Personal Name: Malacanth Yagami Age: 18 Gender: male Class: Sorcerer Rank: C-rank Guild: Guildless Tattoo: Directly over his heart in the traditional guild colors Face: Light Yagami-Death Note Appearance Height: 6'1 Weight: 167 lbs Hair: brunette hair that at its longest reaches his eyes in certain places. Eyes: glowing crimson red eyes, with overlapping black runes that seem to be carved into them Overall: Malacanth has a trim physique, with little fat visible anywhere. While not muscular, there is a bit of muscle definition similar to how a swimmer looks. Scars crisscross his torso, which is otherwise looks extremely pale. His angular face rests in a neutral expression, revealing not a hint of emotion other than mild bemusement. His hair is kept rather messy, with little care for where it rests. His hair is barely long enough to cover his eyes, which he often does to keep them hidden. He wears what would normally be considered a business casual attire. His shirt is a simple white collared shirt, which he keeps unbuttoned, revealing a white t-shirt. In hotter weather he would usually forgo the buttoned shirt. Malacanth completes his look with blue jeans and black shoes. Extra: N/A Personality Personality: If there was ever a man who kept his thoughts to himself, this is that man. Malacanth keeps his cards close to his chest, revealing little while analyzing everything. This introspective nature often comes off as abrasive, using little tact in his speech. He always goes straight to the point, seeing little use for pleasantries and idle chatter. In interactions with people he considers worthy of his time or in the rare case, genuine friend, you see a softer side of Malacanth. While not exactly warm, he becomes much more tolerant of conversation not pertaining to the task at hand. With friends, he has even been known to give a soft smile at occasions. This is as soft as Malacanth has been known to be, as emotions don't come easy to him, and when they do they are often muted. He sees little value in displays of emotion, so these are kept a minimum whenever possible. Underneath this calm persona though, is a monster waiting to be released. Due to his upbringing and nature of his magic, he has a bloodlust for combat. While he will initially attempt to avoid unnecessary engagements, that is because he hates who he becomes once his adrenaline starts pumping. He does not simply fight for his survival, he fights for the kill, the feeling before he sends his prey to Helheim is one that is as intoxicating as it is horrifying to him. While not incapable of mercy, it is with great force of will and regret that he does. To see a fallen opponent walk away is something that goes against his very nature. This dichotomy between his normally calm persona and his bloodlust is one that he self loathes. He didn't ask for this lust, and he sure as hell doesn't enjoy it. Likes:

Magic Magic Name: Bearer of Helheim Magic Element: frost Magic Description: The Bearer of Helheim is the chosen conduit between the goddess Hel and the human world. In return for control over the element of ice, the bearer must dedicate their life to combat, for every man or woman they kill is sent to Helheim.(all rp stuff) The Bearer can use his control over ice for offensive, defensive, supplementary, and buffing strength purposes. The magic has the natural weakness to fire and is strong against earth History History: Malacanth's early history is lost to time. He has never known where he was taken from, or if his parents were even alive. All he remembers are the ruins. The cave wall, dimly lit with one lacrima giving off a light in the center of the cavern. The entrance to the cavern was closed off by steel bars, tight enough for even the smallest of children to have a hard time squeezing through. This was reality for him, the only one he and the nine other kids residing with him knew. The only contact they had was with hooded figures, people he later would find out to be the followers of Hel. Of course, to his young mind, they were nothing more than his jailers and tormenters. Malacanth and his fellow children were simple subjects for the cultists, being used to find ways to draw Hel into this world. They were told the pain and suffering they were going through was for their own good. Hel would reward them all in the afterlife for the sacrifices they made today. This did little to comfort Malacanth. All he wanted was to to get away. To escape this hell where one could only tell the passage of time by when they woke you up for the next horrific ritual. This lasted up until he was thirteen, with little to break the monotony of sleep and torture. Only five kids, including him were still in this Hell. Malacanth never knew what happened to the others, but it was doubtful they escaped. The cultists at this point were in high spirits. They had overheard on numerous occasions that they were close to bringing Hel into the world, one way or another. This scared the children, the being that they suffered for was not something they wanted to meet. A little after his fourteenth birthday, they had stopped experimenting on them for a few weeks. The kids didn't really know what was happening, as the cultists had stopped coming to the cells besides occasionally feeding them. The next event has only been relayed to Malacanth by a fellow survivor who escaped, as the trauma he received from the ritual seemed to have made him forget what occurred due to the sheer pain involved.. The cultists had seemed to have chosen Malacanth has what they kept referring to as the gate into Helheim. They apparently thought they could release Hel from her realm by using his body as a go between. Placing him in a magic circle, the cultists activated it, which caused ice to encase him and the floor where the magic circle was drawn. His eyes glazed over, and slowly changed from a soft brown, to a bright red, with his pupils deforming into the runes that are there today. The cultists instantaneously turned into ice, becoming statues for some unknown reason. Malacanth was told that the ice broke off his body as soon as the runes had finished engraving themselves into his eyes, and he woke up an hour afterwards. Suddenly he could create ice with ease, and could hear whispers in his head, Hel herself telling him to kill and fight in her name to satiate her hunger for souls. He ignored the whispers, deciding to turn his back on the goddess who inspired others to commit the atrocities he was put through. Him and the others wandered their way through the cave system they had lived in for all their lives, and finally saw something they had only knew existed theoretically, the sky. He would later learn the area they were in is called the Worth Wood Sea. Over time, him and the survivors split off, learning to live in a world they didn't even know existed. Malacanth wandered through the towns and cities, learning about the simple things others took for granted. Without a place in the world to call his home, he still wanders, looking for something to live for. |
