Overall: The Prince if he meant to masquerade as the Pauper but couldn't give up his finer threads nor the withering haughtiness in his eyes. Momiji is a perfect example of fine breeding with fair skin and soft hair, bright eyes and straight teeth, emerald within its trove of gold and the dragon that sits atop it all; hungry. By all accounts, he is very twinkish. A lithe, sprightly character, bounding with intent difficult to ascertain until the final hour. His movements are performative, and his every whim spelled by the way he chooses to trample or hang off of whatever catches his interest with those grubby little arms.

Extra: He tends toward sleek suits, the cloak of an assassin or frillish noblemen attire - all for whatever suits him that day, and all with the same little grin like a crown he wears with unjust pride.

Personality

Personality: Momiji Tachibana is a precocious boy, little in frame but not in the spearpoint of his mind. He's tactically minded - tactless all the same, even from a young age - to search for the weakness in anything if for no other reason but to see it tick just to tock it out of its stabilization. He plays with people like he plays with toys; he's not manipulating nor even really getting anything he wants from them (aside from attention, considering) and there's no apparent end-goal save stressing a breaking point, but he seems to just enjoy the lively act of chaos in and of itself. He's a needling creature, never quite telling the truth - if anything, he's a pathological liar with a smile - relying on his earnest face to cleave through the anger of the toys he's broken.

He's not irredeemably evil, but a wicked creature without cause for its wickedness is as evil as someone could inherently be - he lacks motive and he lacks needs outside of his own whims, and a Fae's sidhe doesn't absolve him when he takes joy in his actions with or without it. Whilst he doesn't occupy himself with murder for the sake of murder, he's still known to partake in darker activities with little regard for the safety of himself or the people around him. He values himself lightly, his life second-thought. Momiji is not prideful or ambitious. He just kind of sucks because it's fun and he has no reason to be different.

That is, unless he『Loves』you. Every kid has a favorite toy. A stuffed animal they squeeze and squeeze until its poor little eyes pop out and its stuffing breaks through its threadbare arms. Colloquially, this could be defined as 'yanderism', though it goes above romantic possession. This can be applied to objects as much as any passing fancy or friend that draws his interest, applying his black morality to how his focus shifts to the people and things around them rather than seeking to dismantle the target of this 'love.' He's a collector. He likes cute things, he likes funny things, he likes downright entertaining things and things that like him back, and he's not the shy or subtle type. One day, perchance, he'll own everything that catches his eye - for now, he simply claims them by any means.

Likes:

  • Playing with Fire Chaos: Momo is, ultimately, the most befitting image of an Unseelie Court Fairy in the body of a Fae - he earns his sidhe and he plays his part perfectly, without any acting required. He might not be a monster - yet - but he commits little atrocities, and he'll revel in each flicker of the firelight until it all comes burning down for him. There's no goal to it. Just the excitement.

  • Things he『Loves』: Owing to his trope of yanderism and unique, pseudo-socio pathology, Momo has severe attachment issues if not strict dependency. If he likes something - if it's cute or has an interest in any other way - he claims it, he takes it, it's his, and he『loves』it. He holds uncomfortably tight to these objects and people and derides anything around them that doesn't come back to him.

Dislikes:

  • Irritation/Being Challenged: He was raised spoiled and aspects of this still remain, even if he's used to fighting for what he wants rather than just being handed it. People who go out of their way to make it harder for him are much more of a nuisance, and he sees little issue with cutting them down to step over what's left and get what he wants anyway.

  • Broken Toys: What's the point of something that's no fun anymore? While the breaking of something he'd played with too much is a natural end to his time with it, that doesn't stop his attention from completely blotting it out until it might as well no longer exist. This goes for people and things that he doesn't 'love' especially.

Motivations:

  • Collectathon: If Momo had one actionable, material goal in the world that wasn't just causing trouble for the sake of trouble, it'd be to build up his palace of lost toys and have them all be his beloved things unconditionally. He'll take unique people, rare items, and even whole locations under his control if given the chance, and he'll only be satisfied when everything he ever likes is his alone.

  • Freedom: It's worth noting on an aside that he's currently on the run from Joya and is taking whatever leaps he needs to maintain his freedom from his family's influence.

Fears:

  • Abandonment: There had to be something human in there, didn't there? He could care less if the average, faceless masses don't care for him, let alone his family name and the people he left behind - but if anything he『loved』were to scorn him, well, something would just die, wouldn't it? Consistent rejection up to straight abandonment outside of his control would simply break him.

  • Ugliness: This isn't a matter of vanity - Momo at best understands and weaponizes how cute he is, but he equally understands the ugly parts of the world and goes out of his way to deride them and other people that embody them. The idea of it being turned on him, all of his dark distastefulment laid out to bare, and his face turned away on this basis ... His 'ego' might be too fragile.

Magic

Magic Name: Machiavellian Dollhouse Magic

Magic Element: Arcane

Magic Enhancement: Holder Magic: Gun

Magic Description: Machiavellian Dollhouse Magic is a type of arcane destability and Summoning arte that allows the user to draw forth fiends from the abyss - namely lesser demons, though more powerful servants could be bound by a more powerful mage. For the duration of their summoning on Earthland they are beholden to the user's whims and commands, rarely happily, and can be used to fight or perform various menial tasks.

History

History: The Tachibana family is one of many prestigious old blood, old money, old standings noble houses dating back to ancient Joya. They hold only as much power as any of the elite houses beholden to the Shogunate, but they retain their estate and the prestige that comes with what they once were, establishing a secluded and outdated community behind closed gates and high walls; to hold on to what of their status remains. The family is large and exclusively composed of blood relations and their partners, allowed to marry out of the clan solely for the purpose of its continuance.

Tachibana no Momiji was born to the current clan heads and is groomed to be the next heir to the Tachibana family, a particularly trite idea the more you see of the world outside of your cloistered room. Momo - as he decided he'd go by early on, a first act of rebellion against his strict parents and the responsibilities placed on him by birth alone - would grow to dream of anything that wasn't these walls, his servants and his benefactors, and a place away from his parents most of all. His life was unexciting. It was scheduled. Organized. Obsessively so; he had a plan to follow, and it had to be what his parents wanted of him, for the continued good of their name if not the greater Shogunate of Joya. They didn't so much as respect his identity until he took the first real steps away -- sneaking out on odd nights with the servant girls sworn to secrecy.

The Joya outside of this "commune" was a place far more mystical and with more interest to him than what he was allowed within. It was the babbling of these retainers to his parents under their threats greater than his that snapped the final thread - he wasn't going to remain here just to be the face of a title he couldn't care less for, especially for all the childish wonder it had taken from him and the sense of self he had all but lost in every closed room meeting. He didn't care for it - he didn't care for it at all - and he learned quickly that if he didn't care for something, it didn't need to exist at all. He was taught well how the world thought of its lower classes and their purpose to someone like him, the person he was meant to be, and he'd argue he could have that with or without the Tachibana name.

So he leaves. He cuts and runs in the night to the sounds of their shouting and distant pleas overtaken with bewilderment, leaving it all behind to scurry his way off on the next boat bound for [anywhere but here.] He'd take anything. He'd do anything. He'd be anything. He'd be so true to himself - what he wants, what he doesn't, what he could so much as think to - that it'd make the world sick. He'd be candy so rotten it eats through the earth on contact with its grass. He'd have everything he wanted.

No matter what.

And what better starting point than a place that valued the people around them and their freedom like he did? Well. Almost like he did. After all -- Momo『loved』his guild.
