Details

Description: Gae Bolg is a 1,85m long blood red spear, tipped by a single sharp blade and adorned with runic markings and multiple barbs.

History: In the Caelese Myths of old, it's said that this legendary spear has been carved from the skull of the Sea monster Curruid. For many years it remained in the posession of an immortal warrior Queen, who passed it on to her greatest, most beloved disciple. That student went on to become famour hero in his own right, with which he ultimately killed his own son, unaware of this identity, filling the man with regret. Famed as a cursed spear, it's said to ravage an enemy's body from the inside out with countless thorns, an inescapable curse that would always hit its mark and fell any who stood in its path.

Effects

Barbed Spear that Pierces with Death: Enemies stabbed by Gae Bolg are immediately afflicted by the hindered status on the damaged limb. This hindered status cannot be healed. Additionally, they take a Constitution debuff equivalent to the rank of the damage dealt. The debuff lasts for two turns and does not stack, however it can be refreshed with additional hits.
Physical Armor piercing: Gae Bolg's high piercing power allows it to ignore armor worn by opponents.

Effect: The user takes aim at a target and throws Gae Bolg in the air, causing it to glow in a blood red light as it instantly homes in on the chosen enemy at spell speed. The spear can only move in straight lines and sharp turns as it beelines for the chosen enemy. This spell cannot be deactivated by the user and the target cannot be changed once thrown, as Gae Bolg will not stop until it has struck its foe or has been defended against. Damage dealt is equal to half the thrower's strength, is treated as physical damage, and is unaffected by modifiers to item spell damage. Once Gae Bolg has struck a target, it disappears and instantly reappears in the wielder's hand.
