Aldo's looks, in a tactful manner of course as he didn't want to come on strong, sadly that was something he had to struggle with his fae self now not really allowing him to hide his "admiration" for others, it was like the words wanted to escape his mouth and he had to quickly replace them with something more appropriate.

He wasn't expecting to be complimented back by Aldo the man was mysterious but quite polite at least, not half bad, whether it was his true self or not Alfyn didn't care just not being rude was more than enough not to mention being called precious gave him a little boost of confidence be it a true statement or not. As they were walking he kept looking around at the people, he wanted to see what each person's occupation was and was ready to make himself useful, after all this country gave him the chance to go on an adventure and even though it ended being in a bloodied land he still wanted to repay such a gift, he wasn't being put in any immediate danger anyway and that was more than fine for him.

Once they reached their destination Alfyn headed towards the place where they kept all the tech related to medicine and began chatting with those in charge as to what he was expected to do and how he should perform. He already had knowledge of this beforehand but it never hurt to ask and so he began inspecting each and every piece of medical equipment. The fact that they had managed to bring to such an area all this was quite a feat. From recuperating chambers to even nano bot technology all provided for the health of the soldiers and mercenaries who assisted them. He conducted a few experiments to see if everything was working properly and then gave a crash course to the healthcare assistants for each individual use of the machinery, how to operate and command them, some were even automated so they would just have to make sure they run properly.

As he was explaining and teaching the volunteers and the other healthcare personnel he took a look at each one of them, their eyes, facial expressions, some were joyan citizens while others had come from lands far away all of them different yet all of them united for the same cause. Some didn't even have the required know-how but that didn't stop them from learning in order to give back to a country that gave a lot to them, or for some it was just the sweet allure of money and reward. Alfyn fixed his cape as the lecture ended, answered his colleagues questions and then proceeded to offer help one last time before he had to move on to other matters. Mostly it seemed that everyone understood the material and were now giving it their all, to those who still had trouble with the job he offered a smile and explained whatever it was that had to explained again.

He stood up with a sigh of relief and looked at the last person that needed his help offering her a hand to stand up as well as she went on to attend other matters. That should be all for this place he thought and walked up to his superior giving a full report and was then discharged from the medical tech department. He then walked around the place and inquired if people had seen Aldo the man who was his partner, of course he didn't mention his name rather a very detail explanation of his appearance so he could be pointed at the right direction. Eventually he saw the tall man, black hair, elegant black coat and all, what a guy he thought to himself and chuckled while picking up his pace.

When he reached him he stood beside him for a moment unknown to him of what he decided to work on, he also had no idea where he was currently as he wasn't asking for directions to the place but the person, whatever this place was though it certainly looked interesting. Alfyn touched Aldo's shoulder softly with a nudge to indicate his presence, he was almost certain he could have identify him from across the room with his back at him but he seemed lost in thought, a mysterious man with mysterious ways. Alfyn had decided to offer assistance in whatever Aldo was doing as he had a break in between his own duties, the strategy meeting for medics wasn't to begin until a couple hours later and he didn't want to miss the chance and help out his partner while also gaining knowledge for himself. Not to mention it wasn't like he hadn't seen any of this equipment or programs before so it wouldn't pose a problem for him to adjust to the situation, he was quite the tech savvy back in Caelum university what with all its advanced structure and all. Having become a fae though he wondered if he would change in that regard though, technology most of the time comes at the expense of nature and he was now a being of nature, maybe technology and nature could co-exist there was after all some that did help nurture it, but that still utilized magic in some form, usually the pure technology he saw was only to benefit individuals and not the planet. He refocused to his purpose and to the man beside him before his mind wondered in a hundred more directions, he was getting used to his fae self but sometimes it was like his old personality was antagonizing this new surfacing one.

Everything was continuing apace with both Aldo and Alfyn on the clock managing things between defense mechanisms and invisibility detection units, some of the machinery really were a piece of art. So advanced that they could create force fields to withstand a lot of pressure from incoming blasts whether those were of magical or otherwise nature. Alfyn was trying to be careful when handling them and following the instructions he was given as he didn't want to be responsible for any accidents or outcomes that could lead to any losses, always vigilant he kept checking and double checking if everything was working as intended. During this time he would ask for help sometimes from his partner or help him instead if the need was present.

Doing some final checks on his end he approached Aldo and told him he would be leaving for his other post in strategy, with a smile and a nod he turned around and started walking towards the appointed place. Alfyn still had some time to spare just as he calculated as he didn't want to go back to another job without having a little break first to recharge himself. He walked along the food stalls they had set, this might be a war but with all the mercenary, mages and all the support from the guilds and whatnot there was proper food and choices much to his delight. After purchasing a nice bowl of hot noodles with some other ingredients he hadn't seen in his life mostly attesting to him not having left Caelum and only been in Fiore for a few months, he went to get a beverage as well only to find it overtaken by a bunch of thirst individuals. He was somewhat disappointed but certainly wouldn't wait in line for so long neither did he want to be in the presence of some of the more vulgar people. He found an empty spot a bit farter away where he sat down and started eating his food.

The flavor was enjoyable, he hadn't really tried that kind of cuisine before and with a couple more tastings he could learn to really like it as it wasn't completely out of his palette. With each bite he did a bit more people watching, seeing what everyone was up to, their expressions, he could be a chatterbox himself but he was always good at observing and in finding details others wouldn't easily notice akin to that of a famous detective in one of those books he read.

When he finished eating he disposed of the bowl and went on his way to his next assignment. He made it there with ten minutes to spare and was properly briefed in all his duties. He then met with all his colleagues that were a part of the combat medic team he would design a strategy for, he was introduced to each one of them and talked to them one by one to get to know their weaknesses and their strengths and with those in mind he would devise of a plan to safely get them at the required place, how to then stay safe while tending to the wounded and come back with any of those that were seriously injured. He studied the terrain, any potential blind spot or hiding place there could be so that they aren't detected before making it there. Once the concept was formed together with the guidance of other peers as well he came up with the perfect route, although he knew in his mind nothing could really be perfect this would have to suffice. The risk was minimal as it could be and it would now be up to the skills of the team.

But that's not fully how Alfyn operates, leaving that to just skill when lives are at stake didn't really sit well with him so he conjured a little nature spirit that would act as their guide and as Alfyn's eyes should anything go wrong and they would have to intervene. With reassurance in tow the team took off following the plan to a T managing to get in safely heal the injured and get out with any gravely wounded soldiers. When they made it back the soldiers were carried to the medical establishment while Alfyn congratulated the combat medics and they in turn thanked him for the help he provided and how he cared for them.

After a detailed report it was time to head home but not before paying a visit to Aldo. He checked with him to see how everything was going and would help should the man require any assistance while sharing a few experiences of the operation he strategized for and afterwards wished the man a good night and went to rest. He was well aware that there hadn't been any idle chit chat or the opportunity to get to know each other but under these circumstances he barely had the time to socialize.
