Dominic, Clergy of Light Dominic heard of a general quest board that anyone can pick up jobs in order to make money, and given that he was low on funds, he figured he'd look through the options. One immediately caught his attention, it was low reward, but the requester was an older lady in need, so the clergyman decided to accept the quest without a second thought and immediately made his way to the Horizon Apartments. The apartment complex seemed old, and despite the renovations made, Dominic could see the hints of its age and the plants that had embraced and hugged the building structures. Regardless of its look, the area seemed comforting and the shine of the sunlight breaking through the branches of the high trees, brought a wonderful glow to the area. In front of the apartment building, sweeping the steps in a steady motion was an older lady. "Excuse me, miss, could you tell me where I can find Ms. Betty?" he approached her with a slight head bow and presented her with the posting he retrieved. "My, aren't you a kind young man" the older woman said with a soft and welcoming tone, looking up at Dominic before checking the posting, "That'll be me whom you're looking for, its nice to meet you." "Pleasure to meet you too, Ms. Betty, I'm Dominic, and I'm here to help you if you don't mind" He rolled up the posting before pocketing it within his cloak. "Well then, let's get right to it" Betty said as she turned around to begin walking up the steps to the main door of the building. Dominic was quick to gently retrieve the broom from her and assist her, seeing how frail she seems to be. As they entered the building and began walking down the hall of the first floor, she explained her situation, "The neighborhood is beautiful and the locals are very kind, I don't need too many things, so I am happy with the size of my apartment, but the mess that was left by the previous renters is too much for me to be able to handle". They would reach her door as she would then began carefully retrieving her key. "Don't worry, Ms. Betty, I'll make sure to leave the place spotless so you can feel comfortable in your own home" Dominican assured her with a smile. "Oh how sweet you are, and with such a voice for radio" Betty complimented him as she managed to finally find her key and open the door. As the door swung open, the room was revealed to the clergyman, a mess that he realized Betty had not emphasized enough, but he held his expression as to not worry her. He placed a comforting hand on her shoulder before he entered through the doorway. She would hand him the key as he assured her he would have this done by the end of the day. With a calming smile, Betty walked away to take care of some errands. 505 |

Dominic, Clergy of Light He took one look around the small room, trying to figure out where to start in the cleaning process. Dominic gave a deep sigh as he removed his cloak and placed it to the side in an area he could easily remember. He would begin moving things about, separating stuff by sizes before exiting to retrieve cleaning material and trash bags. The start was difficult but the clergyman managed to get a good flow. Bags upon bags were being filled and stacked upon each other until Dominic had to relocate them to the hallway. After coughing once, he donned a cleaning mask and tied up a handkerchief onto his head. The room was finally cleared out by the time the sun began to dip towards the horizon. He then switched to using cleaning detergent and a rag to wipe down the windows, the counter tops of the kitchen area, and any nooks and crannies. Then lastly, he would then sweep and then mop the floor. When finally done, Dominic took a deep sigh, then stretched his arms to release the tension within his muscles. The job was done. He looked out the window so see Becky walking up to the steps. he called out to her and informed her that he was done. When Becky arrived at the apartment, she was overjoyed and thanked Dominican by presenting him with a cookie she referred to as 'magical'. The clergyman didn't think much of it, but thanked her nevertheless, feeling accomplished for doing a good deed for the older woman, "Gracias, Doña" he said to her before departing. 266 | 771 [Exit] |
