Personal Name: Nyssa Zale Age: 19 (March 2) Gender: Female Class: Cleric Rank: D-rank Guild: Blue Pegasus Tattoo: Left Upper Thigh| Blue Face: Nanami Haruka | Uta no☆prince-sama♪ Appearance Height: 5'3" | 160 cm Weight: 115 lbs | 52 kg Hair: Orange | To Chin Eyes: Gold Overall: Still growing into womanhood, Nyssa is a slender young lady. Her generally thin frame may suggest upon first glance frailty and weakness, despite the well hidden muscle tone and strength that her body possesses. Indeed, despite her petite frame, Nyssa is fairly sturdy especially when her size is taken into consideration: This is due to growing up, and working on a farm. Generally well composed in terms of attire, its rare to see the maiden without well pressed dresses and skirts, or a hair out of place-- an appearance she works desperately to keep up, though behind closed doors, after she has retired for the evening the young woman dresses explicitly for comfort and functionality: tucking her hair back into sloppy ponytails; donning over sized shirts and sweatshirts. Extra: Nyssa has a scar at the base of her neck, obtained when she fell from a tree as a young child. Personality Personality: First impressions can be hard to shake. The overall consensus of those meeting Nyssa Zale is that she is a shy, quiet young lady. One to be a quiet observer, it is rare for the girl to speak in front of others, let alone be a center of attention. Many people think this is because she is painfully shy, unable to utter a peep-- rather she communicates when she has to through gestures and facial expressions. Many have even gone far enough to speculate that the young woman is mute. In reality, all of these first impressions couldn't be further than the truth. The young woman is strongly opinionated, and wears her emotions on her sleeves. She desires desperately to be seen as well-composed and put together: a prim example of young lady-hood, which is why she remains quiet and reserved around most people she doesn't know well, as she knows that the second she opens her mouth, a judgement will soon follow: Nyssa grew up in a rural town. A farm girl at heart, she knows that her speech: a strong drawl and poor grammar break whatever illusion that she may be able to compose with her looks. While Nyssa has no qualms showing her true self with people that she knows and trusts, it can take quite a while for her to open up enough to show someone this part of her nature. When she finally does, people become privvy to her quick-witted, sarcastic sense of humor. Seeing that she can be teasing and sharp tongued, though it is all in good fun. She actually enjoys conversation, when she doesn't have to worry about the judgement that is tagged along with it. Despite the trust that has to be gained to get to know Nyssa in her true totality, there are some aspects of her personality that remain obvious even to those who haven't gained her trust. She generally comes across to everyone as positive and happy go lucky. She is a firm believer that life is most fulfilling when grey clouds are seen through a silver lens. An optimist, she believes in the good in people, and will go out of her way to help someone in need. Unafraid to get her hands dirty, Nyssa is a firm believer in hard work. She is motivated to become better, stronger, faster, smarter, more well-liked... you name it. She will be the first to admit that she has room to grow-- in every area, and can be rather studious in attempting to approve. She can get frustrated and moody if she feels like there is a challenge that she can't seem to achieve, but she is tactful enough to sit and contemplate a situation that is puzzling before acting. The young woman has a tendency to be stubborn and proud. She has a hard time accepting (let alone asking) for help. She would rather work herself half-to-death than grovel to someone for aid. She has a hard time changing her mind, when she has already decided on a certain outcome. When someone suggests a path that would be easier to get to said outcome, she'll begrudgingly oblige, though she will often wallow that she didn't think of something so obvious. Despite her generally positive demeanor, her pride can occasionally lead her into fits of rage. She can be blinded with anger, particularly in response to acts of injustice: either directed towards herself or others. In instances such as this, she will do whatever she can in her power to get even with the person that she has felt has committed a transgression. This can be either passive or overt, depending on the situation and individual. Regardless it's not a position in which most enjoy being on the receiving end. Likes:

Magic Magic Name: Cryomency Magic Element: Frost Magic Description: Cryomency is a form of frost magic used primarily for its healing properties. The caster uses ice to promote healing in another person's body. Spells can be cast from a distance, but tend to be most effective when skin to skin contact can be achieved. It can also be used to buff other allied statistics, as well as to cast additional supplementary spells. Frost magic, being elemental in nature is strong against earth magic, and weak against fire. History History: Nyssa Zale is a farm girl at heart. Raised in a rather small, rural community, the young girl wasn't exposed to much of the outside world. There were few she knew outside of her rather large family, and the few families on surrounding farms. While she and her eight siblings all attended the local school, their education was rudimentary, as evidenced in the twang of her voice as she speaks. Needless to say, her childhood was a simple one. For the most part, it was happy as well. Always a child that sought positivity and optimism, she was well liked by her siblings and the other local kids. A tomboy at heart, she was often one leading the adventures and was unafraid to get dirty. Righteous and strong-willed even in her youth, Nyssa was opinionated and strong. Of course, no childhood is all rainbows, and Nyssa's is no different. Indeed, growing up in a rural area certainly had its burdens, though the young woman isn't one to fixate on such details. Instead, she much prefers to look at these as a way of building character: teaching her essential skills such as frugality, perseverance, and the value of a hard day's work. Truthfully, the girl would likely have been content living her dying days in this life (as it is hard to imagine something so starkly different from anything you have ever known) if she had never gotten a taste of the outside world. When Nyssa was thirteen, she fearlessly ascended a tree, in an attempt to coax down a small orange tabby cat that had fled from her younger brother and his dog. The poor feline had gotten stuck nearly three stories up in the old tree. She had climbed many trees in her youth, and as though it was second nature, she ascended the tree to retrieve the feline. As she crawled out on the branch, reaching for it, the tree limb snapped beneath her weight. The cat found its way to the ground, unscathed. Nyssa, however, was not so lucky. A bloody, mangled pulp: pummeled by the branches as she fell, she was an unconscious heap at the tree's base. She herself is uncertain of the details of the events that happened next, in the time between her fall, and her groggy awakening, as the story is often different depending on who tells it, but the emotions after her awakening are still clear to Nyssa. She remembers vividly, the foreign, stark white room: the crisp white bed sheets beneath her frame: the dull ache of her head, and how cool the gentle breeze in the room felt against her newly shaved neck... The sound of heels clicking against the floor, as a well dressed woman opened the door: Her grey eyes peering over red spectacles as scanned over Nyssa's frame, and her well articulated voice as she propped the girl up, cooing. Her soft, cold hand pressing against the base of the girl's neck as the other worked its way up and down her spine: a magic touch. Nyssa was lucky to be alive. She would be even luckier to walk again. The words that told that to her resonated deep in a pit of her stomach. She was determined to be even luckier. The little clinic that she called home for nearly six months was on the outskirts of a moderately sized city. For the most part it was only Nyssa and the mage doctor that occupied the clinic for any substantial periods of time, though patrons would come in and entertain the mostly bedridden teen of tales of the outside world. Even the monotonous tasks of everyday city life entranced the young girl, as she absorbed as much as she could. She had never experienced life as they had, and her curiosity fueled her. By her fourth month, motivated by the stories, and the mage-doctors healing hands, she had managed to hobble a few shakey steps. By the fifth, she could make short walks into the city, though often pushing herself too far: driven by the sheer curiosity of the city-life around her. By month six, she was given a bill of clean health, and shipped back home. Monotonous. The everyday activities of rural farm life bored her, though the girl choked back the complaints, in fear of devastating her family. For four years, she worked in silence, yearning with every fiber of her being for the flavor of the city she had barely gotten taste of. It was after a good harvest, in her eighteenth year that Nyssa worked up the courage to leave: determined to become a mage: to help others in the same way that the mage-doctor helped her, and to see the world. She was motivated to become a better person: to learn as much as she possibly could. After apprenticing for a little under a year beneath the mage-doctor that oversaw her recovery, Nyssa developed basic skills in healing magic, and was encouraged by her mentor to join a guild before continuing further training. It was through this advice that Nyssa found her way to the halls of Blue Pegasus. |
