Magnolia Description: Magnolia possesses a large built-up area, extending over a large, rectangular surface to the shores of Sciliora. Splitting the city vertically and horizontally is a series of large roads. The whole place is western in style, with its buildings being mildly reminiscent of neat Medieval ones. Located almost in the middle of the city, overlooking the Central Path is Kardia Cathedral, one of Magnolia's most important and distinctive landmarks. In the northernmost part of the city, sitting on the shore of Lake Scilliora, is Fairy Tail's building. To the west, on a hill overlooking the built-up area, is the Guild's female dormitory, Fairy Hills. In the southeastern section of the city is the train station. Near the city's western border - to the north of the train station - is the entrance to the park.
Localization: Magnolia is located in the center of the southeastern part of Fiore, with the sea and Hargeon City not too far to the south. A series of minor built-up areas (namely Onibus, Kunugi, Oshibana and Clover Town) are linked to Magnolia by a railway line to the north, and the state boundary with the nation of Bosco lies to the east.
Politics: Magnolia is governed by lord Medias Syrases. The city has been under the governance of the noble Syrases since it has been founded. Most nobles find Medias a strange and odd lord, but he is deeply loved by all of his citizens. He loves to crack jokes constantly and knows how to have a good time. The citizens enjoy the fact that Medias throws all sorts of festivals in Magnolia. He has supported the Fairy Tail guild through various hardships that they have endured in the past.
Economy: Magnolia relies mostly on outsiders spending their money at all the shops in the city. The city also generates a lot of income with all the money spent at the many festivities. There are a lot of adventurers and merchants traveling through Magnolia, often making a quick purchase before they leave.
Culture: Magnolia is a festive city with many events occurring throughout the year. Lord Medias loves these festivities and finds it a fun way to generate income for their city rather than focusing his time on trade. Not only do the locals enjoy these festivals, but outsiders travel from all over Fiore to be a part of these festivals from time to time depending on their interests. The locals are open to outsiders. Many believe this open-minded attitude is the work of lord Medias, since his festivals brought locals a lot more in contact with outsiders.
