"Worship me in rivers of blood" STR: 311 | SPD: 507 | CON: 256 | END: 225 | INT: 256 | MANA: 13,550 "Bow before your queen" - Astrid Venier The road was heavy, years of travel and little effort to repair being apparent throughout all of it. Each step taken sent a sense of pain upon her feet, up her legs, all resonating within her head to the point of wishing to be simply done with this travelling. Venturing to Oak had proven to be nothing short of a test of endurance, an absolute struggle that she wished she could have sought any sort of reprieve from. At the time it seemed simple; venture elsewhere and find peace and a sense of relaxation waiting. Or at the minimum a sense of not having to fear what may be lurking behind her. Never the less, that was far from the case. The travel had been struggling to make meaningful distance or pace, seeming that with each stop resulting in more and more time lost. Distractions upon distractions, the only thing that were clear through it all that she was ready to be done with travelling. Done with trying to orchestrate arrangements, coordinate her own escort in spite of the people whom lacked the basic ability to determine and carry out anything on their own. Frustrating, at minimum. Insufferable in the end. Enough so that this served as her absolute best option. To venture on her own, traversing roads that had long been destroyed, left to rot by the elements and whatever war may have once plagued these lands. Doubtful much traffic had been seen upon these roads for the past several years, all of them being now remnants of a past time. A long, winding graveyard of past lifetimes, now simply just a broken-down relic of a past age. If there were any benefit to the travel, it was the calm travel, the risk that did not seem to exist along these roads. Though she were at risk, to venture these roads were to put one’s own life at risk, an effort that anyone who may have sought to find Astrid would not have dared attempt themselves. Unlike while venturing through the other areas of Fiore that she had travelled prior to now, this was almost like that of a vacation. The greater thing of it came with the knowledge knowing that once it were all said and done that she would be within Oak Town, a place that finally, for what was feeling like had not been years, she would be given an opportunity to sit back and breath.
