Traveling from Western Fiore to Hosenka was not as unpleasant as Zendreyu imagined it would be. Once again using service-connected benefits and discounts allowed Zendreyu to eat well and be seated in a reasonably nice place. Hosenka was the next destination and his transports and magic circles were easily arranged. Baska's tournament area had stories about Zendreyu's father so he would have to return there soon to learn more. Zendreyu found his mind wondering while he thought about his challengers from House Tilon. Their animosity for a son that was never even allowed to fully participate in House Tilon events was disturbing. Their feelings towards his father were what really pushed Zendreyu's buttons.

Zendreyu’s sense of smell and internal energy senses were actually growing stronger after his matches. This was odd for Zendreyu as he felt he was too old to be experiencing abrupt improvement. However, since Zendreyu was training to regain confidence in himself and attain newfound strength for his damaged body he accepted any improvements he could get. Zendreyu had found very few methods to reclaim the prowess he had lost due to his battlefield injuries. Zendreyu had originally kept his usage of House Tilon battle arts taught to him by his father to a bare minimum. After his fights in the tournament Zendreyu focused more on the broken sigils and runes that formed new connections with his skeletal system while he was healing during and after his matches. His martial arts used to be able to link with his internal armor but now his martial arts combined with his mental focus instead. This odd feeling was becoming familiar as Zendreyu used his mental focus to further train his willpower. Zendreyu was learning to wield his mental focus for actual combat, he also already relied on his mental focus as a way to maintain consciousness against severe injuries. Since his mental focus affected his body directly, Zendreyu was determined to use it to its fullest.

Focusing his mind, Zendreyu brought up his personal breathing methods, an amalgam of military methods and lessons from his parents. Zendreyu cleared his mind as runes and internal energy synchronized with one-another as the internal armor maintained his skull, neck, spine and rib cage. Zendreyu could feel his internal armor react to his thoughts and not simply his actual environment. Zendreyu had yet to decide when to use some growth potions he received after his service completion. Zendreyu signed up for the working parties for the Blue Pegasus/ Fairy Tail Guild's relaxation events then went to get a room for 4 nights. Time to plan out his training and then focus his time on furthering his status in the Baska tournaments which he would use for special training for himself and support funds for the family ranch.
