Yuuki, Yumi, and Miyuki walked slowly down the street of Orchidia, as they both had cast Advanced metamorphose on themselves earlier that day. This was starting to become quite common for the trio and certainly more than Yuuki would have liked and that maybe it was time to go else where and see the sights and sounds of another location, but alas he was stuck in Orchidia for the time being with his two companions. Yuuki had been called to help with a murder investigation by Inspector Nilan as they were apparently having some issues finding evidence linking them to a specific individual and no one had seen any of the murders or left any traces behind to point them in the proper direction of a suspect "Please for the love of my fucking sanity tell me were not here to kill rats again." Miyuki stated in pleading manner as she was not sure she could handle taking that quest on once again "Relax Miyuki, were helping out with a murder investigation." Yuuki said with a reassuring smile "Murder?" Miyuki said curiously as a predatory grin spread across her face "Miyuki... were not murdering anyone." Yumi said with a Sigh "Either way better than dealing with stupid fucking rats." She said with a slight growl in her voice.

Yuuki sighed shaking his head as they made their way to the Rune Knights head quarters for the area, maybe they really did need a vacation and then maybe Yumi and Miyuki wouldn't be at each others throats all the time or maybe he just needed to just spar with Miyuki to let her direct her energies into another direction and hopefully help her take her frustrations out in a combat setting since they really haven't had too many instances recently where the violent and vulgar sprite had the opportunity to stretch he legs lately. Yuuki lost in thought almost walked right past Rune Knight head quarters when Yumi grabbed his elbow snapping him out of his musings "Alright sleepy head this way." Yumi teased as she guided him up the steps of Rune Knight head quarters, Yuuki paused outside the open door and slapped his cheeks a few times to snap himself out of the funk he was under due to the bickering sprites before going to meet with the Inspector Nilan.

Yuuki went to the front desk of the Rune Knights head quarters and asked where he could find inspector Nilan and was told he could be found down the hall in the conference hall but he was currently in a meeting with people concerning a different case he had been working and Yuuki was informed that there should be a bench down at the end of the hall just outside the conference where he could wait for inspector Nilan. Yuuki thanked the person at the front desk and made his way down the hall to the bench before taking a seat hoping that once he got out of his meeting with Mr.Nilan that the two pixies would not be in an all out brawl or worse in handcuffs for fighting outside what was essentially a police office. Yuuki did not have to wait long as it had seemed like only five or so minutes had passed before the door opened and some people and Inspector Milan stepped out, the inspector on spotting Yuuki stepped back in and waved Yuuki insides before shutting the door behind them.

After inspector Milan had invited him into the room he did not even waste anytime getting down to the business since apparently this was a urgent case since a murderer on the loose that left nothing to link the crimes to anyone was a major issue. Inspector Nilan explained that he was going to pair Yuuki up with three Rune Knights who were familiar with the case to be his guide to show him and his companions around to the two crime scenes so far and they could also provide any evidence they had collected thus far while allowing Yuuki unobstructed access to both of the crime scenes, however inspector Nilan did note that the three Rune Knights he paired him up with would only provide the evidence they had found thus far and the location of both crime scenes before leaving as they had other duties to attend to so he would be flying solo on this quest with out much support from the Rune Knight office.

Yuuki stood and nodded thanking the inspector before heading for the door to which the inspector called the three Rune Knight escorts to the lobby to meet Yuuki. Yuuki made his way back to the lobby to meet the three Rune Knights who were already waiting on him, so Yuuki asked them to hand over all evidence found so far, and he was handed two bags a one held a knife with a bloody blade the other held a pair of leather gloves and was told that's all they had found and it was found at the last crime scene to which Yuuki nodded and told the three to lead him to the first crime scene and they were off and out the door to have Yumi and Miyuki fall into step beside Yuuki. Yuuki sighed in relief after seeing the two had not gotten physical while he was inside "Did you find anything else out?" Yumi asked curious "Unfortunately no." Yuuki said softly trying to keep their conversation hushed but Miyuki had other idea's "Go fucking figure, not only can the cops not solve this case on their own they do not even have any info for you to go off of, talk about incompetent." Miyuki said in a mocking tone.

Yuuki noticed the sun hung low in the sky meaning it would be dark soon and that they had maybe and hour at most to investigate both crime scenes to see if they could deduce anything. As they walked one of the Rune Knights mentioned that all the victims had been Young beautiful women and that most of them had been eviscerated with surgical precision as if the murderer had surgical knowledge making Yuuki wonder how they had not tracked someone like that down as there couldn't be too many people in the area with that sort of knowledge, although there was always the black market where one could get just about anything for the right price. They arrived at the first crime scene not too long after and Yuuki poked about and looked around for a few minutes coming up empty handed as all he could deuce was that there was a struggle and someone got thrown into some crates before being murdered.

When he got to the second site the Rune Knights took there leave, allowing Yuuki time to look around in and check things with out people looking over his shoulders but alas he found nothing at this site either besides signs of a struggle. right as Yuuki was about to call it a day and pick this up the next day there was a scream and some crashing sounds close by. Yuuki and his companions sprinted to the area to find a young beautiful woman with her insides on the outside and a blade plunged into her heart with leather gloves draped over the top of the hilt but no one was around. Some Rune Knights also came running over having heard the commotion and were suspicious of the trio until Yuuki explained he was hired by Inspector Nilan to investigate and produced a piece of paper giving Yuuki access to the crime scenes with inspector Nilan's seal on it and they backed off.

The present scene told them very little but he was certain they were nearby still as they couldn't have gotten far especially with the sun having just gone down and the street lamps were just now being lit so navigating in the dark would be a chore for a lot of people, so Yuuki had a plan he whispered to Miyuki to go find a secluded spot nearby and pretend she was not paying attention and he and Yumi would lie in wait nearby. Miyuki sat there for about ten or so minutes when Yuuki noticed a shadowy figure peering around the edge of a building at Miyuki, so Yuuki using his half-soundless racial trait crept around to get behind the man, once behind the man Yuuki produced a dagger from somewhere up his sleeve and quickly placed it against the masked figures throat and instructed the individual to put their hands up to which the did, Yuuki then pulled the knife away and roughly slammed the dude face first into the ground stepping on the middle of his back as he put the cuffs he carried on him for bounty hunting on the individual before rolling them over and removing the mask to realize it was one of the three Rune Knights from earlier, which explained how the man had been getting away with it since he knew their patrol schedules and investigative procedures. Yuuki called Miyuki over as the three of them escorted the man back to Rune knight Head quarters to put this man away and collect their reward.
